I don't believe any of those unnamed silhouettes are UEE ships.

The big one in the middle is the Retribution, and below it we have in order L - R the Bengal, Pegasus, Javelin, and Idris.
Underneath that (L-R) are the Reclaimer, Starfarer, Retaliator, Redeemer, a gap, and Hull C, D, and E.

Ridiculous? Just because it's a 3 km long ship, 2 km of which is a rail gun?  Just because it uses an Idris as a shuttle craft?  Just because the space between the rails would accommodate a sled on the scale of several Idris lumped together into a world-ending munition?

I'm fairly confident, as time goes on and assuming the CIG has enough cash to stay solvent, that they will continue to add ships as well as other content and features throughout the duration of the games "life cycle". With that, I would also assume this means Capital Class ships like a Battle Cruiser.

There was a mention of a UEE Battlecruiser in the lore as well ( it is considered one step below the Bengal if I recall correctly), but there is no name or hard data was ever given as far as I know.

Nikki gets into the Battlecruiser with Ben in the most recent Bensday (67) if you're looking for an update.

I am betting the Retribution will :

a) never fly and be destroyed in its dock by the Vanduul

or b: be destroyed on its maiden voyage against the Vanduul

or C: be destroyed when it saves the Earth from being completely annihilated by the Vanduul ;)

Either way, it will be very shortlived .....

Gotta say @Booster Terrik, that makes it the worst name ever.

I think its role will be the same as the Behemoth in WC3. It will go off half constructed and get destroyed in a desperate attempt while trying to attack the Kilrathi or defending from the Kilrathi. You are right though that given the name it is more likely that it will be destroyed in a win-all-lose-all gambit to kill the Vanduul home world. I would not be surprised if that big assed nose on the Retribution is a Planet-killer type weapon which the UEE wants to use vs the Vanduul.

I think Admiral Bishop will run off with it to fight Vanduul and leave comms range of the UEE. Then, when the vanduul are besieging earth, the retribution will show up and wreck face.

a). It's already under way

b). It's already seen combat

c). See above, only it can single-handledly wipe out entire capital fleets

Not to say something can't happen to the Retribution in Squadron 42, though.

Several people at CIG have also hinted that something like a Retribution-class superdreadnought would always be present in the universe as a way to keep players in check and prevent them from having too much of a negative influence on the universe (i.e. we can't have a "Burn Jita" without drawing the wrath of the UEE).

its designed for one thing, keeping any player rebellion against the UEE under control ;)

My money is on it going missing and/or being destroyed in SQ42.

But yeh it would be perfect for a role in the PU as peace keeper.
