With 3.0 just around the corner we event coordinators figured it would be a fun idea to throw an event where we all just sit down and play some Star Citizen, before 3.0 get’s released and everything works magically and no one is disappointed or anything of the sorts... Realism Pessimism aside, we have some congratulations due for our raffle winners from April’s Game Day. Congratulations to: @Aegid @LowZone @rimmer59 and @Uthrac, you’re all well deserving of the 10$ gift cards. As there’s been some confusion surrounding the raffles we’re gonna take this opportunity to remind everyone, in case you’ve forgotten the rules for the raffle, or never read them before. The raffles are based on individual activities during Game Day, so here is the list of raffles you can enter: Participation Raffle - by checking in with a host in the Landing Channel, you can be entered Arena Commander Raffle - by attempting any mode within Arena Commander, completing it, and providing a screenshot, you will be entered Host Created event Raffle - by taking part in a Host Created event, completing it, and providing a screenshot, you will be entered Custom Events Raffle - by taking part in an official Custom Event run, you will be entered into this final raffle All the raffle entries will be entered and kept track off by the Game Day Hosts and event coordinators throughout Game Day, prizes offered will be $10 RSI gift cards. In the past, we've had :30 gameplay highlights on Around the Verse, but starting this week, we're expanding our exhibition of fan created content from all walks. For the foreseeable future we'll be collecting and sharing the best, most creative, videos created for Star Citizen. As before, we'll take clips of your best kills, exciting maneuvers, creative endeavors, and anything else worth highlighting, but we're expanding that to machinima, tutorials, and more. You can post your videos here in this thread, and if you want them considered for inclusion, please adhere to the following guidelines: 1) Post them publicly on YouTube. 2) Keep the total length of the video short and concise. 30 seconds to 2 minutes. If you're longer than that, it's probably not going to be considered. 3) Custom music is fine, but it can't trigger YouTube copyright flags. 4) When your video is uploaded, embed it here in this thread. By posting in this thread, you consent to allowing us to use the video in the show. Open Broadcaster is free software that lets you capture 1080p video in H.264 MP4 and is highly recommended. CONTEST: Animated Intro for ATV's "Ship Shape" Segment CIG Disco LandoDiscoLando-CIG Posted: 10:50AM Greetings Citizens If you're a regular watcher of Around the Verse, you've seen our new segment called "Ship Shape." Well, we're having a contest open to citizens interested in contributing an animated intro for the segment. Here are the guidelines: LENGTH: 4-10 seconds. 11 seconds is right out. STYLE: Similar to the existing animated intro for Around the Verse. Think colors, materials, fonts, outer space. It doesn't have to be exact or even that close, but keep it in the same ballpark if you want to be considered. It should look like it's part of the same show, even if it's different. TEXT: Just the words "Ship Shape." Nothing else. FORMAT: Export to 1080p H.264 mp4 and host on YouTube in an Unlisted video. Post link to the Unlisted video here. Be prepared to provide the original video upon request. Contest is open through the end of this month. You can use whatever software you wish to get the finished result. All you need to do is let us know what type of store you'd like to see/shop at in the 'verse! So let us know where you'd shop below! ========== Below was my entry Name:Pioneer Express + Pioneer Outlet Location:Pioneer Express is in Systems with Ship Manufacturers and Large Space Ports + Pioneer Outlet is typically located in the outer Fringe Systems including Lawless Systems Wares:Pioneer Express = Jump Engines, Expanded and Reinforced Fuel Tanks, Long Range Sensors, Navigation Jump Charting CPUs, Mapping Oriented Sensor Suites, Ursa and various Rovers and Medical Bay Ship Modules and various exploration and medical equipment / devices + Pioneer Outlet carries the same items as Pioneer Express but all the used or outdated versions at a much lower price + they will act as a Pawn store for all exploration and medical equipment / devices + they will also buy / pawn / trade Alien Artifacts. Pioneer Outlets are also re-fueling stations and fuel refineries. Back Story: A number of Exploration and Search and Rescue Groups started hiding supply caches in various fringe / lawless systems and they realized it was of greater benefit to share these with others rather than to hide / horde them. At first it evolved into a barter system but this simple system allowed it to spread to all the furthest populated and sometimes un-populated systems. As these cache use became more popular they evolved into supply depots and later on incorporated and franchised into Pioneer Outlets. Pioneer Outlets spread rapidly and developed a cult following of loyal return buyers / traders. This rapid expansion allowed a number of the Pioneer Outlets franchise owners to form larger conglomerations to compete with main stream manufacturers in the core UEE systems. These evolved into Pioneer Express to compete with and provide a one stop shop for all newly manufactured Exploration and SAR needs with the surplus then distributed to the far flung Pioneer Outlets.

Hi all, At the risk of sounding sour, I'll just come out and admit that I am. ;-) But did anyone else notice the winners were mostly non-backers? Name Joined Title 1. Morgageddon 28/11/2013 Colonel 2. Maccisco 21/12/2013 Civilian 3. Vexian 19/11/2012 High Admiral 4. Whooya2ya 17/09/2012 Civilian 5. Silvaste 28/10/2013 Civilian Specifically, the guy that won the Idris-M was created the day after the contest was announced, and appears to be a non-backer account. It sucks that he won my ship. Not much to do about this, but I think a system to reduce fake accounts created only to win contests is past due. I think only accounts with a valid, active, game associated with it at the time of the contest should be eligible to enter. Anyway. The rant makes me feel a bit better, thanks for listening. M
