  1. A lot of new features coming with the 3.17 patch, but one item stands out as EPIC to me. There is a place to hotkey the ATC comm attempt. That's right !! No more clickity click clicking. Finally got a use for the F3 key? I used my up arrow key instead. Up to you. So loot, fuel selling, better inventory, etc, all took second fiddle to an added hotkey. Your mileage may vary. - DRUM out
  2. Star Citizen | Gameplay & Features Needed for Release This is a great video by BoredGamer (actually probably his best video since this required a good amount of research and knowledge) PLEASE don't use this thread as a "Gripe Fest"..... disguised as "constructive criticism"...... saying how long SC is taking in Development and "look how far they need to go to get what they have promised". ONLY those who haven't vested a good amount of time into Alpha 3.2+ would try to make this false premise (the game is playable and fun now in the PU). I for one look forward to CIG implementing their goals and not giving into fast release of junky content or "this is good enough" mentality. Star Citizen will be a historic game not just because of its crowd funding but because of CR's vision to make the Best Damn Space Sim Ever ++++ I've added the thread to spectrum - so please respond there and thought I would add this good first post there: Star Citizen | Gameplay & Features Needed for Release Asmos@Asmos Today at 4:50 pm SC will make a massive impact on gaming as a hole for more than just its success, and gameplay mechanics that will be copied. CIG are making code the will let games do more than what was previously possible. server meshing, and object container streaming, are things that will be used for decades. not only does render to texture increase the capability of lumberyard but how they got around this problem will help people think of was to get around other problems. the popularity of sc will bring FOIP into view of other game companies, and it might just become a standard.
  3. Star Citizen | Gameplay & Features Needed for Release Please watch this video prior to the meeting next Monday on this topic....... and follow this thread if people are posting on it --->> Star Citizen | Gameplay & Features Needed for Release
  4. So, I was just sitting on my computer, jammin' to my music, and I thought: Will Star Citizen have any life-simulation features? What I mean by that is; similar to EVE, will there be a little window where you can open up a real browser and browse the web, and things similar to that? I mean, if CIG wants to make this game as immersive as possible, it'd be nice to not have to tab out/go to another monitor in order to chat with friends or something. Rather, we'd have everything we want in-game! Picture this, right? You're in your ship, exploring the depths of the galaxy. You're in a Constellation, slowly drifting through space. Problem is, it's silent. Yeah, some players might enjoy the silence of space, but not everyone's that type of person. You know what'd make this moment better? Mozart's Symphony No.40 in G minor. But why should you only settle for some music? How about you feed some information into your brain by turning on your holographic screen, and listening to the TNN (TeraNewsNetwork)! News about pirates in the Goss System (Ugh, again?) getting boring? Don't worry, you can still go online to look at funny cat videos (Yes, those are still popular), or talk to your friends on skype/teamspeak/spacebook/whatever. What do you guys think about this? Would like it to be incorporated into the game? I think it'd be a great way to make sure players are fully immersed in the game, and to let hardcore players practically LIVE in the game universe :3 TLDR: It'd be nice if we could go online through an in-game UI, so we can be fully immersed in the game.
