Well it's already been over 24 hours since launch and I appreciate the great response!

I figured we needed a short about us to clear up some questions for newcomers.

First, no we are not affiliated with the official Star Citizen or Roberts Space Industries website. This is a 3rd party fan site, created by a huge fan of the game. When I first visited the "Official Forums" I was very un-impressed with the software driving it. Not that it was bad, but just not what I had in mind for a large community. It seems like it was missing a lot of the fundamentals you get from a traditional forum software like we have setup here.

Here are a few of the goals we have in mind:

Pre-Beta Stage

1. Get people to fund!

2. Discuss game possibilities/rumors.

3. Set the base for a great fan based community.

4. Setup a base for a Guild/Clan/Fleet for the game with users from this site.

Beta/Alpha Stage

1. Continue to build community.

2. Discuss all aspects of the game.

3. Build an information base of "how to's", walkthrough's, and best practices.

4. Help users with support issues.

Launch and After

1. Again continue to build out the community.

2. Help users with support issues.

3. Continue to grow our information base with more detail.
