Hey everybody,

New applicant here, looking to get involved with an Organization for me and my wife.

I have pledged at the Rear Admiral level and my wife at the 300i level. I am looking at getting a Retaliator if they ever come back out for sale and possibly a Mustang.

I have served as an Officer in other MMO guilds and have experience in leading Raids and combat sorties, though it has been a while.

Really looking forward to Star Citizen and getting to know more of the community here.

Some of the things I'm excited most about are multi-crew ships and playing a game where you can walk around your vessel mid-flight. Transitioning to the surface of a planet from orbit(hopefully if they implement that). And as I own an Oculus Rift DK1, I'm really looking forward to playing this game completely immersed in VR.

I'm an avid supporter of immersion and own all sorts of peripherals. This game is what I've dreamed of in a game.

i would be stupid biased to say to come join us at imperium,.... but come join us in imperium lol. either way.... welcome to the starcitizen base,  home of imperium. to join jst follow these easy, and really boring steps

How to Join Imperium (post-RSI launch revision)
The process for becoming a full Imperium Fleet member has been streamlined. All new recruits will now follow these 3 simple steps.

1) Start by making an account on our forums (SCB is a public fansite, as well as the home base of Imperium), here:
http://forums.starcitizenbase.com/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=register

2) Request to join on our RSI Organizations page, putting the Star Citizen Base username that you just created in step 1 in the application box:
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/IMPERIUM

3) Make a post in our RSI recruitment thread to alert HR of your application:https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/16594/imperium-fleet-recruitment-america-asia-europe/

Wait!
Our HR Division will process your app as soon as possible, so please be patient with them. If you don't receive a response within 72 hours, post in our RSI recruitment thread and a member of the HR team will be in touch. In the meantime, browse the excellent content available in the SCB public forum!
What's Next?
After you are accepted to the Fleet, you will gain the status "Recruit," can display the official Imperium Recruit signature, and take the on-boarding exam. The exam is quite easy, but is our way of making sure you are aware of some important info. Once your recruit phase ends, you will gain access to the Fleet Forum and our stellar custom Media Services. For full details on enlisting procedures and Imperium structure, visit the Imperium 101 Wiki.

App FAQs
What is my Star Citizen Base username?
This is the username of the account that you create on our forums (first step)

What is my RSI username?
This is your public handle here on the RSI forums (unsure? check here: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/account/settings). You don't have to use your handle as your SCB username, but it might make it easier for people to know who you are in chat.

Is my Division of Interest final?
No! Feel free to join the division you find most appealing right now, but don't worry if you change your mind, you can always change divisions later. Current Primary Divisions: Exploration, Combat Ops, Trade & Industry, Diplomacy, Intelligence (internal application and additional security clearance required).

Why do I have to apply?
Our HR team vets all applicants prior to admission to the fleet. As the game is still in development, you are primarily joining our friendly community at this point -- we want to ensure Star Citizen Base stays a great place to hang out and discuss SC!

I'm waiting for HR to do something, how can I entertain myself?
Glad you asked! You could join HR at the pub, or check out some of these great Imperium-related links:

First off welcome to the Base and once your app has been approved to Imperium.

Not to push you in any direction but once your app is approved you may want to join a squadron.

So you may want to think about what type of role you are wanting to have in the verse.

There is a squadron for just about everything you can think of...

Also if you are interested in combat, bounty hunting or if you just hate the Vanduul you may want to look at the Eclipse Squadron.

We are easily the largest squadron in Imperium and I would wager that we are the largest squadron in all of Star Citizen.

Give us a look and see what you think....

Once again...welcome to the Base!

Wow, thanks everyone for the awesome welcoming! I am still at work, and will follow the appropriate application steps as soon as i can. Yes, I'm very lucky that my wife is supporting me in this game. It was no easy feat. I had to really sell her on it. I felt like I was on 'Shark Tank' and she was my capital investor. She played LotRO with me and has some MMO experience too. She's more interested in Exploring and economy based gameplay, whereas I am interested in Bounty Hunting, and anything peace-keeping and military related. Love that stuff.

Eclipse Squardon sounds great! I really need to familiarize myself more with the site and Org breakdown. I have spent a lot of time mulling over the Org list on SC site. Imperium seems very professional and friendly and was very attractive to me compared to a lot of other groups. I was tempted to go towards a smaller crowd, but I see a lot a pluses to having a big Org aswell.

Nice VFA-44 tag! Very cool :) I flew VFA-25 in another squadron for IL-2 and WWII OL. Been doing flight/space sims since I was 10. Absolutely love them.

@Daemien

As I said before there are a TON of Squadrons to choose from so don't feel like you have to join Eclipse just because I got to the boards first :)

I am of coursed bias because I joined Eclipse and I think it is great...

BUT I do highly encourage you to check out the different squadrons available and see what fits with your play style.

I love the squadrons because they are like the smaller guilds inside of the larger guild structure.

The 317th Heavy Assault Wing is going to work a lot with the bigger multi-crew ships in combat. We are a fairly new but growing in members but still room for more to fill out the attack flights.

We will also have duties for single seat ships like escort, fleet guard or bounty hunting just to name a few.

Best regards.

in imperium we love to help people get set up. yes, we got our stuff together, although i cannot speak for the other guilds....but i would imagine they cannot be as detailed to ensure you find a group of like minded people to play alongside...hardcore means to go hard, but the secret to a good hardcore group ....is to make sure everyone is having fun. there are many squadrons like the others said. just do your research and find the best one that suits you. a husband and wife who play together...stays together. i know a few squadrons ( think mini guilds, who function for the greater whole) that would suit you fine, but i think half the fun is finding the right one yourself. it makes the choice far better. you have plenty of time to decide your destiny in star citizen, so take your time. if  you have any questions, feel free to jump into teamspeak and ask. lots of squadron members chill in the voice chat, and love to burn your ears off with everything they know.

the start of any journey is the first step.

Thanks a lot everyone. Very much appreciate the warm welcome and helpful tips to getting set up. You guys really do seem to be a great bunch. I am looking forward to getting more involved and even eventually helping in what ways I can.

It still blows me away how big Imperium is! I was with another guild before Imperium and the squadron I am in (Eclipse) is several times bigger than the whole guild I was in before! I think the guild I was in before had around 15 members...Eclipse has exceeded 50 members which is just nuts.

Granted I like the small guild feel because it can be much more personal and family oriented but the fact still remains that the larger guilds can just get more done.

The resources available to the Imperium members is second to none.

Welcome aboard...you made the right choice with Imperium.

This whole idea of guild within a guild is very interesting to me. I really like the Heirarchy implementation, and how you (Imperium) has executed it. I am curious if SC will acknowledge the squadrons within the Org or if that is going to be out of game only?

There is so much to SC. I learn more and more about how intricate its design really is. Even after reading the "features to be included" posts on the forums I keep finding out more and more that keeps blowing my mind with how detailed and unique this game really is.

Just the past couple of days getting to know Imperium, has expanded my view on what the game will be.

it makes little difference if sc supports how we are doing things. each squadron in imperium is very colorful and unique. they each have a pride about themselves, and how well they serve imperium. i imagine with the nose arts, and possible color schemes on armor/clothing... it will be easy to notice who is who.
