Banu Merchantman

thanks @Drum, I didn’t have time to see the video and only saw the pictures on Spectrum so I didn’t know the folding wings were needed for hangar/pad landings. The BMM looks beautiful now but I do think you need more people to man it now. I will never sell mine but I doubt you can have fun in one with less than  4 people(unless her shields end up being able to withstand a lot of punishment and she is fast enough to run from trouble)

Says 8 workers, who double duty as vendors in the 8 shops when landed.

I will probably have a NPC crew for this thing. No player is going to want to be a vendor, just sayin...

I have no idea what they will be selling. A lot of something. - DRUM out

Wow, redoing several CCUs I had saved up, Merchantman to Hammerhead CCUs are $100 cheaper now, and I still have LTI because of the starting LTI token.

Just have one question, will Merchantman to 'N' (Hammerhead/Polaris/Perseus) CCUs be up for sale tomorrow or are they just available today because it's Alien day.  Just trying to figure out if I should buy it today or can I wait to save up for a possible Odyssey purchase later in the sale to use my Imperator coupon for max savings.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I think I am going to melt my saber (which has remained at $170 for a LONG time and doesn't seem to be appreciating in value) and combined with $40 of leftover credit buy back an LTI Warden to turn into a BMM.

I am probably going to just earn a single seat fighter in game with the potential money made from the BMM. I am leaning towards the gladius over the Saber anyway.

I can't believe the BMM is at $550. It's probably going to be worth a lot more when it is flyable. Seems like a good way to possibly get ~$750 of "investment" for 'only' $250.

Hey guys, its been a while.

Just saw the BMM and how its likely going to become an enormous ship with a likely enormous price tag.

I have a Warden LTI buyback for $250 credit. I also have a $0 CCU to turn the Warden in to the BMM for $0.

Is this something to consider?

If you don't own a BMM definitely consider adding one.   But I would go further and buy a small giftable LTI ship back with cash, and then ccu to the warden,,,you lose $10 in the process (Warden is 260 in the store).  And then sell the BMM for a profit.  Or use it to step up to something bigger.  In short do not waste them.

I was worried the Brig replaced the med bay, I am very pleased to see they fit both in.  I'm unsure where the brig got placed, but I'm semi confident the med bay is next to the landing pad.

In the landing gear animation you can see blast shielding animation covering the side docking collars, pretty slick!

The 2022 Alien Week is upon us and I just wanted to pass that the Banu Merchantman is getting a price bump to $600 at this time.  There is a Warbond upgrade available at the $550 price point with new money and a credit upgrade to $600.  That is all, now please move along.

I was able to get it back in the day at $250 but even at $600 it is a steal relative to its current size and function (compare to 890 Jump as an example).   Love the new peak in Inside Star Citizen!
