This was one of the first ship i ever bought. I absolutely love it. It looks so mean with the Dual Gatling cannons.

I’m happy with it just need to get a better power supply.

Be careful it currently has 2 shield holes that I know of, both above and below the cockpit from the front, explains why I was dying randomly from full health lol. Love the ship though!

The base power supply can’t handle the weapons if your taking damage. They start to slow down and you have to pump power into them. BUT they changed values of some power supplies so you can buy new ones. I forget which one I chose cause I’m not home I’ll get back to you.

Depends on your shields, google Erkul in google and get your loadout up on there and see what your power usage is. This is my current loadout and you can see I have 1 power to spare but if I change the mirage shield to an Fr-66  I would use the Overdrive gen instead due to power generation and startup time. P.S. make sure you have shields set to charging when checking power usage, shields switch to idle when at full and don't give a true power usage reading lol.

hey, just started playing again after a hiatus of a few years and was wondering what the current optimal loadout is for the super hornet? People seem to rip through my shields like they're paper and i can pepper them with bullets and lasers for ages and still not get through their shields. I'd love some advice from people who have played more.

It allows you to compare/contrast different loadouts. I'm not sure what the best min/max solution is, but I've been running Bulwark shields on my light fighter and really like them.

Thanks, I just made a build that almost doubles my dps, now I just need to grind 160k lol. Unfortunately I'm currently suffering from a bug that makes me unable to retrieve my ship...

Btw, @Sanforce is Imperium organizing trainings etc. for new players? Feel like I need to polish my flight skills a bit, haven't played space sims in years and would be fun to do it with other org members. Have been more of an fps guy the last years.

The hornet series are in dire need of an update as well.  There are a few bugs and issues with it still, but it can be a great ship when outfitted properly (which changes patch to patch).

If you can't reclaim your ship, either try from a different console within the PTU, or reset your PTU account at https://robertsspaceindustries.com/account/reset

Items that you've purchase and AUEC should persist through character resets.

 

We don't have any dedicated FPS events right now. REIGN-11-87 is a new T&I Specialist and has been hosting some mining events lately. I believe we will see additional events like this as time goes on for other aspects of the game, including FPS/space combat. I'm definitely looking forward to some flying practice, and seeing how small fleets will face off.

If you are interested, I could propose Friday night (around 21H UTC) : the mining event of T&I division hosted by Reign start at 00H UTC, so it give us 3 hours to make a little refresh and go practice on some bounties before joining the event
