If a carrier is only 1 Km then I would expect larger ships in the Battleship/Dreadnaught classes. I've posted somewhere else how I think they'll have to do this... (ie some sort of Captain's tactical display, where he can issue instructions to the helm, weapons and engineering, ect as required so that it only takes one person to actually fly the ship but if others are around you could potentially have them help out in weapons or helm or engineering as the case may be.)

The USS Enterprise is about a third of a kilometer, Length: 1,123 ft (342 m) It will be a lot of mass to move about, so I doubt it will be easy to move. Not something for me to fly, or drive you could almost say.

Yep... not sure how I messed that one. I completely missed the "ft" and "342".
