The 4 Turrets have 4x large Size weapons and the top has 4x again, underneath we could assume at least 1 more turret. I can feel the military role behind it. Slow speed and you have a gun boat. It's a nice design. I hope that is an empty space behind the "bridge". I've been thinking that this ship carries 2 large modules on either side between the two side turrets. Apparently someone managed to get an RSI address which resolved to: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships/hammerhead/AEGIS-Hammerhead So who knows, this could be the Aegis Hammerhead (Corvette?) that focuses heavily on guns which can serve as an actually effective anti-fighter screen and real escort ship unlike the Polaris which is more of a FAC zooming and booming with torpedoes but pretty ineffective when trying to use it as an escort or anti-fighter screen. The Idris and Javelin designs both date back to the Messer-era so maybe this could be the missing Messer-era corvette from the Aegis line of warships. The flat shape reminds me of a Javelin at least. Would also make sense to sell them from a lore-perspective as the UEEN would likely be phasing them out in favor of the new Polaris so these older 'Hammerhead' corvettes could be sold as military surplus to civilian militias. Guess we'll find out today with that 'classified' ship from Aegis and if it is some Messer-era Aegis Heavy Corvette called the Hammerhead or not. Also loving the style. Anyway from the current "pic" it could be the ship. Although that hammerhead url sounds like a fake as that was the name from SWs. Well we have a few hours and then we will know. Tom Villder Posted December 1, 2017 Share Posted December 1, 2017 So what did you guys buy so far? I got 2 CCUs for the Hawk and Freelancer MIS with store credits. The Hawk imo would be a unique addition for an escort ship as it has the ability to use its holding bay to quickly transfer a wounded person (me) in the worst case scenario. Also, I wanted to keep an expendable, medium-size military ship for major Imperium ops, that could double for transport, dropship etc so I got the MIS just in case. Ofc I can melt them anytime but I wanted to keep some backup CCUs. Can't wait for the Drake because I love its design philosophy, despite my peaceful goals in the game.
