Hello its Destra and i wanna bring up a Conversation everyone can be involved with i hope to see a lot of Fun talk in the Chat :) But i wanna talk about what Do you WANT in the Star citizen Universe. I wanna see Horror.. and dynamic Fights for survival against Deadly Alien Creatures like the alien Movies, But hey that's just meee. what would you guys like to see them implement into the game that would blow you away. something like Tank battles over a moon? or a Massacre over a station? Planetary sieges?    No matter how old you are everyone has their niche what they Love. some people might wanna just lay back in there chair listen to the star citizen radio while trading, getting the latest news on the universe. 

you know this game is gonna be the best, better than anyone expected. it will be a long wait, but my optimism is high for this game, and i have faith in it. won't be just another Triple A game Riddled with DLC's.. pay 60$ for half a game then another 60$ In the DLc's to finish it for something they already made. but held back on so you have to pay for it. Cause to be honest i'm sick of that Bull****.   

But i wanted to make this thread to truly see everyone's wants and dreams into this game. Tell me, give Pictures, Be Detailed :) have fun and talk about your expectations. why did you pledge? are you sick of the gaming industry ripping you off?  what you think this game can take off of other games or movies, what scenarios you wanna see happen? Just like me?, and want horror, let me know, tell me what ya wanna see when you're in a dark abandoned station that's hiding in the shadows.  haha look forwards to reading them

Personally, I'd just like to see deep gameplay mechanics. We've been told that things are going to be player skill based, instead of off of "stats". Missions and tasks won't be "click to complete". Ship roles will be deeply engaging and complicated.

If this can be brought off, then I'll be satisfied. If it can be brought off, this game will be so multi-faceted and fully dimensioned that it will be unprecedented.

I want to be filled with a million different emotions. Everything from the carebear society, to the lowest drug ridden sex slavery red light districts, psychopathic murderers, body mutilation, disease ridden derelicts, funny NPC's, rewarding exploration, feeling of accomplishment when completing missions, getting attached to NPC's and players alike. I want the SC universe to feel real, and have real risk attached to it.

i agree shard, i hope they make it so Better dogfight pilots will be able to flaunt their skill, and even allow it to help out there reputation as an escort and so on,  but it's wrong just because it has better states it's a set winner. the entire game should be based on real skills :) 

Donut- Right the more realistic and different the better, as long as it isn't copy and paste the whole universe i'll be happy

I think I've before expressed my desire, for having immersive, detailed and potentially scary and dangerous scenarios play out on derelicts while my crew and I try to salvage what's left. The Alien movies really set a certain look and feel that's captivating and terrifying... you sort of want to experience it but also you really really dont;)

For me, space is about isolation. You're essentially floating in a void and I hope it will feel as if you're cut off from the rest of the 'verse. Only you, your crew, your ship... and whatever it is that's hiding in the dark.

Then there's the explorer in me who wants to see the fantastic. Really alien worlds, unlike anything we have on earth. Amazing flora and fauna. I want to explore strange structures and space ships and alien civilizations and learn more about them. I want to see strange space anomalies and threats. Nebulea, black holes, wormholes... just strange shit, y'know?

I want to go out there, and then come home and tell stories around the fireplace (or more likely just in some dive bar at a spaceport while drinking some odd glowing space-beer;).

I want interresting gameplay that allows for unique experiences for everyone, that your story is different then anyone else's. That it's not all cookie cutter "kill 20 space-boars" but missions and excursions that are more meaningfull... trips you have to plan and prepare for. Do I have enough fuel? Ammo? Food and water potentially? What's the best route.. Do I take route A that's safer or route B that's faster? Do I need to refuel along the way? How about support? do I need an escort? Is there an Imperium base or outpost along the way where I can resupply, or do they need anything I can deliver?

I want to see Imperium fleet(s) come together and combine their efforts to do amazing things like securing a system or potentially maybe find, restore and man a big capital ship? I want to see epic space battles, being chased by pirates only to be saved in the nick of time by a squadron of imperium fighters. Id even want to crash on a planet and survive untill someone picks up the distress call and comes save my sorry ass:)

I want to see a universe unfold before me with a story that's driven partially by a community that I love.

hey... I can dream, can't I? ;)

I pledged because star citizen has the potential to at least make some of these things come true. I backed because there has never been anything quite like it and I feel if anyone can do it, it's these guys.

FizzleFuze- i'm not sure i could worded it better if i tried :)  i have a lot of the same desires into the game, you have so many good points and scenarios. But i have many hopes similar to yours, cause i'm hoping it will allow everyone to have there own story and truly get everyone Captivated. and let everyone be who they wanna be. and bring real situations to the game where every moment can be a dangerous one and ect. thanks for sharing what you want into the Game. i really hope the game ends up being everything we hope for...  even if it's isn't your right, we still can dream.

Donut- cant wait to see what the other communities will be like and how they will interact with us, on both lights of good and bad, i'm sure it will be very exciting. especially because of the volume of the game, there's a lot to play with.

Foxchard- ya me to. i'm really hoping that it's going to be filling, with plenty to do. but i heavily agree with you about the ship's combat should not be stated. Experience should trump all. and be a major factor. how you use your ship is how you'll be determined if your dead or alive. and should benefit you greatly.

I was tired of vehicle based games that as soon as you entered the vehicle it felt like your avatar just transformed into a vehicle.  I want vehicles where you actually feel like your inside them.  I want large explorable interiors in moving vehicles, where you can watch fierce battles erupt all around you outside.  Star citizen promised this special gift I have not seen since Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed.

I knew the most pleasing game-play will be a crewman on some of the largest ships so I took a long time checking out some of the largest Roleplay and Hardcore orgs.  I was seeking somewhere I could enjoy being a lowly worker bee and at the same time be noticed for good hard work.  I ended up here because it felt like the best fit and organised orgs tend to get more done.

Open development is the reason I never went away in the years that followed.    Patch day was like Christmas in games like Asherons Call, the ability to see so much active development is a refreshing change this day and age after being scarred by so many games that are forgotten by their developers after release.

Eyecandy, graphic fidelity and all that jazz, ok. But solid gameplay is what it should be all about, and I'm not sure it will get the love it deserves.

I don't think you should be worried quite yet. They're still in the early stages of putting in actual gameplay features-had to get a lot of the core engine stuff done first.

I think there will be more gameplay than you guys will think.. remeber 3.0 isn't the full game... 3.0 might be a little less than what you hope for.. or maybe a lot more than you hoped for. but it doesn't matter. when 3.0 drops there will be many updates, active developments, more of the community alive, a lot to do and explore. and they will be releasing patches at a high pace. they will listen to the community. and they will make us a great game. people sent thousands in this game. they will deliver  on content, as i said i want horror in the game really bad... will 3.0 have that alien isolation feel. NO. but will they eventually, probably. They are working on The Deep core of the game. the Game engine. the New guns, the coding problems, new ships, new flight models, making planets, and much much more.

they increased their crew size to 400+ and they are able to do alot at once. and get it done. after all that they can split their team up and do more for Gameplay. they will Add Tanks. Heavy APC's, Drop ships, alien ships, turrets,persistence construction. There will be clan wars. battles over sectors. and all kinds of craziness. we just have to wait for it. there striving for quality.. which is best for gameplay.  Cause when you're in a tank. in a vehicle, or inside a turrent. anything you're in it. you're not the vehicle. if you're the pilot  you're in the cockpit, no matter what you will be in the prospective that you should be in. a crew member. hell when in a capital ship for imperium you can be a crew hand. be an engineer. a gunner. co-pilot anything you want. this game will let you do it all. Be patient everyone. we are going to the next stage of the games development. Don't lose faith now..

      Wouldn't it Be Amazing, if Star Citizen Was able to Bring Extremely Scary Creatures in the Star Citizen Universe? Something that gets you excited at the thought of Your Ship Telling you you have an Unknown Life Form In the Cargo Bay. Or Just Imagine Landing on a Planet, That Had a station on it. And that Station was Infested with a Hive Mind.. and you're locked into a Room Wielding Doors Shut, Moving Stuff to make Barricades. Sending Distress Signals.  Looking for any way they can Get in until Help Arrives. Isolate specimens to Study Them. Hearing them Scream and Hiss.  Wouldnt that be Exciting? Smart AI Creatures And Real Horror that isn't Scripted. Creatures From Iconic Movies LIke AVP. Or Off other Games Like Dead Space. and ect.  Comment on the Topic What Creatures You'd Like in The Verse?  My Obvious Pick Would Be the Aliens and Predators. I'm a Massive Fan of the Trilogies, and Excites me enough to get my Nerd Out   The Thought of A Great AI and Horror In a Game as Gorgeous and Ground Breaking as Star Citizen Would Truly just Be Epic.

      I was just wondering, i suppose mostly to the more senior players or people who closely follow the development of SC; What kind of military exploration would we do? If any. I ask because i'm pretty torn between the Hornet Tracker and the Freelancer DUR and I am just not sure which to pick. But I do want to be in the military so I would like to know which is more useful for our purposes.
