MISC Endeavor

Eh @Chimaera : read my comment again : I said they spawn and then get into their spawned ships in the hangar and then attack the endeavour. 2 heavily armed ships should be able to take out an endeavour esp. if they are able to place themselves in the blind spot of it's 2 turrets. Unless you want to assign a permanent escort of fighters to a public spawnpoint endeavour (which would probably eat up your profits) but I guess most people would not do this.

I hope there is a mechanic that will allow organization members/friends to spawn onto an organization owned hope class (so a kind of private ID beacon) without having to open up the spawn point to everyone in the sector.

I can't speak for @Chimaera, but if someone just tried to blow me up and then, in their infinite wisdom, actually spawns on my ship, they're getting escorted to the nearest airlock, if not shot dead immediately upon resurrection.

Also, I'm assuming you can lock doors, so, it would be kind of hard for a nude pirate to do much of anything except beg for mercy.

A cool feature would be if anyone who has attacked you or yours in the last, say 24 hours, can't use your stuff.

From what I understand there needs to be some kind of transaction first before someone can spawn on your ship, in other words: you can ask credits for people to be able to use your ship as a spawn point. I am guessing during that transaction you also will be able to check the organisation that person is a member of and if he has a bounty on his head... Would make sense to me at least. Also, I don't think it would very wise to use your endeavour as a public spawn-point in lawless space. If I would be in lawless space with my endeavour to assist my org I would only accept spawns from other org-members... In areas where there is high security it wouldn't really be a problem I think. If two pirates would start attacking the ship, UEE forces would be there to help you in minutes, and you could also ask bounty-hunters in the area to help you, who might be interested in cashing in the bounty on the heads of those pirates... And ofcourse you could ask help of ships of your org or orgs that are allied with your org to help you... Last but not least, you could also remove the hangar and add the defense module to be sure, although it wouldn't be possible for players that spawn on your ship to order a ship anymore if you do that, so you miss out on the revenue that could create.. And it also would add an inconvenience for the players that spawn on your ship, because they would need to ask someone of their org to come and pick them up from your ship...

@Booster Terrik if you read the section about how they will have players able to get to other ships, they didn't say it would be possible to summon other ships of your own, but that the Endeavor owners would have a premium delivery service possible to have smaller ships sent to the area. I'm guessing something like a Mustang or Aurora at the maximum, and I doubt Endeavor owners would be comfortable summoning anything too big either.

Guards and escorts would always need to he around these spots anyway, so again I doubt it would be a huge issue.

Sorry to interrupt... but I would hope that CIG makes it like a.... how to put it... fleet members/Org members only spawn point ;)

Wish I was baller. Wish I was little.... you get the drift. I like the Endeavor and the multi career game play it adds to SC. Hope module and the crew module that's still on the drawing board would be nice for a marine unit. Load the landing pad up with a Tali and drop ship module:).

  • Max Crew:16 persons

^^^^ How to utilize NPCs along with multiple players will be the key to profit in Star Citizen (but keeping the Theory Crafting to an Imperium only thread) --->> See link below....;)

I love this ship but I have 1 observation : If you use the hope class as a public spawn point (so with ID beacon on) then wouldn't it be super easy for a team of pirates to spawn onto your ship, grab their 2 newly spawned Cutlasses start em up fly out and disable your Endeavour and then board it? You would not even have to find victims you can just spawn onto them [emoji38] I think someone over at CIG forgot to think about some of the implications of a public spawn point

Booster, remember that goes both ways....what if you're a mad scientist who takes every 10th respawn and do experiments on them in the back science labs? Or when someone rich comes through you sell them to pirates for ransom?

At any rate I'm sure that even if you have your endeavor ID open you can refuse service to respawns of people with low reputations to further safeguard your operation. Additionally, remember players who have bounties on their heads, that are killed or captured, will no longer have the bounty once respawned. This was covered by CR in a past TFC. .[emoji12]

how do we make money when everyone of us own one?

Supply and demand, there wont necessarily be a never ending demand for each role. However, I do expect that NPC's will use the services just as much if not more than us players.

Also, liking the extra fuel capacity. Does this mean it can join a Carrack on a deep space exploration mission?

Hrmm, Might have to melt a couple of my Orions to get the Endeavor Master Set...

...Or I might just have buy it with CA$H! (like someone said in an earlier post).

(Ugh just seen it's going to cost me just as much as my Idris did when I bought it [Curse you terrible Exchange rates])

Don't forget about the potentially upcoming Defense Module!

"Other modules are under consideration for potential future development, including a Defense Module that would provide an Endeavor with a diverse array of defensively-oriented weaponry that would greatly improve its chances of escaping a dangerous confrontation with minimal damage."

Hangar Module + Defense Module = micro Bengal

:P
