I wasn't expecting it so soon!

 

"$400 – $450 is expected MSRP", I have a feeling that is mighty conservative figure for a brand new flagship card.

Of course only rumors at this point, but these cards are said to be only a little more powerful than a GTX 780(ti) if at all. Well might be true more or less as their chips are still 28nm

I have the GTX 770 and no hurry to upgrade but sounds good. Maybe sell mine and get the new one!!! Oh! my poor wallet.

Yeah, you're probably good for a while. I generally upgrade by step and by every second generation. Example: GTX 460 -> GTX 670 -> GTX 880

Logical increments! I do the same sort of pattern with all my hardware.

I have my 660 for now, I'll grab an 860 when they are out and drop to around $250, also knows a ways off.

Unless you really need a new graphics card I would wait until early Q1 2015 we might be seeing the 16 nm' there still its "rumors "

 

the new cards "880"'is said to be around the "780~780ti" + - 10%

but at a more comfy price and it will lower the prices of the "last gen"

I'm getting an 880 as soon as reviews verify that its as good as it should be for what they're charging for it. In other words, it has to be an improvement on the 780 Ti or be the same for a lower price. I have a GTX 680 (4GB) and have no interest in ever doing SLI, so a fast single card is important to me. I'll probably do this upgrade and then do another one to whatever is best when Star Citizen goes PU beta or PU live.

@Alex it may be more beneficial for you to wait and see how the 880's performance stacks up. Then you can make a rational decision to help with cost. No need to be in a hurry!

Though I honestly suspect the newer cards will be incredibly expensive...

Will be buying my next pc sooner than I thought! Will wait and see if the 880 is worth the spend or just get a 2nd 770 to do me over until better cards become available.
