  1. CIG Vehicle Director John Crewe has posted this poll on Twitter today: https://twitter.com/_johncrewe/status/1496483181817733138 If us Cutlass Black owners are ever going to get our toilet back, now's the time to vote. 🚽
  2. ATV is out this week with a Ship Shape on the Eclipse. Both the Eclipse and Hercules A2 are both bombers that I really like to have but didn't end up getting (maybe because there are too many Bombers now?) Pick your Favorite Bomber in the Poll then list them in order - including the reason why you favor the ship or dis-favor it.... + whether or not you (OWN) the ship My list is below: Harbinger - (OWN) - It is my top pick due to its size and long range (Vanguards are designed to be long range + the Harbinger has better armor than the standard Vanguard). I also think (with the Rail Gun and Rocket Launcher) it can sustain a fight longer than most bombers and have the armor and the Vanguard Hull (known to be tough) and be able to limp away even when severely damaged (note Vanguards will also likely get buffed compared to how they perform now in AC). Javelin - (OWN) - It would be my top pick with it being the ultimate ship a player can own but it is going to take a large investment and crew to make it worthwhile on a mission Polaris - (OWN) - I am very happy (as many know) that they didn't make this an STS turret ship and instead made the Corvette a Bomber to counter the Vaduul Void Bomber - which is also their Corvette..... (since a Corvette will get trashed up against a larger capital ship in a slug-fest) - making it a boom and zoom tactical ship. I am also happy they made the Hammerhead as an ASA turret ship focused on taking out fighters and bombers (instead of capital ships - since it too would get trashed in a slug-fest with a larger capital ship). Retalitator - (OWN) - I love the size of the ship and love the long range and modular options.... but hate the corridor design Hercules A2 - I am still considering this ship and it will likely be a priority goal of mine in the PU - since it will be the Penultimate Bomber Planet side (with the MOABs likely to flatten mountains with a much higher payload than the other torpedo bombers). The Cluster Bomb option will also work great vs less hardened but more spread out installations / outposts. + Carrying at least one Tank will give it even more options. Gladiator - It is still my favorite carrier based short ranged bomber (I used to own one - melted it since I have too many bombers) but while it won't pack as big of a punch as an Eclipse it will still be more useful in more situations than an Eclipse ..... and even with dogfight options vs a fighter where an Eclipse will be more vulnerable. Eclipse - I came very close to pulling the trigger on the Eclipse.... but I see it more as an NPC (or Wingman) ship (with Death of a Spaceman).... one that you escort to its target then it flies back to re-load (as a confirmed carrier bomber - per ATV). I do love the stealth aspect and the look of the ship.... just skeptical about how fun it will be and if it will be too easy to pick off once spotted. I am also a little concerned with how much skill (or forced auto-pilot) you'll need to have it land on an Idris (on ATV they mentioned it will need to have its wings fold up to do so) - making it much easier (thus faster and safer) to land a Gladiator on an Idris.
  3. I have been keeping track of the development for the last 5 years and I'm surprised by the optimistic expectations of many backers. Really curious what the community thinks about this.
  4. It is always fun to see what the community expects from upcoming concept sales...... and now we have an Easter Egg.... for the Origin 600 as the next Concept Ship with the Banu Defender. What Price Do you expect CIG will set for the Concept Sale for the Origin 600? What size do you think it will be? Do you think the Origin 300 series (rework) will be combined with the 600 series concept sale like the pairing of the Banu Defender and Merchantman? CIG Lore Note - This thread is only for pre-concept speculation - please use this thread (see link) after concept ---->>> Origin 600 Thread From the back of the Defender brochure.
  5. This [POLL] to help CIG balance Ship Replacement / Purchase Time in the Persistent Universe ... will let CIG understand Player's expectations... and as far I we know CIG hasn't set any standards for this yet. There are many factors that will influence balance: Show Room Purchase / Replacement: There should be at least one location in the PU where you can travel to and purchase or replace your ship from a dealer's show-room (More common ships maybe available in multiple dealers in multiple systems). Buying a ready-made ship should have a premium price. Ordering a Ship: There should be discount to having to wait for a ship to be made (for new purchase) or replaced (via insurance) compared to picking up a ready-made ship. Ship Delivered to your Hangar: There should be premium for a manufacturer to deliver your ship to your hangar (even LTI should have to pay something for this option). The delivery of a ship should also increase its lead time. Expedited Service: Like in the real world - people should have the option to pay a premium fee for faster construction / delivery. General Lead Time: Larger / More Expensive Ships should generally take longer to make / replace. Ship Rarity: There should be an extended lead time for rare or limited edition ships. Economic Factors: Factories making the ships / ship parts can be affected by supply / demand / resource disruption / etc... Self Repair: There will be options to repair / customize / over-clock / etc... your ships in your hangar or with repair ships like the Anvil Crucible, etc... ++++ WHY should you have to wait for your ship to be replaced? It is Realistic: Cars, Airplanes, etc... are not made instantaneously. It Balances game-play: People should realize that Star Citizen isn't just about flying your own ship -> You can get a loaner ship, act as crew on another ship, do FPS planet-side missions, etc... It encourages a Diversity of Ships: Players should be encouraged to have more than one ship and those that don't should have fun fixing up or tinkering with their ship in the Hangar It creates a Time-Sink: Time-Sinks (like Money Sinks) are needed to help create a sense of worth and immersion. If ships are replaced too fast and easy it becomes to much like an Arcade game. Death of a Spaceman: There will be time-loss already for getting your character healed / repaired / or a new heir - so waiting for your ship as well is just another extension of this. What do I do now?: As mentioned above in game Balance - there is plenty to do in Star Citizen other than flying your own ship (and this should be encouraged to help build up ship crews and or those garage tinkerers). ======= Vote and Post your comments and ideas below on this thread - Thanks EDIT: Poll is in Real Time - not Game Time. NOTE - Also see and vote on sister thread on RSI Forums for greater sampling
  6. Exciting few days for SC - we just passed $125m and we have an ongoing livestream for CitizenCon (see separate threads).... However.... I think the most anticipated ship (with the possible exception of the Carrack....... or Idris in the early days)....... will be on sale this Sunday = The Polaris for $750. (also has a separate dedicated thread). But - lets have some fun - How much $ do you think the Polaris this week (obviously other sales will being going on but the Polaris will drive the bulk of it). Keep in mind that the Origin 890 Jump was $650 and was limited to 5,000 ships. That = to about $3.5m ..... There will be no limit to Polaris sales (and there are more backers now). == VOTE for how much you think CIG will make by the end of the Polaris thread Also if you want - Post what you are CCUing / Melting to get the Polaris (this obviously will reduces some of the $ CIG will make)....... or if you are going to buy it outright. ---------- I am melting couple ships that I may pick up again during the Anniversary sale - but I am CCU my Starliner.

  12. I'm a peculiarly avid book reader. Acquired a Kindle when I was in Junior High, read my way to my current position much to the frowns and odd looks of my peers. So, eventually, I started pondering the meaning of life and all, and one question; what makes a book good to you? What makes you want to read it? Is it the characters, the plot maybe? Is it genre-specific, or do you enjoy just the excellent write of the author? Is it a combination, or something else?
  13. Well, now this is interesting. An in-lore poll of Citizens asking about a variety of topics. Please vote Here If you're unsure about the political parties, check below.
  14. More about the MISC Endeavor was just revealed by Ben today in Batgirl's interview (see 19:30m into vid): ^^^ So this Video reveal now changes Chris Robert's Official Description when it was revealed (see quote below) MISC Endeavor-class Research Platform: The MISC Endeavor is the company’s most prestigious ship: a dedicated research platform capable of carrying a dozen different space science packages, running the gamut from advanced long-range scanners for jump point identification to additional shielding for near-stellar corona research. Externally, the Endeavor is dotted with sensor hardpoints; internally, the main compartment is centered on a large research laboratory which can be configured for use by a wide range of scientific disciplines. The Endeavor’s main compartment is modular, allowing an alternate configuration as a Hope-class floating hospital. This variant is employed by the UEE and other organizations as battlefield support, capable of getting marines and pilots back to the battle as quickly as possible! When outfitted as a hospital, the Endeavor’s docking bay is capable of maintaining a single Cutlass Red ambulance. The Endeavor has also found its way into the service of less reputable organizations, where it can has been modified for everything from narcotics production to black market surgery. ============ Based on the fact that we do know that the MISC Endeavor will only now be a Science Ship (with the Hospital Ship being a completely different ship) and the fact that the concept art for the MISC Endeavor will be will be inspired by the Discovery in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey (also revealed by Ben in a RTV) = Please vote for what you expect the price will be for its upcoming concept sale. Also cast your vote on the Sister Thread in the RSI Forums (for greater sampling) plus also post your ideas for the upcoming sale (should be Soon TM but no definitive date) +++++++ See 1.40m into this video below.....
  15. Per Ben - They will be adding a new flyable ship REVEAL this Friday - Guess What Ship it would be? It is a given it has to be one that is already Hangar Ready.... so vote for your pick Comm-Link Schedule for the week of June 8th CIG Ben Lesnickwcloaf Posted: 12:45PM Howdy Citizens! Here's the content schedule for this week. I'm sorry for the tease on Friday; we'd like to show off the next flyable ship in Arena Commander (which will patch in at the same time as Arena Commander) and that's where that'll go if we have footage ready. Monday, June 8th - 10 for the Designers Tuesday, June 9th - Meet the Devs: The Shermanator Wednesday, June 10th - Vault Update - CitizenCon Details & Ticket Sale (1 PM Pacific) Thursday, June 11th - Around the Verse: Episode 48 Friday, June 12th - Reverse the Verse - [REDACTED] Saturday, June 13th - Reverse the Verse Archive Post Sunday, June 14th - Weekly Roundup
  16. im just curious to see how much people on this forum have spent individually i have spent $375.00 so far. As of 2015 it's up to $1555 lol CIG sells Internet candy what can I say
  17. CIG mentioned that both the Orion and Hull C were paralleling each other in terms of Concept Art. It looks like the Orion came first which means the Hull C will come soon. VOTE - in the POLL to give a price for the Hull C for its Concept Sale. We obviously don't know all the details of the Hull C (other than what is currently on the Spec page and that Ben mentioned the Hull C and 890 Jump are more automated than most ships = from a RTV). We do know that MISC uses some Xi'An tech with their manufacturing partnership. We can also use the Banu MM as a comparison ship priced at $250 with 6,000 FU of Cargo Capacity.... with the Hull C having a Cargo Capacity of 9,000 FU and about double the size of the Banu MM (which could mean that the Concept Sale may indicate that the Hull C will carry more than 9,000 FU). We do know that the 890 Jump is the most expensive Wave 3 Concept Ship at $600 (per Ben - RTV). ============================== Aside from the Hull C we do know that there will be the Hulls A, B and D ships as well. CIG has mentioned that the Hull D's are used by large corporations (NPC only) and are "really big." However the Hulls A and B should be available to the general civilian market (players). I am hoping we see the Hull A and Hull B concept sales at the same time as the Hull C concept sale. Since CIG is backlogged with the Wave 4 Concept Ships, the PU, S42, FPS and continued AC development I think it makes sense for them to Design all the HULL series of ships (A-D) as the same ship - just smaller versions or sections. Think of the ships as a Train with Train Cars (or different attachable ship sections). This is just a suggestion and speculation but also Vote on the Hull A and Hull B concept price with this design assumption (and compare them to the Taurus and Caterpillar in terms of price and Cargo Capacity). Hull A = One "HULL" Ship Section 75m in length with a Cargo Capacity of 3,000 FU (1/3 of a Hull C) Hull B = Two "HULL" Ship Sections 150m in length with a Cargo Capacity of 6,000 FU (2/3 of a Hull C) Hull C = Three "HULL" Ship Sections 225m in length with a Cargo Capacity of 9,000 FU Hull D = Four + "HULL" Ship Section 300m+ in length with a Cargo Capacity of 12,000 FU (Maybe more sections beyond this or Hull E+) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Add any thoughts / comments / ideas on this thread to help CIG (players are part of the development process) for the HULL series of ships - Thanks Also see Sister Thread on the RSI Forums and vote there as well for greater sampling - Thanks
  18. We know CIG has an impacted schedule for ships, FPS, Social Module, Arena Commander new modes, S42, the PU, etc.... Most players are going to be happy with 120+ Star Systems (110+ known and additional unknown systems) that will be developed (quality over quantity) and we know that each system will have a number of planets and landing zones to explore. We also know that CIG is working on Procedural Generation to create more landing zones including exploring abandoned ancient cities with the Rovers (Ursa and Lynx). Procedural Generation (and the Room System) will also help compliment the hand crafted elements of the various landing zones. Since the majority of players voted in a CIG poll that they would like to Explore in Star Citizen let's give CIG some ideas for Exploration. Turbulent is waiting on the Austin PU team to finalize the Star Map and Tony Z. is currently working on the Pioneer Profession per ATV at 7:10m into the Vid: Please Please post your ideas on this thread and Vote on these ideas listed (explained) below in the Poll (to better help CIG evaluate player expectations and new ideas): ++ SEE images of our Solar System for Poll questions and note this doesn't mean that every planet, object needs to be fully crafted and detailed (or even an option to land on every planet / object) = Many of these would be a year + after PU launch and would give players additional objects to explore / mine / etc... How many Star Systems beyond the initial 120+ at launch should CIG produce per Year? In addition to expanding the number of sites to explore within a system... how many Star Systems should CIG produce each year after launch? Should CIG increase the amount of Planets Per System? Astronomers continue to find more planets per star system than what was originally thought. Should CIG expand the number of planets per Star System (beyond what has been revealed in the various systems in Jump Point Magazine)? Should CIG create Moons for some of the planets? CIG has mentioned they will have important moons (like Earth's Moon) but we have discovered that many planets now have a number of moons. Should CIG create Dwarf Planets to explore? In addition to expanding the number of regular planets per system should CIG add Dwarf Planets to a Solar System (like Pluto, Charon, Ceres, etc..) ? Should CIG create Comets and TNOs (Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud)? In addition to asteroid belts per system should CIG add TNOs or Trans-Neptune Objects - that would include distant objects in the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud, Comets, etc... +++++++ See Sister Thread on the RSI Forums - for greater sampling.
  19. Aegis Vanguard-class Twin-Engine Deep Space Fighter As mentioned by Ben Lesnick (CIG) the Vanguard (formally known as the Bulldog) will be ready as the Concept Sale soon (could be this month maybe even in a couple of weeks). This will be ahead of the Hull A + Hull B + Hull C Concept Sale(s) = (See sister thread and vote there as well: ) VOTE - in the POLL to give a price for the Vanguard for its Concept Sale. This will help CIG better understand player expectations (and the player base is part of the development team for the game - and CIG values our input). The POLL price range is from Starter Ship prices at the low-end range (of which it is highly unlikely the Vanguard will be priced at these low prices) all the way up to the Space Superiority Fighter - The Phoenix (of which it is unlikely the Vanguard will be bigger, have as much firepower, high end components, etc...). I personally think the Vanguard should not even be priced near an Andromeda ($225) or a Retaliator ($275)...... but more closely to the top Dog Fighter (per Lore) in the game the Hornet (or SH). ========== Please Vote and post the reason why you price it at the price point you voted on - Thanks ++++++++++ Also see Sister Thread in the RSI Forums (and cast your VOTE there as well) for greater sampling - Thanks
  20. It was hinted at that there maybe more than one Concept ship Sale on November 28th (likely the Carrack and maybe the Javelin). Please VOTE for what you think CIG should price each Concept Sale at (Civilian Javelin on this thread)... and Carrack on this link below: [POLL] How much should the Anvil Carrack cost compared to the RSI Aquila? Also vote on Sister thread on the RSI Forums for greater sampling: [POLL] Civilian Javelin Destroyer - What should be the Concept Sale Price ? ++++ VOTE also what do you think the MAX Crew should be and if the Javelin should be able to securely dock (or be parked) at a Player Hangar + should the Javelin be flyable solo with player hired NPCs as crew. As reference the Idris-M ($1,000) and Idris-P ($1,250) with a Max Crew of 10 and confirmed that it can be securely dock (or be parked) at a Player Hangar + the Idris is flyable solo with player hired NPCs as crew. ================ The "Civilian" (player owned) Javelin Destroyer was revealed by Sandi in Around the Verse Episode 21 at 4:20m and twice by Ben in: See Notes in Link above + NOTE that the recorded version of this episode was truncated so the last mention of the Javelin was cut off (it occurred during the last part of the episode per the notes). Below are some Images of the Javelin
  21. Another fun poll.......
  22. Hey guys Haven't seen a post about it yet. Four new choices to vote for, for a 3rd Starter ship: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/14295-Letter-From-The-Chairman Aegis Terrapin (Tough little nut) -Good for beginner solo mining (if outfitted for such) Anvil Hurricane (Multigun small bore ship- pew pew pew) - Nice for people wanting to go combat focused Drake Dragonfly (Tiny Snub sized ship that is VERY customizable) - This is just so interesting. You don't climb in it as much as you put it on. Quick. Fragile Misc Reliant (Outfitted with alot of Xi'an Tech) - 2 Seater, tech heavy ship. Good for recon and long range. Personally I'm stuck between the Aegis Terrapin (I love tanks) and MISC Reliant. Possibly more leaning towards the Terrapin, but I just can't make up my mind. I'd love to see all four. And Mr Roberts has hinted at the possibly of more coming out later in development. What are your thoughts?
  23. Yes I know this isn't the right forum and I should be using the RSI forum for this, but I wanted to run the idea by a smaller pool of people to kinda gauge the reaction and see if I'm just wasting my time on something no one wants. Basically the Idea is to implement something similar to the Shadow of Mordor Nemesis System for Star Citizen NPCs. This system would be applied to high ranking NPCs (UEE Politicians and Vanduul leaders). Players will be able to earn a few of the characteristics but it will require effort and training to acquire these traits. The primary purpose of these traits is to prevent combat encounters from becoming tedious and/or repetitive as well as giving the espionage/assassination sections of the Star Citizen playerbase a more fleshed out playground to commit stabby stabby murder in. Each trait will build off of another creating NPCs that are as varied as the actual human playerbase. Some might be highly aggressive, others might be calmer and calculating, each one presenting a unique challenge to overcome. In addition, as NPCs "age" they become more powerful (either by killing players or by the simple passage of time) leading to an organic power structure. I'll be using two examples to demonstrate, a UEE family and a Vanduul Clan. Each high ranking NPC will be defined by 3 related sets of characteristics, each based off of the previous one. Family Characteristics Are sets of traits that have an increased chance of occurring within family lines. This chance increases randomly with each generation. For example: Richard Doeson -》Steve Doeson -》Jane Doeson -》John Doeson FC: Loyalty 50% Loyalty 60% Loyalty 74% Loyalty 78% Families are also able to acquire additional traits over time. Industrialist 57% Industrialist 63% Once a family has acquired a Family Characteristic members of that family will have a higher chance of receiving the Family Characteristic as a Personal Characteristics. In the example family above Jane’s descendants would have a 74% chance to receive a Loyalty Personal Characteristic. This descendant would then increase the Family Characteristic chance by 5-25% if they receive the Loyalty trait, or decrease the Family Characteristic chance by 10-35% if they do not. This means that families are also able to lose traits if descendants don’t inherit them for a while. Additionally certain Family Characteristics will unlock unique combat behaviours for NPCs based off of their Combat Characteristics. Example: Family Line: Doeson Current members: Jane, John Deceased members: Steve, Richard Family Traits: Loyalty (78%), Industrialist (63%) Family Line: Uk'Tharo Current members: Rauk'Tharo, Nuuk'Tharo, Eruk'Tharo Deceased members: Hluk'Tharo, Naruk'Tharo-Gar Family Traits: Loyalty (78%), Xenophobia (97%), Individualistic (83%) Personal Characteristics Characteristics held by individuals. These characteristics are influenced by lineage and can have an effect on Family Characteristics. Certain Personal Characteristics will also increase chances for certain Political Characteristics. Loyalist: Decreased chance of successful bribery/extortion, small personality change. Opportunist: Increased chance of successful bribery/extortion, large personality change. Centralist: Push for decreased colonization, focus on established worlds. Xenophobic: Fear of other races, (Higher among Vanduul / Xi’an) Xenophilic: Acceptance of other races, (High among Banu) Individualistic: Tendency to favor choices that will benefit the individual. (Because of a formatting screw up this should be under the Individualistic tab) +17% chance for Pro-Earth/Terra (depending on homeworld) +11% chance for Pro-Unionist/Separatist (depending on homeworld) +5-16% chance for Militant (depending on family ties) -18%/+14% chance for Colonist (depending on homeworld) (Higher among UEE/Vanduul) Political Characteristics Colonist: Push for increased colonization/protection of established colonies. (higher rate in Terrans) Expansionist: Favors increased interaction with other races. (Leads to xenophilic/colonist) Industrialist: Favors increased production. Isolationist: Favors decreased interaction with other races. (Leads to centralist) Militant: Favors increases in military. Pro-Earth (UEE): Favors policies that benefit Earth (higher rate in Earth born) Pro-Terra (UEE): Favors policies that benefit Terra (higher rate in Terrans) Pro-Separatist (UEE): Pro-Terra req., Push towards separating from UEE Pro-Unionist (UEE): Push towards forming stronger relations with colonies. Combat characteristics (Some titles can be earned by players if they achieve 10x the requirements needed) Vanduul (PU titles will be in Vanduulese) Wrathful: Will immediately start attacking attackers, will specifically target players who defeated him. Bladeskill: +2% damage from melee Blademaster: +5% damage from melee Only fights with melee weapons/ship ramming. (Achieved after 15 kills with Bladeskill) Warhardend: +12% attack bonus, gained after killing 20 players. Warlord: +25% attack bonus, gained after killing 200 players. (Very Rare) Groundsmasher: Will avoid space combat, +5% attack bonus on all ground based weapons. Vengeful (FC): Will track players who killed family members.+20% damage against tracked targets. Courageous: +2% Damage resistance/attack bonus. Will only flee after +75% of ship is destroyed. Bloodthirsty: +7% Damage resistance/attack bonus. Will not flee. % bonus increases by 1-3% for Warchiefs, 3-5% for Warmasters. UEE Heroic: +2% Damage resistance. Will fly in front of allies to shield them from damage. Veteran: +15% attack bonus, gained after killing 30 Vanduul. Brave: +2% Damage resistance/attack bonus. Will only flee after +75% of ship is destroyed. Fearless: +7% Damage resistance/attack bonus. Will not flee. All (Aplicable to all races) Stealthy: Primarily uses shadows, cover and stealth focused combat. Squad Commander: Will travel with multiple wingmen. Ace Pilot: +5% damage dealt by space ship weapons. Possible benefits: Info Running/Spying on Vanduul targets for UEE Assassination/Espionage/Extortion on UEE/Vanduul (Possibly other races) targets Insertion of Loyal NPC's to promote policies that benefit/hinder factions during war Currently I'm missing all of the cursory technical info (As seen on the Individualistic trait), which is something I won't plan on adding in myself unless it's needed. These are only a handful of traits I've come up with and I hope to add more if people show interest. So please leave your honest feedback, would you like seeing something like this in SC? EDIT: Added in combat characteristics, working on a way to marry it to the personality traits.
  24. [POLL] Which new Concept Ships are you going to get and will it affect your overall Pledge? For more info on the sale see link Below is a quick summary of the ships and the extras (so you don't have to link back to the main page). WAVE THREE SHIP CONCEPTS RSI Orion – Roberts Space Industries’ goal has always been to make the stars available to individual Citizens. Now, with the RSI Orion mining platform, RSI is letting individuals take over a process formerly controlled by megacorporations. The Orion’s features include high-grade turret-mounted tractor beam arrays, durable exterior-accessible ‘saddlebags’ for mineral storage and a cabin designed by the team that brought you the Aurora and Constellation! Origin 890 JUMP – The rumors are true: Origin Jumpworks has a larger ship in the works! The Origin 890 JUMP is an interstellar super-yacht with exquisite styling and an array of high quality upgrade options. Travel the stars in style with multiple decks, high visibility windows and a small boat bay. Whether you’re outfitting it to explore new worlds or to take a pleasure cruise through Terra, the 890 JUMP is the epitome of luxury, class and refinement! Aegis Reclaimer – The Reclaimer (formerly Surveyor), from noted military contractor Aegis, is an industrial-quality salvage ship. Equipped with a reinforced cargo bay, a long-range jump drive and launch pods for unmanned drones, the Reclaimer is an ideal ship for taking advantage of deep space wrecks. Tractor beams, floodlights, scanner options and docking ports round out the tool chest on this capable, utilitarian spacecraft. Anvil Carrack – The Anvil Carrack has been the vanguard of every UEE exploration effort in recent years. Featuring reinforced fuel tanks for long-duration flight, a highly advanced jump drive array and a dedicated computer core room that allows it to put the maximum processing power into jump charting operations. Originally a military exclusive, the Carrack is now available for civilian use as a pathfinder spacecraft. Features on-board accommodations to allow for truly self-sufficient flight, including crew medical and repair facilities, and a mapping-oriented sensor suite capable of always charting a route home! MISC Hull C (Discreet) – Scaling from small “box trucks” to massive supertankers, the MISC range of cargo hulls (A-D) are the standard goods transporter in human space. Extremely configurable, MISC Hulls can be adapted for most any type of transport job: from standard bulk shipping on the patrolled spacelanes to armored cargo hauling on the frontier. While these pre-configured hulls are primarily used for legitimate purposes, the MISC Hull Cs have recently become the favorite for criminals who modify the ship with advanced sensor shadow technology, quick-decompress holds and a variety of hidden compartments without modifying the ship’s body so it will appear to onlookers as standard everyday transports. Drake Herald – Knowledge is power, and one of the most valuable commodities is pure information: the 1s and 0s behind everything from UEC ledgers to Citizenship ratings. Whether it’s colonists struggling to stay in contact with the UEE’s central worlds or criminals trading in illicit data, there will always be a need to securely move data. The Drake Herald, small, armored ship, is designed to fit that need and safely get that information from Point A to Point B. Featuring a powerful central engine (for high speed transit and generating the power needed for effective data encryption/containment), advanced encryption software and an armored computer core, the Herald is unique among personal spacecraft in that it is designed to be easily ‘cleaned’ when in danger of capture. The Herald includes an array of heavy duty internal options for data protection, including redundant power subsystems and EMP shielding, and a high-powered broadcast array for data transmission. In addition, we are going to offer several extras available only during the concept period: The Lowest Price – backing earlier helps the production process the most, so it stands to reason that early backers should get the lowest price for their ships. Future Hangar-ready and flight-ready sales will increase the cost of a ship hull slightly. Hangar Flare – everyone who backs a concept sale will receive two pieces of Hangar Flare. At launch, you’ll get a poster featuring the ship you’ve purchased to display in your Hangar and when the CryEngine model asset is finished you’ll get the in-game Takuetsu model to add to your collection! Lifetime Insurance – one of the most common demands of CS is that we offer newly announced ships with cross-chassis upgrades to preserve LTI. While we maintain that Lifetime Insurance is a slight convenience and not a game changer, we know it’s something a lot of backers want. We feel comfortable including it during concept sales of ships which have never been available before (and do not intend to make it available again for existing ships or variants.) ++++++ Add any comments to explain or detail your Concept Ship picks below on this thread. Any posts related to the Concept Sale (but not your specific ship picks) should be on this thread --->>> sale see link. &&& Post on this thread which ships you value the most and would like to have (from the Concept Ship sales)
  25. ...that we are past the point of having input in the direction that RSI / Star Citizen is going. There I've said it, it's out in the open. Let's just concentrate on giving them feedback on what we like/dislike or how things could be improved but let's move away from thinking we have an impact on the direction the game is going in. All of those votes that they have us do, for the letters from the chairman, mean NOTHING people.....absolutely nothing. Do not get bent out of shape when they release something that they want before something that the 'community' voted on. They should not put them up tbh and the whole stretch goal fiasco needs to be abolished. All the previous crowd funded stuff that we used to live by needs to go and we need to transition into a new mode of operation that will see us through to the PU. That is all. Wu
