  1. Apologies if the info im after is easily available someplace but i wanted someone to clarify the following. As an Original backer we all reached the stretch goals for the persistant universe to eventually have around 100 individual solar systems to explore. Will non backers also be able to explore these once the game releases and these systems are gradually added? Or will non backers have to pay for the added content? I would imagine the systems will be added and non backers / pledgers will be charged to keep the games funding ticking to cover future development costs and for additional content to be added. I would not be happy if someone bought the game on release and could play the game and enjoy all the 100 systems having never backed the game or supported the development. I imagine the game will release with maybe 10-20 solar systems and they will add solar systems gradually as a trickled DLC to the PU like expansions which they will charge non backers for?

Shadows Lead to Oblivion BLOOD MOON Vanduul Hunters Squadron BLOOD MOON Squadron - Persistent Universe (PU) Scheduled Events + Discoveries PU Schedule Events + Discoveries is a squadron-focused event calendar or times when we want to get together and accomplish a common goal in the Persistent Universe. These threads will be supplemented by an Event Calendar later on once we get up and running (and regular play going on). This thread will be focused on (and everyone can post here to create events - just note what type of event it is): Monthly Large Planned Events (*these may eventually have their own thread - but post newly introduced ones here as well) Weekly Medium Planned Events (*these may eventually have their own thread - but post newly introduced ones here as well) Daily Play - Post whenever you are on and in the PU (so others know to join you in TS and in-game) Post your ongoing efforts in the PU to complete a mult-mission quest in the PU (in-case someone wants to pick up where you left off and help you towards its completion) Post important discoveries or new way of doing things (like how to find a reward) - If important enough elevate it to a communication with an appropriate Imperium Officer Anything else relative to the Persistent Universe
  3. This week-end SDCC gave us some interesting info: CR plans on having around 20 million AI agents around the PU, and players should account 10% of the population. And we know that the PU when fully released in the start should have around 150 systems. This means that those 150 systems should be able to support those 20 million agents, although we do not know if those are both ships, crew and planetside NPCs or just ships. Also it looks like he plans on supporting up to 2 million players in the beginning in the PU. We know that the core systems of the UEE will probably be more populated than the fringe systems and so on, so a bulk of those millions of agents will be traveling trough UEE and neighboring systems. This should generate a lot of ambient traffic with actual goals and not just randomly generated. I remember in Freelancer how I enjoyed hearing the local trade traffic chatting about their destination and so on, how it added some sense of life to the sectors. Knowing that it all will be there, and interconnected in the economy should help SC feel truly alive, especially in the more populated systems where everyone is busy doing their work. It also does say something about the PvE potential of the PU, seeing how we should see the emergent gameplay out of the day to day actives of AIs (traders, patrols and pirates and so on). Anyway I am very exited to the scope of the universe right now! :-D
