Hello everyone, I am a new member on this site. I am very excited about Star Citizen, however I do not currently have a PC that can handle it. I am also working on planning and paying for a wedding, so I really could not have decided this was the game I wanted, at a worse time! Once the wedding is out of the way, I will definitely be building a PC and pledging as fast as I can. Until then, I will mostly be lurking and reading here. Up until this point, I have mostly been a console gamer. I also used to be hardcore into Mil-Sim gaming. I was on a mil-sim team that played most tactical games (Not call of duty.. I don't have a high opinion of run and gun games..) We were made up of many active and retired military members, as well as civilians like me. The tactics we learned and taught were 100% legit military strategy, applied to what the game allowed. I was with the group for 10 years before it finally splintered and disbanded. So if any orgs out there are looking to get some tips and tricks for how to run your military side more efficiently and tactically, feel free to ask. One thing I have noticed from watching various streams and YouTube videos, is that very few players seem to realize the potential this game has for tactical domination. Because of server size, it isn't really an issue right now, but when server size expands things will get very interesting.. I might not have the game yet, but I would love to make some connections before I get into the verse! Future Plans: Build a good (roughly $2,000 budget) PC that will be primarily used for Star Citizen and Sim Racing. - I have a company PC and Laptop for work, so this PC does not need to focus on anything but gaming. Buy/Build a Sim rig that can be converted from wheel (SimRacing) to dual sticks (Flight) - I want to find something that can easily be switched depending on what I feel like playing. Figure out how the hell I am going to afford all of this without my future wife being pissed.. (Adulting can really suck sometimes) Anyway, that's my hello. If you have any tips or any setup suggestions, please feel free to message me!
