Been monitor shopping lately and this review between the IPS and TN panels was pretty nice, thought it could come in handy for anyone searching the difference in the future, I keep seeing "get IPS" but could never see the reason but this is helping clear some things up.

Okay, we've all spent money on good monitors, some have even spent better money on "better" monitors. Typically, that's the end of it. It shouldn't be -- because you want the best color to go with the best resolution, right? On 2 or more monitors, this is especially important. Monitor calibration devices tend to be on the expensive side, typically over $160 to $300. There is a relatively inexpensive device available, however, that will permit you to have good color on those monitors you own. There's currently (4 July 2015) a promotion for this device $20 off the normal $100 cost if you get it from their website - I got mine for about $70 last year, so look for a deal. Amazon has it for $90. Colormunki Smile from X-Rite monitor calibration
