Noob question here. This will be the first database wipe I've experienced (only been playing SC for about a month) and I'm wondering if we'll either have to re-start from complete scratch and pick our home port, or if we'll have the option to change our home port without any kind of "monetary penalty" where I'd lose whatever UEC they'll give us when the database opens back up. When I started I selected Area 18 as my home base, and while I do like it I find that I like New Babbage better and I'd rather have my base there. I suppose I could reset my character a day before the wipe and just do it that way, but maybe that's not the best way to manage this?

So, since i have been flying a lot in 3.3 and now 3.4 i seem to be going all over the system. Sometimes i find it that my ships are at different ports and i dont want to file a claim and then pay to have it "brought" back to the port iam currently in. My question is this, when playing the game when it goes "live" are we going to have a home port we are going to play out of? (carriers? what size can we store in them?) Are we gonna get lazy and leave ships everywhere and just recall them? Would we purposely leave certain ships at certain stations just because of what ships they are? IE hammerhead with the main fleet and guild base? What are our plans as a whole for this? My plan i think would be keep my solo ship and a few others based out of one location and base the bigger ships with the guild? But i honestly hate having my ships everywhere even now with what little ports we can fly outta lolool or if the bigger carriers allow for port storage just home base outta the carrier?

Has anyone thought of this or have I missed discussion for it? I think with an organisation as large as us, with as many companies interacting in tandem we can encompass a much larger area than most organisations/empires. I believe multiple bases stretched across the galaxy in a chain of overlapping support would best suit us, or perhaps ownership of a corner of a galaxy with multiple bases therein. Also, UEE-controlled territory -- not sure how about how this will all work, but perhaps Imperium would able to take-over these areas or at least CROWD them in such a way as for it be regarded as Imperium territory regardless of said region's allegiance. Imperium members can "infiltrate" (not really infiltrate) climb the social ladder of UEE influence, obtain high levels of position and dictate/influence influence of interest, objectives and agendas for other organisations which favour Imperium all within the lawful conduct of all things UEE. With Operation Pitchfork as a go from the moment the universe of SC is unveiled, I believe the takeover of Tiber and Orion by the Imperium is a real possibility, which would automatically serve as a secondary base on the far end of the galaxy like a knife straight through Vanduul territory. Hell, why not settle at the centre of the galaxy? What's to stop us? Thoughts? Previous thread to aforementioned discussion (dated), speculations range from Ellis to the Branaugh/BRANAGH system:

Here is my video tribute I made a while ago for groups I use to work with. I want to take this time to share this video of memories I have had with these groups. I plan on making another video of multiple groups i work with in the future. It is my personal goal to show the world that the internet is a beautiful place, if you can find the appropriate groups. And my purpose is to capture these great groups in their moments of glory. I can say with confidence that Imperium will be among these groups when Star Citizen is released. It may not be my next tribute video, but will be among the number of tribute of videos I plan on making in the future.
