  1. Morning all I was wondering if those who use joystick and throttle can lend me some help. I have a logitech X56 HOTAS and have finally after much trial and error have gotten it to work. The issue I am personally having is the way the default thrust is working with my throttle. For example in Elite Dangerous my throttle works like I would expect, if I slide it all the way back that is a dead stop. If I push forward it is full engine throttle. In this game the throttle is idle in the middle which is hard to find for me cause my throttle has no mid detent, also when I push forward it goes in reverse engine thrust and when I pull all the way back it is full thrust forward. To me this is not good especially how the throttle IMO is reversed. Is there a way to make the throttle perform like it does in elite where I can use the full range for going forward and set a reverse button and if not can someone assist me in getting it whee at least when I push all the way forward it is full throttle forward. I have tried setting in game settings FLIGHT - HOTAS thrust invert toggle to both settings yes and no and it has not effected how my throttle works at all is remains backwards to me. Thanks anyone who can lend assistance. NavyCPO

Feedback Wanted Motorized Sit/Srand Desk experiences

I am looking to getting a motorized sit/stand desk for both everyday use and possibly gaming. Has anyone had any experiences with any that are either good or bad? I'm just starting my research now on the subject. I plan a curved monitor of 32"-36" as the main display with a secondary display of 27". Thanks

    Feedback Wanted Simpit and Peripherals

After a long time of research and configuring what I believe to be the best set up for Star Citizen and general gaming and purpose, it's almost ready to start the process. I was always intrigued by the idea of a simpit but never liked the ergonomics until I came across this post and the set up going on: https://imgur.com/a/GMG9E I believe this is the set up I'm going after. Just wanted to know if there was anything I should add to this list besides the Volair Simpit, large center display and two alternate displays: VKB Space Sim Joysticks https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/50174/thread/vkb-space-combat-grip-joystick VKB Throttle https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=199002 Corsair Dark Core RGB SE w/ Amazon Qi Charger https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Gaming-Mice/DARK-CORE-RGB-SE-Performance-Wired-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse-with-Qi®-Wireless-Charging/p/CH-9315311-NA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVWTDM5/ref=emc_b_5_t Is there anything else I should be looking at? Eventually there will be a VR headset and I will most likely be picking up the FOIP camera for SC.

Feedback Wanted Fly in SC with our mouse

Hello, I come back to you following my thread that I did six month ago, and I have a lot of news! To sump up quickly, I’m in the company that has created the Lexip mouse, a mouse with two integrated joysticks for 3D profesionals. After my last thread, I talked with my team and the project of created a gaming mouse started. We have improved our first mouse thanks to our beta testing team who allowed us to create the perfect gaming mouse: 200 to 8200 DPI, braided cables, programmable buttons… Today, in order to bring this project to a successful conclusion, we launch our Kickstarter campaign! I wanted to share this information with you in preview because it’s thanks to you, members of this forum that this project is born. I can answer all of your questions, this mouse is my baby! ;) Thank you for everything!

Feedback Wanted How would you configure my mouse ?

Hello everyone I published here some time ago (https://forums.starcitizenbase.com/topic/21771-optimal-navigation-with-a-3d-mouse/) and thanks to you I gathered all the information I wanted in order to prepare my gaming mouse project Now, I only miss one thing to perfect my presentation : the configurations of the mouse. So I need you again please ! Here is the list of the buttons and X, Y, Z axis : - Left and right clics - 2 side buttons - Joystick button (you press the joy) - Analog joystick 360° : config on 4 directions - Analog tilt 360° : config on 4 directions - Translation up, down, left, right - Scroll wheel up, down - Scroll wheel button - Lexip button (under the scroll wheel) - Scroll wheel sensitivity - Mouse sensitivity - DPI (01 to 5040) You can set up all these buttons with the Control Panel. You can do what you want (keyboard keys, shortcuts, macros…). How would you configure the mouse ? I can't wait to exchange with you.
  7. WD PR4100, TS-453A-4G or DS918+ The first two are very similar price give or take 50. The newer one of the QNAP, The TS-453B-4G, however, the pricing is gone way up to €702.67 from its old(er) version €491.82 TS-453A-4G. The TS-453A is the very similar with the PR4100 in price, but it does have HDMI, which the WD doesn't have. However it is software side that the QNAP is the king QNAP are supposed to be the leader in apps with synology coming second. I'm leaning towards the second one TS-453A-4G at the moment. Basically I want to use it as another backup of my OS, torrent and watch vids really. However, I lack the experience of running/setting up all three. any advice would be much appreciated.
  8. Hey guys, thought I would share my low-budget dual-joystick and pedal mount I made over this past weekend. Enjoy!

    Feedback Wanted Tether Free VR

Came across this piece of kit and wondered if anyone has tested it or heard any feedback? Apparently, it frees your VR gaming experience from the constraints of tethers. it's 100% compatible with Oculus Rift or HTC Vive and requires no hardware modification or adjustment. http://kwikvr.com/

    Feedback Wanted Scroll for throttle?

Ok, so the other day I had a crazy idea and I wanted to see if anyone had tried it before I redo my controls. I have always preferred to have an analog throttle but, at the moment (and probably always) I don't have the skills to run HOTAS and not get wrecked by AI. However, I was wondering if anyone had hooked up their scroll wheel to their throttle to free up the other had to only strafe (which I always have trouble doing around the throttle. Any suggestions? Is this even possible? Or is this just another one of my stupid ideas that leads me to crash straight into port Olisar?

Feedback Wanted Analog Keyboard Used in Star Citizen

About a year ago I posted in these forums about an analog keyboard I've been working on for a couple of years. I have made some sizeable changes in the keyboard to make it more usable in Star Citizen and posted a video highlighting how to get full analog control over 6dof using an analog keyboard and mouse: I'd love to hear your feedback!

Feedback Wanted My Star Citizen setup

I copied my post over in the general threads so that it is now in it's proper place..... For what it's worth, for those of us who choose one, having a joystick alone will not give you all of the control any of us will need even with a keyboard. I will leave the merits and setups of the HOTAS kits for someone else in another thread. We all know that KB/M users are loathe to even consider changing to another control scheme because, frankly, they are really familiar with it and thus are more comfortable with the setup they probably learned on. Good on 'em! I rarely use KB/M, if I am, it's because I'm running a Battlearmor in Mechwarrior: Living Legends - but that's it (yes, I play no FPS games). Maybe later, when FPS in SC is enabled, but even then, I'll use my Razer Nostromo (or Orbweaver if I buy one later) and the mouse. I am not debating a person's choice of using a KB/M setup here - the argument is really very old, established, and, frankly, I really don't care why anybody uses a KB/M as their default setup so let's keep that out of any response anybody will have to my "alternative" control scheme - we ALL know why a lot of people choose KB/M. However, if anybody wants to compare my config to theirs if they are instead using a keypad like the Nostromo and a mouse vice a traditional KB/M setup, then by all means, their experience will definitely help others make decisions about future purchases or setup peripherals. I have posted this somewhere in the Imperium forums, but, it's buried PLUS I've been thinking about the config and may have changed minor bits. My idea for a Star Citizen control scheme is to use the Razer Nostromo (a keypad) and Joystick. The use of the keypad allows me to have an uncomplicated joystick in a keyboard. My ideas for using them are: Razer Nostromo keypad for the left hand -- I do recommend the Razer Orbweaver or Orbweaver Stealth, though, because their hand, palm and thumb test ergonomics can be adjusted whereas the Nostromo features are fixed (the Razer Tartarus is the replacement for the Nostromo I think and lacks the scroll wheel and also has a fixed hand and thumb rest). The Nostromo has multiple wait states you can use to program a scheme for another game or to supplement the SC configs for, say, FPS movement/actions control: program the 14 keypad finger buttons as needs for weapons, shields, hyper/lightspeed, etc. the d-pad I will for the following: "W" for throttle increase, "S" for decrease throttle and slowly increasing reverse thrusters until stop or max output for reverse, "A" for strafe left, "D" for strafe right The scroll wheel I think will be useful for controlling fore and aft shields. The use should be obvious, but just in case: - neutral/middle is equal fore and aft shield strength - moving the wheel forward or backwards will alter the percentage as needs I plan to use a Joystick for the right hand, at present, I'm using the inexpensive Logitech Extreme 3D Pro - been using one for years, even to play mechwarrior games. Plus, SC is supporting this JS from jump. The following setup has yet to be worked out, exist only as possibilities and will depend on how much fine control we get over the thrusters. X-axis - turn left/right or program for roll Y-axis - pitch down/up Z-axis - either rotate on the x-axis around the Y-axis or roll left/right (by selecting which thrusters are employed if possible - this may require a macro in the logitech software and/or SC settings) Hat switch, I hope to be able to program it for thruster use because I will be using TrackIR for "looking": left - rotate left on the z-axis right - rotate right on the z-axis forward - move forward down and level on the y-axis back - move forward up and level on the y-axis (the last two will be Q and E I believe) Trigger button/button 1 - primary fire button Button 2 (thumb button) - comms Button 3 - secondary weapon(s) Button 4 - tertiary weapon(s) Button 5 - missile countermeasures Button 6 - Alpha (all weapons less missiles unless have lock) There are buttons on the base of the JS, but I've not thought about why I would use them unless it was for jumping to hyper/lightspeed where my left hand can be used for them without having to worry about any other functions needed for fighting, boarding, mining, etc.... razer orbweaver http://youtu.be/mBwueKn6QMA

  18. I am a PS4 moderate gamer looking to replace my seven year old PC. Now if that PC happens to be able to play Star Citizen I can give this game a shot. It looks to have everything I ever wanted from a PC game if it is ever released. The problem I have is not wanting to spend much on the PC itself and no I will not build a PC. Tried that once and all it lead to was wasted money and lots of cursing. Will this be able to handle Star Citizen? http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=83-102-038#close If not does anyone have links to pre-built PC's that would be able to handle Star Citizen on medium settings and not cause my wife to murder me through excessive expense?

Feedback Wanted Dell Inspiron 1548 Help

I have been using my laptop for work for the last 2 years, and I have had zero problems with the onboard graphics card. I use a lot of Microsoft products and heavy ram intensive products, so I upgraded to 16 gb. Well the screen was defaulted to 2330 X something and I had left it there. The game was jumpy and was unplayable, so I moved the game resolution down to 1960X something, and it was ok but still hard to play because of the jumpiness. So I adjusted my sceen resolution to the same 1960 X something resolution lastnight. After which I spent all night fighting the crash report, or I was falling through walls. Is my onboard gpu not able to handle the game at the way it plays now or do I need to make more adjustments?

  22. I am looking to get a new laptop to replace my desktop machine and think I have an MSI model that will do it. But, it needs some modifications to pull it off. I found several companies that claim to do it and narrowed it down to 2. Has anyone had any experiences with either Computer Upgrade King or Xotic PC? I have no problem making the changes myself but would like to avoid wasting money on components I plan to replace or voiding the warranty. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
  23. I built this a while back and it runs most games pretty well at Ultra (except for Arma 3, it hates Arma 3.) http://pcpartpicker.com/list/DmFFkL I'm looking to get VR and I've not really gotten any solid feedback on this rig before. What can I upgrade for a better VR /general experience (besides the ever so obvious GPU)? Also, I want a better case if anyone has any suggestions.
