  1. As ED has improved a lot over the years. adding planet landing, multi-crew, the galactic powers conflicts and most recently, the alien threat known has the Thargoids, I finally decided to "return" and see how things were shaping up. As a sandbox style space sim, ED shares a lot of ideas with SC. But ED simply doesn't have the budget to do something on the scale of SC. Still, playing it can show us a glimpse of what we can expect in SC, once all the features are united into a cohesive game. For instance, similar to what we'll be able to do in Star Citizen, in ED you can join other players in wings or multi-crew. You can land on planets, visit landmarks and collect resources. You can join the fight for control of the galaxy, joining factions that tailor to your in game ideals. You can be a pirate, a bounty hunter, smuggler and so on. Playing ED has given me greater confidence regarding SC development direction. For instance, multi-crew in ED is .... FREAKING AWESOME. Nothing can describe how cool it is to board a fighter in a multi-crew ship and launch. Landing on planets really adds a layer to ED that makes the universe a lot more interesting to explore. Lately, I've been doing some smuggling missions and the pressure you feel when trying to dock in a station without being scanned is just so much fun. Here is an example of a gameplay dynamic that might play out similarly to some extent in SC. Insurance: Usually one of the first recommendations players give you is : "Do not fly a ship if you don't have enough money to pay the insurance company if you get destroyed." You learn pretty early in ED how unforgiving it is to loose all your assets. I went bankrupt a couple of times and it was frustrating as hell. But it was all my fault. And SC plans to offer a more in depth but similar mechanic making the player really care and worry about their ships, their loadouts and security. http://www.pcgamer.com/how-star-citizens-ship-insurance-works-and-how-players-will-exploit-it/ Anyway, as we all know a feature may look good on paper but suck in game. What I´m finding out while playing ED is that they have sort of dumped down versions of new mechanics that will be available in SC. Things like insurance, multi-crew. A lot of ship management options. A lot of customization options and so on. And if ED is any indication, is that its these attention to detail that make a game great. On top of this, SC offers a full universe you can actually walk on. Full player interaction. FPS, immersive story. And come on!!! A planet sized City? How awesome is that!? It is mind-blowing. To finalize this post : Sure, SC is taking a long time to develop. But it´s so much more ambitious then anything out there. There is a major difference between SC and ED. SC has mass market appeal due to its jaw dropping graphics, story telling and yes...FPS. If CIG delivers the game with the features they have shown throughout these years, I have no doubts that SC will become the best selling PC game of all times. SC has the potential to become the GTA of space sims. Nicole D'Angelo did a pretty nice video about Elite Dangerous that goes a bit in depth into what is great in ED from a Star Citizen perspective. It's worth it :
  2. Elite: Dangerous - Guardians

Its really cool to see this came continually added to. I'm waiting for the ability to walk around first person, but so far it's a fantastic VR implementation and you can actually play with friends. The game does heavily favor space trucking however. You can land on planets and drive about and you can definitely get into faction wars or go bounty hunting, but min/maxing cargo runs is where the money is.

  4. Hello, So I have a lifetime expansion pass that i bought back in august 2015. It was offered (130£) for the last time and for a very short period of time. I've just changed the email address with a new one especially created for the purpose. You will be able to download the game and launcher from the frontier store with the account information Steam keys for Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous:Horizon have already been claimed and used on my steam account, but they worth nothing without the Frontier account, as stated on the frontier website on the "Partner keys" page But really you get no benefits from having the games on steam (If i knew i wouldn't have used them), you still have to go through the ED launcher, and login to play. So if you want the games on steam, you could just "add a non steam game", it will be exactly the same. I will ask for Steam to delete the keys from my account anyway, I don't know if it will make them reusable though. Since I don't have a reputation here, I invite you to send me a message on ebay if you want to check on me, I have a good rep there. I will answer you to let you know it is me from starcitizenbase.com. My display name on ebay is stardustrevolution (http://www.ebay.com/usr/stardustrevolution). I have paid 200$(130£ @ 1£=1.56$ on 08/15/2015) for it, so i'd be happy if I could get something like 180$ 150$. I only own a Cobra MK III fully equiped that worth about 1 million credits, and 278 000 credits in cash. I have a verified paypal account. You will of course be able to create a new player if you want to start a new game.

So you will be starting with a bump in progress. Keep in mind that this is the Premium Beta Version(With All Future Expansions). Just a little background: I am selling this account, because I feels like this game is just not for me. I played a while, but the game is quite taxing on my computer, and I don't really want to shell out another couple hundreds just to run this game faster. If you would prefer a middleman, that would work too, but you will cover any fees associated with that. Thanks. Screenshot: I (seller) promise to abandon my account, agreeing to never attempt to recover said account via Frontier or any other means. As per Frontier's EULA all accounts remain the original account owner and Frontier’s sole property.

  9. In interesting comparison to SC in an ED Article First Impressions - Elite: Dangerousby Jason Imms | Thursday 24 September 2015 | 1 CommentJason has a belated look at the spiritual successor to one of the classics of gaming. Everything that is you, plus what little life-giving atmosphere could be crammed into the confines of your Sidewinder are protected from the ravaging cold by a thin pane of plexiglass. You are alone in the universe, despite the others you see flying about. You will never leave your ship, or know the touch of another human being. You are alone, but you are elite. You smuggle contraband for credits. You kill for credits. You discover never-before seen reaches of the vast universe, not for the scientific wonder of it, but for credits. Elite: Dangerous codifies only one reward for players’ efforts, in the form of the currency you spend on new ships, ship upgrades, and cargo for transport. Credits are the economy of the universe, they make the world go rou- actually that doesn’t have the right scale to it. Credits are the lifeblood of the universe. I came to this realisation early. Credits are the key to the most obvious goal that Elite: Dangerous presents to the player: The acquisition of bigger and better ships. As such, my senses immediately became attuned to this outcome. When perusing bulletin boards for missions to undertake, the most tantalising were those that paid the most and required the shortest amount of time, i.e. smuggling. It didn’t matter the contraband on offer, if the pay was good and the task simple, it made sense to go down that path. Illegal combat stimulants? Fine. Narcotics? Didn’t matter. Slaves? Whatever, it only made a red bar fill up. It’s not like the risk was high; worst-case scenario I screwed up my silent running procedure and got scanned. I could afford to pay the fine if I wasn’t hindered from making the sale – the profit was still massive. This went on for a good chunk of in-game hours. So, with hundreds of thousands of credits in my account and a shiny new Cobra Mk III under my butt, I looked at the bulletin board to see which missions were available. Nothing. At least, nothing that paid out at the level to which I’d become accustomed. I was stymied. I could spend a bunch of time looking into cargoes to buy cheaply from my current location and haul them to where they’d be sold for a tidy profit, but that seemed like hard work. With no specific prospects leaping out at me, I decided to just launch. To see where the (solar?) winds would take me. I exited the station with a by-the-book launch and surveyed my surroundings. I was near to a gas giant with Saturn-like rings. I was curious about how well-realised those rings were, given that the game offered no reason to go there outside of pure curiosity. I exited the mass lock radius of the station and entered supercruise, the game’s faster-than-light commute system. Supercruise is a solution to an interesting problem. Elite: Dangerous doesn’t require much of the player, as far as intensive action-heavy mechanics are concerned. Especially for a smuggler/hauler. Basically, when you’re not engaged in a dogfight or manoeuvring for landing, you’re sitting fairly idle, watching rangefinder numbers tick down as you approach your destination. This leads to a very introspective form of play, a game that is about learning and executing procedures rather than reacting to in-the-moment stimuli. After about 40 hours of time spent with Elite: Dangerous, I decided to check out the latest offering of Star Citizen’s nascent Arena Commander mode. The difference is staggering, and I’m not sure that the comparison does Elite: Dangerous any favours. Even in its unfinished state, the dogfighting mechanics in Star Citizen seem lightyears ahead [I’m so sorry, ed - Jason]. The experience is frantic and tightly bound to the skills of the pilot. Where the dogfights in Elite: Dangerous are more of an arms race, a question of who has spent the most money kitting out their ship, Star Citizen affords even those with the most rudimentary weapons systems the ability to hold their own in combat if their reflexes and instincts pass muster. Throughout my time with Elite: Dangerous, the one feeling I couldn’t shake is that I was alone. Even when I battled the newly-included Wing mode that allows players to join together and find each other from anywhere in the universe, I felt alone. Sure, we could see each other on the galaxy map, but what was the point? Missions didn’t scale to allow for multiple active players, funds couldn’t be shared around to facilitate Freelancer-style freighter runs with friends running interference in fighter-class ships. Elite: Dangerous is a solo experience despite the MMO trappings. It’s about the cold pursuit of credits and a relatively short progression through the different ships on offer, a progression that is artificially padded by a horrendous cost curve on the later ships. Ultimately the largest cost, the expense that’s just that little bit too difficult to justify, is the cost of disappointment. After all of your hard work, hauling and grinding, that new ship you bought just isn’t that different to the one you were flying before. In fact, maybe you preferred the old one? You could sell it back and keep the money, but then what? When you stop playing Elite: Dangerous, it won’t be because you’re finished. It’ll be because you’re tired and bored, two words that I have to hope weren’t on the whiteboard when Frontier Developments was designing endgame.
  10. SOLD! Selling an Elite Dangerous Account. It comes with a Viper that have upgraded weapons, and some utilities, along with some extra Credits(134,133 CR). Selling for $45/£29. So you will be starting with a bump in progress. Keep in mind that this game costs $59.99 a month ago, and just came down in price due to the recent Expansion pack... :-(. So I would be selling this below cost, as I would not need this account anymore. All details will be changed to yours(Email, street, phone, etc.) If you want to change the Commander name, you would have to clear save. But after the transaction, just tell me you would like to change the commander name, and I will give you detailed instruction on how to do that without losing everything( over Skype/Your preferred chatting service.)[It involves selling the ship, and buying the most expensive commodity, and dumping them to me. Then you clear save, and I will dump them back. And you buy your ship.] Just a little background: I am selling this account, because I have another account now just sitting there. So I don't feel like I would need another account. Therefore, selling this one. I am new to this forum with only 1 trade a few days ago, but I have a few other trades in the Reddit Forum, where I usually trade things. (Reddit Username: Eric1084).
  11. I am looking to buy an Elite Dangerous Premium Beta/Alpha account. Please PM me your offer. Thanks. P.S: I am new here, and just created an account for this.,, But I did do a few trades in the Star Citizen Reddit. Edit: Bought.
  12. Hello, I would sell My Elite Dangerous Beta + all future DLC account (equal to Premium Beta) It comes with decent ranks on trading and combat, Broker and Competent but Mostly aimless on explorer It holds near 230M in asset and cash: a fully A-Grade Python fitted for combat and 40M in cash. the Python is the best fighter if fitted to do that job, even than specialized ships like Fer-de-Lance, but still a great ship for trading or exploring. Price is 250$, Price is 200$, Price is 180$ I can accept RSI$ as a part of the payment. Price is not firm. Flamadin
  13. My buyer disappeared, as did the second party that was interested in this. So it is back on the shelf. I have an Elite Dangrous Merc Account for sale. The asking price for this is $200 USD (PP fees included), as well as my help learning the many undocumented features of the game. This covers $60 for the game, and the 160+ hours it would take you to grind up to the same credit amount, from scratch. The account comes with 200m credits cash and a fully trade outfitted Anaconda, starting out on my trade run that can make 6m credits per hour. The trick was for me to find time to grind those credits. This route is very rare as it does not degrade to an appreciable extent, so you can repeat it endlessly. The total asset value is 400m credits (value of ship, upgrades, and cash). Unlike the other sites where people are selling hack/exploit credit accounts, I am not. Frontier is watching the rates of earning on all account, and has been for over a month. They are planning to cull all the accounts that are earning at an inhuman rate, when they have their new anti-cheating software ready. Until then, they are letting the cheaters have their fun. My account comes with a hack & exploit free guarantee. All credits were earned legally, through regular gameplay. I can prove this to prospective buyers. Additional Benefits that are part of the account: Free Eagle (if you were to restart anyway) Cobra ship Merc skin Slight reduction on insurance costs Permit to the Sol system (no rank grinding required) Additional Benefits earned: Over 150 planets/stars that were discovered by 'you' (visited for the first time) along with a couple system names that were recorded to return and fully scan with 40+ planets. They are relatively near inhabited space, and have not been visited by anyone, so scanning them will add your name to them. They are also in an entire field of other systems waiting to be tagged. Trade rank is 1/3 of the way to Elite, which will unlock the founder's world(s) Allied status with Empire, Federation, and Friendly with Alliance - all without being tied to any of them (little rank progression) This account sale comes with forum login/password, however the original email is not included. I guarantee to abandon and never try to recover the account. This transaction will be conducted through verified PayPal invoicing, with full documentation, including the guarantees. You must have a verified PayPal account as well. If you want to use a middleman from SCB, that is acceptible as long as they are known here and you are picking up the fee for that.
  14. I have an Elite Dangrous Merc Account that I have been messing around with since before the game went live. It was wiped at launch to start over since the Beta economy/mining allowed you to earn 10X faster, which I considered unfair. Of course now... The asking price for this is $300 USD (PP fees included), as well as my help learning many of the undocumented features of the game. This covers $60 for the game, and the minimum 150 hours it would take you to grind up to the same credit amount, from scratch. The account comes with 206m credits cash and a fully outfitted Lakon 9, starting out on my trade run that can make 5m credits per hour. The trick was for me to find time to grind those credits. This route is very rare as it does not degrade to an appreciable extent, so you can repeat it endlessly. So the total asset value is 311m credits, or ~305m if you were to cash in the ship to purchase something else. You could afford a totally outfitted Python or a decently outfitted Anaconda. Unlike the other sites where people are selling hack credits, I am not. Frontier is watching the rates of earning on all account, and has been for over a month. They are planning to cull all these accounts that are earning at an inhuman rate Soon™, when they have their new anti-cheating software ready. Until then, they are letting the cheaters have their fun. My account comes with a hack & exploit free guarantee. All credits were earned legally, through regular gameplay. I will show prospective buyers that it was actually played. Trade rank is 1/3 of the way to Elite, which will unlock the founder's world(s) Allied status with Empire, Federation, and Friendly with Alliance - all without being tied to any of them (little rank progression) The only thing to warn is that you will be forced to use the current handle, as changing it requires a restart (wipes credits). It is not a bad or silly name, and the account has never been used to grief or has had substantial interactions with other players. So you will not find that you are 'wanted', or have any unnecessary demands on your time. This account sale comes with forum login/password as well, however the original email is not included. As with the no hack/exploit guarantee, I guarantee to abandon and never try to recover the account. This transaction will be conducted through verified PayPal invoicing, with full documentation, including the guarantees. You must have a verified PayPal account as well. If you want to use a middleman from SCB, that is acceptible as long as they are known here and you are picking up the fee for that.

  19. Hi, I am selling my Elite Dangerous Lifetime Expansion Pass for €30 (I bought it for €40 few days before it expired). https://store.zaonce...nsion-pass.html When I bought this, I thought of buying the game in two steps due to its high price, first the Lifetime Pass and then the final game or the beta. Meanwhile, a co-worker and friend has sold his Premium Beta to me for half of the price, so I don't need this anymore. I saw people complaining about being scammed and their accounts reclaimed, but it is not the case here, I already have a Premium Beta account that I play with. Let me know if you are interested about my offer or if you know someone who is. I have a verified PayPall account and I am an honest person. Thanks, Tiberius
