  1. Reverse the Verse - Episode 17 with CIG http://www.twitch.tv/cigcommunity/c/5222975 Note - they are calling the Impromptu Reverse the Verse on the Reclaimer episode 16 so I modified the title of this thread to match this one being episode 17 of RTV. Notes transcribe in summary (in order) below: Not enough WIP to show Starfarer or Caterpillar Sneak Peak in ATV CIG set up everything for the AMD Mustang - they don't know why they can't release it - have to heard more from AMD Avenger Variants ready (probably we will see them soon) Dog Tags are now being polished CIG keeps a "Lore Bible" James has been created a Lore Character List "Flat Cats" are an indigenous plant species evolving on heavy gravity planets "What type of Religions will be in SC?" - Most religions we see today will still be around in SC times (with new ones introduced). They won't define specific ones. "What happened to the Moon for Earth in SC times?" - There will be moon bases but they won't commit to a landing zone on Earth's moon. They will be infusing Alien Languages with future Lore posts Mustang owners will get a 300i as a trainer (until they are fully flyable - they will appear in hangar only at first) CIG will hack the hangar system to allow Medium size ships to appear with Small ships in the same bay and affect the total number of ships appearing in hangar. Owen is cleaning up the damage states on the 300 series The Idris "did not" become shorter - it was just the angle of the shot No new ATV and no RTV for next week - Citizen Con You will hear more about the PU next week - Citizen Con No price range for the Carrack yet The Claw on the Reclaimer articulates - not just going back and forth Citizen Con will reveal CIG's plans for next year (yearly summary and update) Interior defines how difficult the damage state become (if it has a bigger interior it is more difficult) - Overall size matters but Interior size matters more. Avenger Variants are vastly different from each other Damage states are independent of damage type. Damage types will show the same breaking apart vs it blowing up or being cut off. No new info on new Corvette - other than it is in its "Text Description Phase" with no "Concept Art" being worked on yet. CIG has an archive of their favorite CS tickets Alien "Flat Cat" Plushies may be a merchandise option (per a fan request) End of November is the end of the Campaign so they may do something special then in addition to doing something special for Citizen Con (Oct 10th) Amazing progress on the 890 Jump - Ben is working on the stats UEC will be earnable in AC but it will be after AC1.0 but before AC2.0 Caterpillar has not changed role or size (still the same) Super Hornet will go on sale again Single seater ships and small multi-seater ships have priority for completion for AC (like Cutlass, Xi'An Scout, Super Hornet, etc...) -- over larger multi-crew ships. FPS module will have another $5 cost like AC M50 will be the next subscriber flare (the model) "How long is the Carrack" - Ben answers that it is on the Spec Page (thus it will "probably" not grow in size like all the other CIG current ships ) "When do we get the Room system for the Hangar?" - Underlining framework is ready according to Travis They combine up to 92 animations on characters (for FPS). CIG will be able to use the same animation from fist person to third person perspective (one unified rig) [ most games don't do this yet ] - It will improve immersion compared to what we are used to seeing in other games
  2. Here is a topic for those interested in the Dragon Con Atlanta event (8/29 to 9/1/2014). This is Sci-Fi Fantasy based comics, shows, and games entertainment, with a ton of vendors and the usual suspects who dress funny. http://dragoncon.org/ CIG will be there with: David Ladyman (I think he will be involved with one of the Writer's Workshop events). Ben Lesnick Dave Haddock David Hobbins and Alex Mayberry No conformation seen on CIG participation dates, but I imagine most of the action will be on Saturday and Sunday (8/30 and 8/31). Gaming Booths and Vendors will be open all four days but some participants only show for a day or two. There are entry fees of course, and some multi-day packages available (At the door, or pre-order). Dragon Con 2014 (August 29 - September 1) $130 Friday to Monday 4-day (available for purchase on Thursday and Friday only) $100 Saturday to Monday 3-day (available for purchase on Saturday only) $60 Sunday to Monday 2-day (available for purchase on Sunday only) $40 Friday only (available for purchase on Friday only) $50 Saturday only (available for purchase on Saturday only) $40 Sunday only (available for purchase on Sunday only) $30 Monday only (available for purchase on Monday only) I am poking at the youngin to see if he wants to go, since he is playing a lot more games than I am. He is sort of fixated on his trip to the Anaheim BlizzCon later this year, but I may be able to twist his arm to drive to Atlanta with me. Later this week I will know for sure if I will be in Atlanta on Labor Day weekend. How about you !? - DRUM out
