I was wondering what the other SCB members are thinking with regards to attending CitizenCon 2953? Do we have members that are going this year and is it worth dragging my butt to L.A. to get a firsthand look at some Star Citizen information and digital ships? It would be great to meet other SCB members in person and talk Star Citizen. MB

Greetings, Imperium and SCB members! CitizenCon is only a few days away (9th October) and with this being the first CitizenCon since 2019, we'd love to make this one as fun and special as we have in the past. Personally, I will be staying up as late as possible (starts 23:00 for me) and will be helping manage the channel for mutes and opens if people want to comment. We'll also be having some fun giveaways, discussions/comments live on the presentations, predictions, maybe even a drinking game (alcoholic/non alcoholic, you choose), and if things work out, might even make a run for Jumptown to help people get the Day of the Vara helmet. If you're planning on joining us for the event, please post here or on the discord announcement. See you all there!

I had hopes of the release for the Squadron 42 Roadmap with details, instead we were told it should release by the end of December. Twerk17 had stated it would likely be a discussion on the minimum viable product, and he ended up being correct. The presentation opens with Chris saying "What is release" which gave me chills deeper than the overpowered AC in the theater. By the timestamp of 8:30 he is done talking about the past and moving onto current things being implemented, Bind Culling, OCS, etc. Going forward his bullet points include: Ship Purchasing / Rental Org's System Full Persistence Server Meshing Release These are the milestones he feels are needed before the "Last Wipe". As TheNoobifier says, its a "Soft Release". It does not matter what jobs are implemented, what ships are flyable, for all we know this could be the best version of mining we see until they revisit it after release. I do think server meshing is going to take forever to get right so we could be on the 3rd revision of all jobs, and have 30 systems, who knows. It was nice to clarify release was when wiping ends after server meshing, but I was hoping a few more features and locations would be promised as nessisiary before the wiping ends.- 30 replies

Greetings, citizens! The last CitizenCon was very eventful. But, not every people have time to watch the every presentations, or at least the Opening Keynote, which duration is two hours. And I, by tradition, do a brief squeeze of what was on the main presentation - you can call it a trailer, or a retelling. In any case, for those who can't (or don't want) to watch the full Opening Keynote, such a format (in the dynamic “trailer” cut) will work better. Hello, My wife is a huge StarCitizen fan, a backer from way back in the day. We recently moved to Austin, and were quite busy with said move. I got on today hoping to buy her a ticket, only to see that the con is sold out. Is there any other way to get a ticket or access to the event? Could she work the event, or help out a member of the press? Anything would help, she was really devastated not being able to go... Thank you.

Building off your favorite elements from last year’s event, and taking advantage of everything the venue has to offer, we are excited to bring the event back to where CitizenCon began! Ticket Details CitizenCon 2948 will be held on Wednesday October 10th, 2018 at the Long Center in Austin: 701 W. Riverside Drive Austin, TX 78704 See a live presentation from Chris Roberts, and meet the team behind the game. We’ll also have plenty of activities and demonstrations around the venue, throughout the day to keep you entertained. This year we will be offering two ticket types: General Admission for $87 and Premium Access for $130 (prices include local sales tax). Hi Everyone, Tomorrow on are regular Monday 6pm PST - TS meeting I'd like to review our Roster for our unit. I'll also send out a PM - Blood Moon has existed for over 3 years now and has had members come and go and some drop out for being inactive. Since we are capped at a roster of 33 people - I'd like to make sure that we keep those spots reserved for active players. If you do get bumped (for being inactive) it doesn't mean you are out of the unit for good - we have many players come / go / return.... +++ Just because you may not be able to fit in the Roster doesn't mean you aren't part of Blood Moon (we are an extended family of friends more than twice the size of our actual unit). As long as you are in Imperium and a friend - you are welcome to join us in any Blood Moon mission / activity / event / etc.... It is not mandatory to join our TS meeting (but we would love to hear from you)..... but you should at least post on our Unit Forums or respond to our Communications PM. We are also going to be coordinating times when we can play together in 3.3 (for those of you waiting on the progress of Star Citizen ---- the game has been a real playable and fun game with minimal bugs since 3.2 = but we are really ramping up play in 3.3. Greetings, citizens! I decided to do a traditional video from the last exhibition - CitizenCon 2947. There will be no revelations in the video - all this can be seen in the presentation itself. I just decided, choosing, in my opinion, the right music, to do the editing with the best, in my opinion, moments from the main presentation of the exhibition. For those who are too lazy to view the whole presentation, this option can be ideal - atmospheric and shortly about the best. And those who have already seen the exhibition, it will be nice to see all this beauty again. Enjoy watching! P.S. At Citizencon this year Chris said they couldn't finish the SQ42 demo in time for the presentation. Has there been any news or rumours of when this demo will be shown? I do believe that Chris said they would show it in the near future. Well he also said last year that we would see more of SQ42 soon... So I hope we see something around Christmas.
