So this is my first bit of theorycrafting in a while.... You're out in an unfamiliar part of space, and you discover the first located derelict Bengal Carrier.... What do you do?!?!

I was doing some research on spectrum in 2.6 when I came across some shocking stats on the Bengal... apparently it has 90 turrets room for an Idris in it's hanger and one of it's turrets is HUGE... and I mean HUGE. It's called a "Ship Buster" Railgun. According to CIG: I totally want to stand on that as it fires. I would love to fly an aurora up the cannon and watch the shell load in and be fired out with it. From what I understand the Bengal has a crew of up to 1000 people. Just imagine the depth of teamwork needed to get that one off the ground huh? What are you most excited for in SC concerning capital ships? Anyway all this had me really excited so I made a vid: I would love your feedback! -

So I was thinking a bit about the Bengal and I remembered the balance of ships and the "rock, paper, scissor" mechanic. So the question, that started to form in my head is, where does the Bengal fit into this? We know the Bengal is used to be rare and only capturable, giving it a disadvantage against an other ship class, would make it easier to capture. The limitation speaks, in my opinion, for a really powerful Bengal and I would prefer that. What would you think is better, a Bengal that can only be overwhelmed by massive attack or a Bengal fitting into "rock,paper,scissor"?

So here's a question worth theory-crafting about. How will the Bengal and the Pegasus compare in the PU? From what we know, they're both giant capital ships that act as carriers, with the Bengal on record being capturable in the PU and the Pegasus highly likely to as well. At some point, we're likely going to see these too match up in a fight or have to choose between the two for a carrier role. So what do you guys think? Will one be better than the other, or simply play to certain strengths? What will those strengths be? Compare and contrast, folks, I can't wait to read what you all come up with!

Here I made you an image comparison http://imgur.com/8rCVnMV Top: Bengal Carrier, 1000m long, 113,000 tonnes Botom: Nimitz-class Carrier (76), 333m long, 101,400 tonnes" I have a hard time getting my head around the scale, but it all seems to check out. The Bengal design just isn't conserving volume at all, the way modern ships do. Has anyone said what the fighter compliment of the Bengal is yet? I hope it's a little more than a Nimitz.
