The Xi’an industrial shipbuilder, Gatac Manufacture, unveils its new interspecies commercial cargo hauler, the Railen. This alien hauler has been adapted to suit mixed-species crews and, along with a huge cargo capacity and formidable weapons package, features a unique mix of Human and Xi’an facilities that make it unlike anything else in the ‘verse. Crew 4 Length 53m, Width 52m, Height 67m Turrets: 2x manned with 2x S4 weapons Missiles: 2x Bespoke S4 racks (8xS1 per rack) , 2x Bespoke S3 racks (2xS2 per rack) Cargo capacity: 320 SCU Currently $200 warbond (LTI) or $225 store credit (6mo.) insurance. New ship from Xi'an! Very interesting concept for movement. Time for the explorers and scouts to re-look at your options! Quote: Xi’an ship design will be focused on a vertical aesthetic and maneuvering jets that can combine to thrust in multiple directions. Gimbaled, larger-than-normal thrusters sit on the four points of a star in the centerline, allowing each thruster unobstructed hemispherical coverage. The Xi’an scout can rotate on all axes and direct four thrusters to the rear or front! Because of this configuration the Xi’an ship has superb linear maneuvering abilities on all axes. This extra maneuverability comes at a cost however. Xi’an ships favor maneuverability over heavy armament or defensive protection. Xi’an Scout Unlocked! The Khartu is the light attack craft of the Xi’An military. Contrary to Human ship design, the Khartu doesn’t have a traditional main thruster, instead featuring an array of maneuvering thrusters on articulated rigs. This design allows for incredible agility, making them the bane of UEE pilots, who bestowed the nickname ‘Quark’ because when all of the thrusters are firing, the ship looks like a spark flying through space. The Xi’an Aopoa corporation also manufactures an export model, the Khartu-al, for sale to human civilians as a dedicated scout/explorer. Hello Friends: Two questions: 1. Do you think the next flight model will make the scout significantly more agile than other ships? It doesn’t have thrusters. It uses its main thrusters for all movement. 2. Do you think CIG will make any minor or major changes to the scout before persistent universe is released?

I didn't get a chance to post this Poll on SCB Base the other day (busy with work and had a meeting right after I posted it) .... when I added it to RSI Forums but would like to get people's opinion and votes here as well (besides it is fun + you can vote in both polls if you want). Please only reply to Poll issue here and general Khartu-Al stuff on our specific ship thread --> Xi'an Scout - Khartu-al (export model) Overall I am VERY impressed with Xi'an Khartu-al but would like to help CIG follow what the Community thinks.I personally LOVE the aesthetic (look) and the Animations...... but it needs more work (CIG probably knows most of this already)....1) Love the Look2) Love the Animations3) HUD needs to feel more Alien4) Weapon load-out too weak for being a competitor to a Hornet (per lore) - Should have 2xM6A (instead of 2x5A)5) Needs to be more maneuverable (expecting it to be the most maneuverable ship in game)6) Should have alien inertial dampers to help reduce Black / Red Outs (better than UEE ship tech)7) Should have faster speed (it is suppose to be a racer and the size of thrusters should warrant it) - right now it is only 220 SCM (210 is a slow Hornet) and only 660 CRU8) Should have stronger shields (per CIG - 10ftd)^^^ See 00:46 - Technology of Xi'An Scout ___ ++ more in the videoFrom CIG--->>WHAT MAKES THE KHARTU-AL COOL? SPOILER Big-Bad-Wolf on Reddit did find what is likely to be a new concept image for the ship on a quick screen shot on an older (but recent) ATV.... ^^^ In the Upper Left Corner is likely the Volper with the Xi'An Cargo Ship (which we have seen leaked) in the upper middle and upper right would be the Khartu-Al. With the 2016 aniversary sale continuing to wreak havoc on my Paypal account, I figured if I was going to go broke and hungry I might as well do it right. I don't like to half-ass anything. I have two additional pledges that I'm considering, and would like some input from whoever is kind enough to chime in. I think I've lost my objectivity in this orgy of ship porn so I leave it to this illustrious community to help me out. 1: Hull-C to Banu Merchantman CCU - Good idea? Why? Why not? Pros and cons? 2: Xian Scout - Any idea what it's actually good for other than looking beautiful? I mean seriously, I would love one but I just can't pin the roll of this ship.

I have sold several ships through www.star-hangar.com and every transaction is flawless. People try to down play the importance of LTI. True it won't be a game breaker, but RSI has said the more you use insurance, the more your premium will be. Also, extra insurance will need to be purchased to cover any upgrades you make to your ship.. weapons, power plant etc. The convenience of it, the savings, only needing insurance for your upgrades.. for the ENTIRE 10 years you could play this game.. I say that's worth a little extra. with that said.. I have trust issues. I sell through star hangar. Too many scammers out there. I've sold a few ships through them already and it is a pleasure. No stress. You will have to ask them what their fee is. Thanks for reading.

Wonder if we'll see any other capitals from the Banu or Xi'an for pledge...I would be pretty damn tempted to swap my Javelin for a Xi'an destroyer or the Banu equivalent (they don't have a proper navy as such). Ben seems to think the answer isn't a total no apparently. Well, i never heared of that one befor yesterday, when Sandy mentioned it in ATV episode 7. They either work on the concept art atm or are about done with it (i would need to rewatch be sure) Are there any informations out there about the Xi'an cargoship that i missed?

Mods, isn't it time to open up a new subforum for the new alien ship manufacturers? Maybe not for each manufacturer, but at least a subforum for alien ships? Discussions on the Khartu and Banu Merchantman can be focused there.
