1) We don't have anything called durability, but we do track two stats that could be related to it: Health and Condition. Health is the HP value of the part used when determining when a part explodes in combat, while condition represents how 'beat up' the part has become over time and represents its overall decrease in effectiveness.
2) Yes and no. You can always repair the HP of a part to full after combat, but condition is unrecoverable.
3) Maybe.
4) The max class system for power plants has been replaced entirely. Keep an eye on the site for details on the new system. One thing I can tell you is that the new system allows for a much broader range of power plant technologies than the old max class system did, which is one of the main reasons we're upgrading it.
5) There will be countermeasures systems. But automated CM systems are still under discussion.
Will we all need to constantly be buying new equipment?
