  5. ****SOLD***** Looking to sell my Mustang Omega AMD Edition Package. I haven't seen one sold for over a year so I setting the price at $150 but I'm willing to negotiate. Also will to trade for other ships. I was planning on using the cash to buy something anyways.
  6. Lets get an updated thread of everyone's custom Rigs that they will be using and/are already using to play SC. Please attach a hardware list and note any future upgrades you'll be making. Probably try to limit to 2-4 pics per post to limit load time on smaller devices and tag your chipset (AMD or Intel) in the tagline. Cant wait to see what you guys are running! I've already posted this on my profile but I'll start anyway. ------ CASE -- Phanteks Enthoo Evolv PH-ES515E_GS Aluminum/Steel Galaxy Silver Window ATX Mid Tower Computer Case MoBo -- MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING R6 SIEGE LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard CPU -- i7 6700K 4.00 GHz Unlocked Quad Core Skylake RAM -- CORSAIR Vengeance LED 32GB (4 x 8GB) 3000, Cas Lat 15 CPU COOLER -- DeepCool CPU Liquid Cooler CAPTAIN 240 WHITE BOOT DRIVE -- Samsung 960 evo 500GB M.2 GPU -- MSI 1080ti FE PSU -- Corsair RMi Series RM850i MODS CABLES - CableMod custom sleeves LIGHTING- Two 12" Pure White Cold Cathode GPU- modded w/ Corsair H55 and NZXT Kraken g10 MONITOR -- Samsung UHD 4k 28" FANS – Triple Fan Mod for top of case
  7. AMD Ryzen 5 2400G CPU and Gaming Benchmarked on Livestream It appears that the Ryzen 5 2400G actually ships with the Wraith Stealth (a 65w cooler) despite being communicated that it would be shipping with a 95w cooler (Wraith Spire) (gremlich note: this seems odd)

  10. This artical from wccftech.com Do you believe? https://wccftech.com/vega-teaser-slides-leak-nda/ Sell Your Titan X & 1080 TI That’s right folks. If our sources are correct, you’re holding onto some underwhelming mid-range graphics cards that will be completely decimated by AMD’s newest architecture (at least according to the leaked slides). I am personally blown away by this new info. It’s simply unbelievable that AMD managed to spank NVIDIA so hard, with a much smaller R&D budget. Mind you, we should wait for third party reviews, but the spread this slide suggests is just massive! Check out this glorious slide featuring Vega completely decimating the competition. April fools or not thats up to you to believe.

    AMD Ryzen early benchmark

Ahoj, so we got early benchmarks for AMDs new CPU and they look pretty good. It's an early leak so take it with a grain of salt.
  12. So, Ryzen 5 will be hitting the shelves on April 11th. AMD will be offering two 6 core / 12 thread CPU's and two 4 core / 8 thread CPU's all of which are unlocked. Pricing is as follows: Ryzen 5 1600X -- (6 core / 12 thread) // @3.6 to 4.0 GHz -- $249 Ryzen 5 1600 -- (6/12) // @3.2 to 3.6 GHz -- $219 Ryzen 5 1500X -- (4/8) // @3.5 to 3.7 GHz -- $189 Ryzen 5 1400 -- (4/8) // @3.2 to 3.4 GHz -- $169 -------------------------------------------------------------- The lone performance comparison AMD provided was for the 6/12 1600X was multithreaded performance in Cinebench paired against Intel's 4/4 i5-7600k, and it performed "up to 69% better." This is an odd choice given that no one in their right mind is buying i5 chips for multithreaded performance. In any case, if the 1600X uses the same cores as the 1800X (as one would assume it does), then $249 for a 6/12 chip of this quality is hard to beat. All that's left is for AMD to solve the problem that is causing their chips to lag pretty far behind Intel in 1080p gaming performance, especially considering Ryzen 5 (and the eventual Ryzen 3) are marketed towards lighter workstations and 1080p gaming. The 1800X is as at least as good as if not better than Intel's highest end 8/16 i7-6900k in most metrics, so it doesn't make much sense that it lags so far behind in 1080p gaming performance. (It's probably nothing more than an optimization issue. The numbers simply don't make sense.) The sooner they get this sorted out, the better off all of us will be, Intel and AMD fans alike. Competition is good! Source: http://www.techspot.com/news/68519-amd-four-ryzen-5-processors-launching-april.html

  18. Globalfoundries confirmed today that they have successfully qualified the 14LPP process and delivered working 14nm product samples to AMD. Both companies confirmed via a release issued to the press today that AMD will be introducing CPU, APU and GPU products next year based on Globalfoundries’ “most advanced 14nm FinFET process technology” dubbed 14LPP. AMD confirmed that it will leverage the considerable performance, power efficiency and significant die size reduction enabled by Globalfoundries’ 14LPP process into CPUs, APUs and graphics products spanning personal computers, data centers and immersive computing devices. Lisa Su – Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. – President, CEO We successfully executed many of our near-term tactical priorities in the third quarter, while also taking several key steps as a part of our longer-term strategy to focus AMD on delivering great products, driving deeper customer relationships, and simplifying our business. Highlights include delivering strong double-digit sequential revenue growth in each of our business segments; expanding our product portfolio with the introduction of several new APUs and GPUs that improve our competitive positioning in key markets; forming the Radeon Technologies Group to bring a vertical focus to our graphics business and help strengthen our performance in traditional graphics markets, while simultaneously establishing leadership initiatives in emerging — immersive computing markets, like virtual and augmented reality. Despite the existence of three+ different iterations of GCN namely GCN 1.0 ( HD 7000 series ) , GCN 1.1 ( R9 290 series) , GCN 1.2 ( R9 285 and 380) and Fiji ( R9 Fury X, R9 Fury and R9 Nano) which is based on an updated GCN 1.2 design; according to AMD’s Chief Technology OfficerMark Papermaster there have only been two generations of GCN so far. With the next major iteration – 3rd generation – coming next year in the form of the “Arctic Islands” family of graphics chips. Arctic Islands will feature three major improvements over AMD’s current current R 300 series and Fury series line-up. These include second generation HBM, next generation GCN architecture as well as a more advanced 14/16nm FinFET manufacturing process. The three of which will define the performance and power efficiency characteristics of the Arctic Islands family. On the CPU side we’ve managed to confirm that both of AMD’s next generation high performance x86 and ARM64bit CPU cores, code named “Zen” and “K12” have also successfully completed the design phase and reached tape out and are on track for availability next year and in 2017 respectively. Only five days ago we have also heard a whisper about AMD’s hotly anticipated Zen CPU core meeting “all expectation” in testing with no “significant bottlenecks” being found. GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ 14LPP FinFET is ramping with production-ready yields and excellent model-to-hardware correlation at its Fab 8 facility in New York. In January, the early-access version of the technology (14LPE) was successfully qualified for volume production, while achieving yield targets on lead customer products. The performance-enhanced version of the technology (14LPP) was qualified in the third quarter of 2015, with the early ramp occurring in the fourth quarter of 2015 and full-scale production set for 2016. According to the joint announcement today, 14LPP is in excellent shape. With yields already hitting “production-ready” thresholds. Meaning that the only thing left for 14LPP to enter volume production is for total capacity to meet demand. Which should occur sometime in 2016 as the process continues its ramp-up, which has been kicked off in Q4 of this year. 14LPE is the early access “low power” version of the common Samsung/Globalfoudnries 14nm FinFET process. While 14LPP is the second generation, high performance variant that is set to succeed 14LPE. Despite its name, 14LPP should deliver better performance as well as lower power consumption, the only caveat being its later availability. 14nm FinFET will offer engineers nearly double transistors to play with in the same area as the current 28nm process. 14nm FinFET also has significantly faster switching speeds, which will translate to significantly higher clock speeds compared to current 28nm based GPUs. This is all in addition to the drastic power savings enabled by the smaller feature sizes and the move from planar to FinFET gates. 14LPE – Early time-to-market version with area and power benefits for mobility applications 14LPP – Enhanced version with higher performance and lower power; a full platform offering with MPW, IP enablement and wide application coverage

  21. With the fact now nearly everyone buys a new graphics card after one or three years, Who remembers the first or second ever Graphics card? I was 18 when i bought my 1st Card, Orchid Righteous 3D - 3dfx Voodoo 4MB for just £105 GBP, it was only used in 3D games, when in Windows, the 2D card was used. You could hear the mechanical relay click in when you went into a 3D game like, GTA, Carmageddon, or Jedi Knight. Of course come 2000 i was need of a serious Hardware upgrade, i built a new PC (AMD K6-2 450Mhz). I bought my second ever GPU it was the Creative Labs, Nvidia Riva TNT2 Ultra 32Mb for a mere £150 GBP . I can actually remember every GPU purchase for the past 18 years, but hey thats gaming for ya. What was the first video card you ever bought?
  22. Hello, I bought a Sapphire R9 280 from Amazon and had no idea I would be getting a game code. I thought maybe I'd sell it here for you guys (I don't really like racing games all that much too). I know I've never sold anything here before so I don't have any reviews, but I gotta start somewhere, right? My Paypal is verified too. I'm not sure what price to set it at (Steam has 26$ (on a 25% sale right now), Kinguin has it for $25 and G2A has it for $22 (from the market, $30 from their store)) but no less than $15 USD seems fair? I don't want to deal with Kinguin/G2A because they make me jump through hoops to sell codes like this. If the price is too high or something, just say so and I'll gladly change it. The buyer will be sent the code as well as a screenshot of the email to prove it is the code. * I'm just saving up for TESO since I spent all my spending money on the graphics card. I am on all day (sick) so feel free to message me to discuss it or something. I check the forum every day as well. Anyways....yea! Looking forward to my first transaction here.
