  4. Hey all, So I recently picked up a 1080ti card and boy does my game run so much better now. With that card power comes the opportunity to play in 4k. What I have gathered is I need a 4k monitor that has support for HDR and 1-4 ms of response time. I am looking for a screen that's 24-32 inches in size. Would anyone have any suggestions on monitors that fit those two criteria? Keep in mind I'd like nice colours and such....why pay hundreds/thousands to have washed out colours? Thanks!

    My new monster

As some of you may be aware, over the last 2-3 months I have been speccing out, and then building my new gaming monster. Whilst it's name is still a work in progress (if anyone has any good ideas, I would appreciate it), I have now completed it and am using it (I forgot how much of a bitch it is to setup a new PC software wise...). Without further ado, I present the Imgur album of my new PC. http://imgur.com/a/vePIx Specs: i7 6850k (OC'd to 4.4ghz) Asus Rampage 5 Edition 10 Motherboard 64gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000 DDR4 Samsung 960 Pro 1tb nvme SSD 2x Samsung 850 evo 1tb SSD Corsair AX 1500i Power Supply 2x Nvidia Titan X Pascal (2050mhz clock, 10200 Memory) Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Case: Thermaltake Core W100 (Hard to find anything that would fit my rad overkill) Cooling: EK D5 Pump PWM EK 360mm Coolstream XE Radiator EK 560mm Coolstream CE Radiator EK X-RES 250 EK FC-Titan X (Pascal) and Backplate (x2) EK Rampage V Edition 10 RGB monoblock (cools PCH and CPU and VRM) EK EKoolant UV Green PETG 16mmOD Tubing Other: EVGA HB SLI Bridge Cablemod Modflex Lime Green sleeved cables (UV reactive) Cablemod UV Magnetic Strips (4x 60cm) Firestrike Results: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/11348319 GPU temp under load hit a max of 46C, CPU hit a max of 71C. 8. Has anyone been keeping tabs on the 4K monitors out there? What can you tell me about the tech I do not already know? Maybe I should explain why I am starting this thread. This is all in anticipation for the release of Star Citizen. I have a Volair Sim (unassembled yet) and am looking to get three 32" 4K monitors for it. I do not have a tower built for this yet as I am waiting for other hardware technology releases and Star Citizen timing. With the Volair Sim, the monitors I acquire will need VESA mounting capabilities. I have been holding back from purchasing anything for now, and probably will not buy any monitors until well into 2016. I have not ruled out for 1440 resolution monitors, but those seem to be more of a fallback. Ideally, the monitors I end up purchasing would have very slim bezels as well. Have the prices been coming down yet? What about graphics cards, are there any that can truly and fully support 4K monitors? Are any reaching market in 2016 I should be watching? Any help is appreciated.
  9. Hi! I have no plans to stream, but every plan to simultaneously play and record on extreme settings. Please lend your advice on my build. Phase 1 http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/Z7xfBm Phase 2 http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/bBK7jX EDIT: I'm currently focusing on getting an external capture device that can record to a USB connected SSD in 1440p+ and I need advice.
