  1. I'm looking to offload some hardware! 1. XFX R9 290X Black OC Edition (4GB) - $100 -- The Black Edition comes overclocked and has none of the temperature issues associated with the reference 290X. I was never been able to get the card above 78 degrees C, and the card has only been lightly used. (Someone made me an offer on an R9 295x2 that I couldn't refuse. ) Performance is equivalent to that of a GTX 1060 / GTX 970. EDIT: This is a 4GB card. 2. Intel i5-6600k (Skylake) - $100 -- This was a part of the same build as the and was used very lightly. I was able to achieve a stable overclock of 4.7 GHz when paired with an ASUS Maximus VIII Hero motherboard. YMMV. I was actually able to push the chip all the way up to 4.9 GHz in testing, but it was 100% stable with a safer voltage at 4.7 GHz. Here is a link to my results using 3DMark's Fire Strike where you can see the chip pushing 4.888 GHz. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5781870 (Not sure why my GPU is marked as generic on this one). -- And a link to 4.5 GHz: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5777370 Both items come with original boxing. Shipping costs will be covered by the buyer and will ship UPS using whichever method you prefer. Verified PayPal only.

Build help Which GPU for 5760x1080?

Hello guys, first of all I never had a gaming desktop and only started doing research a couple months ago. However I am really confident with my current parts I will get, except the GPU. Now the biggest problem is that I want to run games at high or ultra with a 5760x1080 setup. The screens are already bought and won't be willing to do 4K just yet. My childhood dream was always to have 3 screens As far as I am aware right now there are four options: 1. get two 980s with 4GB as that is the most common and recommended setup, also because a single 980 is the best single gpu in the market as of right now. 2. is the sapphire x9 290x with 8GB each. Now after reading more and more, only some games will benefit far more from having more VRAM. After reading almost every thread/post on the internet I saw that most people are saying that VRAM is not important at all. However on the forums people say that VRAM is highly important, especially for 5760x1080 setup where the actual advantage of an 8GB card comes into play. 3. wait for the AMD 380, which is rumored between now and April to be released. 4. I was reading that we might actually get information about the 8 GB 980 or the titan II beginning of march, can't remember which event that was but, sorry. There are no testing results for a crossfire 290x 8GBs and only single 290x vs 980s, where the 8GB advantage isn't really clear. If someone with heaps of knowledge could please provide me with a possible answer for my dilemma here, that would be great I wouldn't waiting but not till christmas this year. Up till Mai/June would be fine but due to it being winter at that time in Australia I would love to have something to play with while staying in all the time. Money is not too much of an issue but don't want to spend more and 1K for one card. The rest of my build looks like this: (prices are in AUD) CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: RAIJINTEK TRITON BLUE 100.5 CFM Sleeve Bearing Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus Z97-DELUXE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory Storage: Intel 730 Series 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290X 8GB Vapor-X Video Card ($619.00) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290X 8GB Vapor-X Video Card ($619.00) Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe ATX Full Tower Case Power Supply: SeaSonic 1050W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Any further recommendations/suggestions are very welcome too of course Thanks for your help guys!
