  1. Greetings citizens! With the start of testing the 3.3.5 patch, we were finally given the first large planet in the game - Hurston. 6 biomes, 1/6 of the real size of Earth and, of course, the city of Lorville, which looks like one big reference to the films of the “Blade Runner” series. It was hard to resist and not make this video. I tried to complete the video with interesting angles and shots. However, please note that this is not a review of Lorville - this is just an cinematic artistic video in the style of the film. Enjoy watching! P.S. You can support me here: Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit
  2. Greetings citizens! Start 3.3 was delayed by more than a month, but finally we received an update on the Live-server (although not everyone can play because of 15006). I started to prepare this video on September 29, and this is the largest and most complex video I've ever done before - 133 gigabytes of materials will not allow me to lie. I present to you the comparison of the previous and current patches - 3.2.2 and 3.3. Enjoy watching! P.S. The time of each topic is written in main commentary on YouTube - to find the right moment was more convenient! P.P.S. You can support me here: Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit
  3. Greetings Fellow Star Citizens, Dreamers, Lovers Of Space, and Gamers. Today is my birthday and I am super excited! There's so much to look forward to in life and experience. As I was wrapping up playing in the PTU server for the night with a fellow Imperium member, I ran across a youtube video about an Eve Online War. I said screw it and watched it because I was taking a break. And I have to say honestly it scared the shit out of me. It was video regarding a war between Imperium and an alliance of players. The question that popped immediately into my head was (is this the Imperium I am in or in any way related to?). There was a lot of drama involved and some players even threatening each others lives (in real life). This so called "war" that was in an online game (let me remind you not real life) had turned so hostile and toxic that people had to get permanently banned from the game as well as having developers step in. This was all due to an entire organization was basically led by one guy who could be pretty much called a psychopath (mittiah or something)?. I am not trying to get you guys to read into this too much but I am really concerned about the future of Imperium, Star Citizen, other Organizations, and the community growing as a whole. I want Star Citizen to be a fun and inviting place, besides organizations such as Imperium. To keep our happy thoughts of space and exploring it inside pure. I hope to god that Star Citizen does not turn into EVE Online 2.0. Between the shitty ship models and the extremely toxic community, I am worried that this will somehow seep into Star Citizen when it launches. With people going to citizen con not to have a good time and enjoy the game but create petty rivalries and hate for no reason. Even though I am a young man, I have already experienced what immature. emotinally undeveloped adults are. It has to be one of the scariest things Ive ever run into (the first time being my step-father). My fear also lies into these kind of people not only showing up in the Star Citizen Community, Citizen Con, In-game, etc. But also perhaps being in Imperium? Let me be very clear I do not believe any current members resemble the toxic EVE Online community. However I fear they may end up in our organization and others that we are alliance to as Star Citizen gets more developed/closer to its release. Perhaps I am overthinking/overreacting. But I have to say, deep within my heart and soul I would be devastated if any of this kind of hate/anger/petty bullshit entered into our beloved Star Citizen Game. Whether it is between organizations or the community. I hope the developers of star citizen make sure there is no way other players can manipulate our organization, other organizations, the game, or people's ships/properties in any sort of way. I also hope that no player in our organization abuses their rights of command or manipulates our organization that would bring harm to it, our players, the game, or the community in any way. In reality this is just food for thought. But after watching that crappy video it really hit home and made me worry about what will Imperium become, what is the future of star citizen, and what will be the community? I guess it is what we make it? Please respond and let me know what you guys think because it would mean a lot to me if we could have a serious talk about this. Its legit keeping me up. Incase anyone is curious regarding the videos I watched that gave me worry, here are the following 2 links:
  4. Greetings, citizens! The last CitizenCon was very eventful. But, not every people have time to watch the every presentations, or at least the Opening Keynote, which duration is two hours. And I, by tradition, do a brief squeeze of what was on the main presentation - you can call it a trailer, or a retelling. In any case, for those who can't (or don't want) to watch the full Opening Keynote, such a format (in the dynamic “trailer” cut) will work better. Feel free to share this video with those who have not yet watched the presentation! Also, you can support me in: Citizen spotlight Spectrum Reddit P.S. The explosions make everything better. Enjoy watching!
  5. Don't mind either, we get the ships and then the rest
  6. CLOSED. Reason - I don't sign on here enough. Logged on today just to track a post down.
  7. Greetings citizens! After almost two months of absence, I finally released a new video - this time it's the MISC Prospector commercial, special for the contest by CIG. So, two my videos in a row was made a special for contests - but 3.3 is coming! Which means there will be new content in the game, which means there will be new videos from me The creation of this video was not easy, and I'm not completely sure about the final version - perhaps due to the fact that I looked it 400 times while making edits, and I already tired from it. I hope you will enjoy it. Also, you can support the post with this video in the Spectrum. Enjoy watching!
  8. I done this to my SSD with Star Citizen and it fixed the 1 FPS drops. Video: https://youtu.be/rA3lHNKWb_4?t=226 If you have windows 10, follow the guide on the video, if you have windows 7, just go into control panel, at the top right search for advanced system and click 'View advanced system settings', on the left click [Advanced System Settings]. Next click on [settings] under performance in the advanced tab. Next click on the [advanced] tab at the top, then click [Change], click your SSD drive with Star Citizen on it and click Custom Size, I have mine set to min 18000 and max 40000, multiple your ram by 1.5 on a calculator and use that as your min. This fixed my game dropping to 1 FPS and lagging in general, hope it helps! Side note: RAM is high speed. HDD and SSD are relatively slow speed. The idea of a page file is a "RAM overflow" area set aside on the HDD or SSD. This is a way of cheating some extra apparent RAM into the system but if it gets used there is a performance hit because of the slower speed of the Drive vs RAM. Suggests a sort of "right back at ya" approach, instead of putting the page file on the drive, create a virtual drive partition within RAM, and target the page file there. 'If you have 32GB of RAM, this is not needed.' Its counter intuitive because if you have that much RAM to begin with it shouldn't need to hit the page file at all. This is a way of providing it a page file anyway but at a higher speed. Pretty clever if it works right. It also saves wear and tear on the SSD which have a finite number of read/write cycles. RAM is designed to be rapidly and constantly switched. SSD is designed to tolerate it to an extent but not an infinite one.
  9. Black Star Legion Realism Organization [ Black Star Legion's Mobiglass Portal ] [ Talk to a Recruiter on Discord] [ The Black Star Legion RSI Organization Page ] [ Seeking Early Volunteer Staff Applicants for Member Services ] ======================================================================= <You see a brief message appear on your mobiglass ....> Sector 26-D | Grid Coordinates: 1309N 2633E Desert Region | Elysium Present Day It didn’t take long for them to get famous after Operation Unilateral Force (OUF) hit the wires. Earth needed a major public relations success given the rise in Vanduul attacks against the frontier systems. The 78th Squadron for example became heroes for their strikes against Vanduul targets and the public consumed it, they said enlistments in the UEE Navy and Marines rose for months after the operations went public. What UEE Public Affairs didn’t report however was the loss of an entire task force in another sector. Our mission, blockade the Centauri Sector and deploy offensively out of the Elysium System - land Marines from 3rd MEU in a Direct Action mission against several confirmed Vanduul military logistical centers across the frontier's border, conduct an HTV recovery at a known interrogation facility, hit comm-nodes and logistical nodes to divert Vanduul assets away from the main UEE engagement zones. CTF70's bulk force mission, utilize the capital ships and Marine strike assets from Combined Task Force 70 to hold the jump point, act as a blocking element of the main UEE force that deployed from Ceran during the operations main assault. Lead by the UEES Imperia Tiberius, her escorts, fighters and strategic strike platforms the CTF was fully engaged with a light reserve element holding the Elysium System. High Command; snug and warm deep in the Idris and Centauri Systems said we could expect "light contact" due to the main UEE advance ... ... It was a damn nightmare. Sector High-Command and intel got it wrong, big time. After six days, and the remainder of CTF70 flooding back into Elysium hoping for cover and protection - well UEE High Command didn't even try to mount a rescue … How did they put it? “The sector was overrun with Vanduul and congested with civilian refugee’s, Sol considered the risk unacceptable to mount a rescue. Combined Task Force 70, nicknamed Black Star Legion is an acceptable loss.” … but some of us survived. The UEE betrayed us … they left us with no cover … they abandon us. My name is 1st Lieutenant Vall Ridder. Platoon Commander, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company 1/1, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Unit - Black Star Legion. Myself, along with Lieutenant Cowski, Sgt Redfern, SirPotato, Alli, Nicoma and a few of our surviving capital ship crew, fighter pilots, supply and logistics crews and fellow Marines are looking for those wanting to break from the UEE. Be it casual civilians seeking businesses, or military survivors and veterans wanting to honor those we volunteer to serve and protect here. We ask you to join the independent city-state of Imperia Tiberius; and become citizens of Black Star Legion. ======================================================================= 2018 RECRUITING FOCUS Hello, and on behalf of our small but growing membership, we want to thank you for checking out our thread and hopefully being interested in us. This month with the FPS most likely on the horizon. We are looking for Marines! Our organization is spending the 3.0 series of launches in 2018 centering around a Constellation and her crew, a few Navy fighters and some Marines to solidify a core group of members that will launch us into 2019. We are focusing on the following key activities in 2018: SOP and TTP development to be used by both military and civilian members in coordinated and combined operations Setting up civilian city services and backend systems that will grow in 2019 with expanded membership Building a small support staff and set of staff teams that will help us in some areas we've historically be weak in to improve our performance in building a solid and long lasting organization. Taking the traditions of over 15 years as a RP, PVP, PVE, Raid, Logistics, Crafting, and City oriented guild - molding them to write our permanent future in Star Citizen. While we will accept members, our main focus is bringing in those who enjoy being apart of support staff roles typically found in most MMORPG guilds. (Recruiting, Event Staff, Art & Propaganda, Logistics, Supply, Combat and other specialists.) Steps to Success: 1. Go to our General Recruiting Information and find out more details about us and our goals. 2. Get into Discord or TeamSpeak to talk to a Recruiter and we'll help you apply 3. Submit a Membership Application 4. Attend and complete our brief New Member Indoctrination course 5. Start joining regularly scheduled activities beginning in July 2018 ======================================================================= Hello, thank you for checking us out. We are a realism organization that offers a wide range of unique experiences to both casual seeking civilian members who want to grow businesses, or those who enjoy something more structured in our milsim realism task force. We are driven by a fair and unbiased system outlined in our Master Directives Document giving every member fair and unbiased opportunity. We center ourselves around a 24 sq km group of land plots where we will build a city. Imperia Tiberius is the independant city-state that offers every member a home, anchor and port of safety as they travel the stars. We offer you a story different then most, and an experience that is unique and unparalleled in this game. We are a Star Citizen experience where everything you gain is earned by your output and your membership in a Team. A home where you look to the Aviators, Capital Ship Crews, Marines and Crewmen to your left and right every day. A home where when you log in and go to the Rum Runner Cantina in our city, you meet your friends who are farmers, business owners, outpost directors, elected senators, bounty hunters, traders, haulers, explorers, scientist, Marine Aviators, Naval Aviators - and everywhere in between to figure out the events for the day over drinks and good food. We offer a long term home, where your character can be immersed in functional systems, not contrived RP and your 'next of kin' are welcomed as descendants of your original character. When we say a unique experience, it is because we truly are. We are not doing what 95% of the rest out there do. We're not some sci-fi channel knock off of Battlestar Blackwater. We are built around tried and true methods, a policy driven chain of command, we derive how we do business from SOP's and train like we fight. This experiences comes from years of MMORPG gameplay, experiences ranging from SWG and WOW to EVE and Dayz; some of us even have time in the famed 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU) for ARMA III where "realism milsim" is at its absolute finest. We are lead by real life military veterans both active duty and DD-214 holders, as well as civlians who understand gaming and gamers. We are designed from the ground up to provide you one of the most fulfilling simulation experiences in the community - while not sacrificing fun, authenticity, attention to detail, team work, and good solid community gaming. Organization Design: The org is designed to support two basic types of game play. First being our Civilian members. The second being our realism Military component. Civilians: Low time requirements, Low overall structure, Self and group built and managed "businesses". Freedom to pursue wide activities supporting the organization, your goals, and friends with professional military protection. Combined Task Force 70 (CTF 70): Realism Milsim, slightly more time requirements, unit slotting based on the MOS you choose, professional level training. Structured Billeting (similar to raid slotting on roles), , "on-duty" / "off-duty" game time supporting the organization, your goals, and friends. Why do we do this? Why do we put in so much work and time in this organization? We wanted a very solid and scale-able infrastructure in place prior to recruiting to support growth at any level. Star Citizen is (going to be) a very complex game, each of us invests time, emotion, effort - hopes and dreams into our characters and each other. We want to give you, and this org the best we can and that each of us deserves from a game organization. You and the Team around you will enjoy being gamers, while having immersion opportunities rarely found elsewhere in the 'verse. You, and the Team around you will learn to be dependable, respectful, and respectable. You can do the same old same old with everyone else. Or you can achieve a higher level of professionalism, fun, and excellence as a civilian, military member, or periodically transfer freely between the two within Black Star Legion. We offer YOU the challenge of Black Star Legion
  10. Hello Once More @Imperium Members! This month we’ll be continuing the format from last time! In case you missed it, here is the explanation of the changes and some new information related to how Game Days will operate in the near future: We wanted to improve the experience of Game Day overall and felt that with Star Citizen in its current state just doesn’t warrant the amount of effort that we had once been able to put into it. IE. Custom Scenarios, Hype Trailers, Streaming, Competitions. Eventually that will change again and we can get back to the game that we are so anxiously awaiting. Until that time we would like to keep Game Day’s focus as a team building event that gives us a regular time each month that we can set aside to play games as an org. You’ll notice at the top of this post there is a poll with several games as options. If you plan on taking part in this Game Day, please vote for your favorite choice from this list, and those that play in the chosen game will be added into a raffle! The poll will close on this next Friday, the 25th of May. You’ll still be free to join in with anyone else that would be playing Star Citizen, so don’t worry if you don’t have any of the games in the list. If you would like to suggest game to play together as an org on future Game Day’s please leave us suggestions in this thread and we will add them to the poll for the next event. We’ll also be shortening the duration of Game Day for this month. Instead of 1600 UTC through 0400 UTC, we’ll be starting at 1800 UTC and run to 0400 UTC. Joining Game Day For those of you that want to make a return visit, or show up for the first time, you only need to enter the Landing Channel on Teamspeak (ts.starcitizenbase.com), and one of our Hosts will direct you to the action! Raffles As for most other Game Day’s, we will be providing raffles for participants that play games in Star Citizen. However, this month we will be only conducting a participation raffle, so if you join any Star Citizen games created by other Imperium members, you’ll be entered into the raffle! As mentioned above, we will also be conducting a participation raffle for the winning game from the poll. Said game will have several TS channels created for players to meet up and play together, and doing so will enter you into this second raffle as well! Since we are hosting two games at once, be sure to check in with an officer or specialist that your name was added to the raffle of the game you played in! (As much as we may pretend otherwise, our Game Day hosts are still human, and you wouldn’t want to miss out on your chance to win free stuff) The prizes for both raffles will be $10 Star Citizen gift cards, and the winners of the raffles will be PM’d in the following week to confirm their prizes. 11. Greetings citizens! Recently I have already made a video about 600i, but the CIG launched a contest for the creation of the 600i commercial video, and I decided to making one another video. You can upvote my submission in the contest post here Enjoy Watching!
  12. Greetings, citizens! By tradition, I make a comparing video with the old and the new Star Citizen patch - and now we compare 3.1 and 3.2. This time there are not so many changes, how it was in the previous patch, but they are there - something is obvious, but something is added by me because I seen it in the game. For convenience, the first comment on YouTube is a timer with a schedule, so that you can switch to interesting fragments for you. Go to YouTube and enjoy watching! P.S. as usual, a request to all those, who liked this video, to support me in Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit
  13. Greetings, citizens! I decided for a long time ago that I would make a video with Origin 600i - and now, at last, the opportunity appeared! In comparison with my last video this video is pure rest - if infinite waiting for a free platform we can call a rest The choice of music for not everyone, but it seems to me that this music perfectly suits the contemplation of this ship. I hope you will enjoy it! P.S. please, support me in Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit
  14. Hey all, Would anyone recommend a 32GB RAM while playing the game? I currently have a 16GB memory and everytime I play Star Citizen, it always takes the remainder of what's left available. By default, my system takes about 5.5GB on my RAM space. Would you guys recommend it?
  15. Greetings, citizens! Back in March, I had the idea to make a video about the chase in Star Citizen world. Back then I planned to use MISC Razor and was going to start preparing "someday". Then I won Intel Optane 900P in the screenshot contest, for which I want to thank the guys from CIG for choosing me! And also I want to thank the guys from Intel for the fact that I received my coveted prize, despite to some difficulties, which connected with the Russian customs. Included with the Optane was the code on the Sabre Raven - and I decided to start embodying the idea of a "chase"-project, but already with this ship. I think, it's better than simple "thanks" for winning on the contest And after 7 pages of the script, 27 hours of filming, lots of crashes, deaths, clashes with pirates, repeats of the same scenes over and over again, we - I and 13 other people - implemented one of the most difficult projects in my life. And I hope you like what we did. If you liked it, share this video with your friends and support me in: Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit

  17. Greetings, citizens! The wave of the 3.0-hype has ended, no one doesn't making hundreds of timelapses anymore. So, that means whitch I can finally make my own timelapse! One of my latest videos was an experiment - I tried to use focus and to achieve a Tilt-shift effect. With varied success. Since then, CIG has released patch 3.1, which has made some visual improvements of lighting and the planet generation system, as shown in my last video, and, most importantly for me - the camera sway was almost removed, which can simplify the creation of timelapse video. And since I have long wanted to make my own timelapse video, now is the better time for that. Therefore, I present you my new video! Almost 300 gigabytes of records, 31 scenes, two weeks of recording and editing, 2 hours of render. I tried to do it qualitatively and difficult - that it not to be a trash and didn't look boring. Maybe it's the Best God Damn Star Citizen Timelapse Video Ever, or maybe it's the usual middle level - it is you who must decide! Bonus: this video is made in 4K and with 60 fps - so turn on yours 4K TVs and enjoy it! P.S. If you want to support me, you can do it here: Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit
  18. Not sure anyone else here is interested, but Big JR (the guy who built the space suit locker and the Sabre model , is back with CIG sanctioned custom furniture for sale. It's worth noting (@Sub-Commander @Media Officer) that they will do org livery. Interested parties can contact Kals@jrfabrication.co.uk regarding custom colors / liveries. I reached out to them regarding the desk and suggested an end compartment for the opposite end that's a mini fridge. They are a fan of the idea. They don't currently ship outside the EU/UK but are considering delayed orders until they can fill a shipping container in order to lower shipping costs. I want this desk. https://www.jrfabrication.co.uk/
  19. jmitch42 here. pledged at base level about a year ago, but couldn't run it on my machine. got a new rig about a month ago and got it fired up. been a bit busy since then. got gifted an upgrade to a titan, then i bought a cutlass black. got a nox kue and now a cyclone as well. all have lti except the cyclone. fun times. can't wait to see where this game is going.
  20. Obviously, it becomes a tradition - every new patch I do a video with a visual comparison of the previous and current patch. In the current build, 3.1, something turned out better, and something is on the contrary worse. I tried to show the main differences, but could miss something - if you know something else, write about it in the comments. The video turned out to be longer than I planned, so I added a timecode with a timetable of events - it can be found on YouTube, the first fixed comment. Enjoy watching! P.S. 21. How did you find Star Citizen? Me: I found it when a friend spammed me like mad on Steam and said "YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS #PCMASTERRACE"... and I was like 60 million dollars... wowzers...
  22. Greetings, citizens! Today I have a special gift for all Drake ship lovers The recent Marvel film, and specifically the first trailer of this film, inspired me to make this video. You may not like this style of music and this style of editing, but I tried to make this video in such a way that it all looked organic and exciting simultaneously. And judging by the feedback of my friends, who have already watched this video, my idea was more than successful. And I hope you will like it too! If you liked this video, share it with your friends - it's good advertisement for our game. And, do not forget to put a finger/plus/arrow up in: Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit
  23. Today I've been joined by TheNOOBIFIER1337 to discuss cargo improvements, server mesh tech and more for this episode of Ask The Devs Breakdown. 24. Greetings, citizens! With the release of Star Citizen 3.0 on the YouTube began to often appear gameplay videos in the "Time lapse" style - when any landscape is recorded on video, then you speed up the result, reaching the entertaining effect of the "accelerated" picture. The sun quickly goes beyond the horizon, the sky spins at a high speed and so on. I did not do this type of video for a long time, because I thought that it would not surprise anyone at this time. However, now, when we all wait for optimization and making normal videos is very complicated, I decided to do something at least. And I had an idea to make my "Timelapse". However, not ordinary - with the effect of "Tilt Shift" - when certain edges of the picture are blurred, creating the illusion of the miniature of what is happening on the screen. However, when working with video, I ran into with the fact that because of the shaking of the camera it is not always possible to achieve this effect - therefore the video will be a bit strange and... shaking. However, some moments, nevertheless, managed to be made quite good in terms of how they "work" for a common visual style. So, I present to you my first "Timelapse" video, which is also flavored with an interesting effect, and also it in pure 4K and at 60 frames per second. I hope you will enjoy! P.S. If you liked the video, support me in: Citizen Spotlight Spectrum Reddit

As well, we understand your primary gameplay focus might include additional non-related gameplay, IE A Primary focus on Bounty Hunting and a Secondary Focus on Agriculture. Our Hot List of combat and non-combat roles in-need: Fleet Bomber Crew/Bomber Pilots, Medics, Weapons Operators(Turrets/Torps), Boarding Ship Pilots. If any of the above fits planned play-style please note when responding. We are however also non-specific currently. Interested to know more?
