game day Game Day, May 26th

Hello Once More @Imperium Members! This month we’ll be continuing the format from last time! In case you missed it, here is the explanation of the changes and some new information related to how Game Days will operate in the near future: We wanted to improve the experience of Game Day overall and felt that with Star Citizen in its current state just doesn’t warrant the amount of effort that we had once been able to put into it. IE. Custom Scenarios, Hype Trailers, Streaming, Competitions. Eventually that will change again and we can get back to the game that we are so anxiously awaiting. Until that time we would like to keep Game Day’s focus as a team building event that gives us a regular time each month that we can set aside to play games as an org. You’ll notice at the top of this post there is a poll with several games as options. If you plan on taking part in this Game Day, please vote for your favorite choice from this list, and those that play in the chosen game will be added into a raffle! The poll will close on this next Friday, the 25th of May. You’ll still be free to join in with anyone else that would be playing Star Citizen, so don’t worry if you don’t have any of the games in the list. If you would like to suggest game to play together as an org on future Game Day’s please leave us suggestions in this thread and we will add them to the poll for the next event. We’ll also be shortening the duration of Game Day for this month. Instead of 1600 UTC through 0400 UTC, we’ll be starting at 1800 UTC and run to 0400 UTC. Joining Game Day For those of you that want to make a return visit, or show up for the first time, you only need to enter the Landing Channel on Teamspeak (ts.starcitizenbase.com), and one of our Hosts will direct you to the action! Raffles As for most other Game Day’s, we will be providing raffles for participants that play games in Star Citizen. However, this month we will be only conducting a participation raffle, so if you join any Star Citizen games created by other Imperium members, you’ll be entered into the raffle! As mentioned above, we will also be conducting a participation raffle for the winning game from the poll. Said game will have several TS channels created for players to meet up and play together, and doing so will enter you into this second raffle as well! Since we are hosting two games at once, be sure to check in with an officer or specialist that your name was added to the raffle of the game you played in! (As much as we may pretend otherwise, our Game Day hosts are still human, and you wouldn’t want to miss out on your chance to win free stuff) The prizes for both raffles will be $10 Star Citizen gift cards, and the winners of the raffles will be PM’d in the following week to confirm their prizes. New to Star Citizen? Read this post for information on the game and our Game Days:

    Game Day, November 25th

Hello @Imperium Members! I would like to make an announcement regarding the next Imperium Game Day’s activities! As you may know already Patch 3.0 is (not so rapidly) approaching and it’s within the realm of possibility that the next scheduled Game Day may fall on a date where PTU is out of Evocati and semi-public. It’s reasonable to expect some sort of layered release as usual and not everyone will have access at the same time. With that said here are the contingencies for the next Game Day. Game Day for November will take place on the 25th. If 3.0 is not in a semi-public PTU or still with Evocati we will treat this month’s Game Day as a last attempt to get some practice in on our EVA, FPS, and Flight skills before 3.0. You can expect the usual, Star Marine, Flight Training, Game modes like, Zombie mode, Drunken Citizen, etc.. If 3.0 is in semi-public PTU we will be indulging the patience of those who have been foaming at the mouth for months and will prioritize playing 3.0 and streaming it for those who might not yet have access. If in some unholy change of events Chris holds an impromptu naked drunken late night stream and releases 3.0 public, we will be holding an Official 3.0 Imperium Game Day Event with lots of giveaways / Prizes. I would expect this not to happen before next month, though I will elaborate on the 3.0 Public Release Event further down. Of course, things get delayed and that is why we have plans for each option. We will learn more this coming Friday with the weekly 3.0 update and have an even better idea after the Anniversary presentation on the 24th. Previous Game Day: Would like to thank everyone who attended last Game Day! We had lots of fun! Special thanks goes out to @XLB and @Space-Moose who make a special effort to be present and provide flight training for anyone who wants to practice. It’s not everyday you get to train with the best! Winner's have until the next scheduled Game Day to accept their gift card otherwise we may send them to future winners. As mentioned in the contingency for this upcoming GameDay, we have special plans for the Public release of patch 3.0 Regardless of the date of the previous or future GameDay’s we are going to hold a special event to celebrate this long awaited patch the weekend of it’s release. Please understand that we may not be able to give much notice ahead of time but if you keep up with the CIG’s weekly updates you should have a good idea when to expect it. Of course, when we have a firm date we will post a much more flashy announcement and ping everyone via Forum/E-mail. Please keep this special event in mind and join us the weekend of the public 3.0 launch. We promise you will not be disappointed. Some of you may even leave with a new ship in your hangar! Details will be posted upon date confirmation from CIG. Standard Game Day Details Joining Game Day For those of you that want to make a return visit, or show up for the first time, you only need to enter the Landing Channel on TeamSpeak (ts.starcitizenbase.com), and one of our Hosts will direct you to the action! Game Day, March 25th

Salutations @Imperium Member! We've finally managed to clean up after the last Game Day, and we're now ready to prepare for another one! If it was the case that you missed the last one, or somehow don't know what Game Day is; then don't worry, because we streamed most of it. @Rellim and @Pegasus truly did an amazing job setting up the stream with all the technicalities and what-not. @Sharpspoonful Did a great job shoutcasting during the stream and we look forward to many more streams with his beautiful voice and face at the forefront. We would also like to give a shoutout to our amazing camera crew @Weehamster, @GRIZZ and anyone who volunteered to stream their point of view for us to use, this wouldn't be possible without ya'll. Should there be any interest in helping out during the stream with shoutcasting, streaming or on a more technical level; then don't be afraid to contact any of us event coordinators. (Bloppo or Killroy) You can also take a look at this link and fill out the stream form and we'll be sure to contact you. http://imperium-studios.tk/ On to the new stuff! These activities will also be streamed so you can show all your loved ones that you're having fun! We're sad to say that this Game Day is once again BYOB, but if you wish to change that for future events simply give money to Bloppo, he's trustworthy with your money. And as always; Joining Game Night For those of you that want to make a return visit, or show up for the first time, you only need to enter the Landing Channel on TeamSpeak (ts.starcitizenbase.com) , and one of our Hosts will direct you to the action! Game Day Volunteers

Salutations @Imperium Member! Have you ever sat, staring out your window and thought to yourself “I wish I could help the Event Coordinators with Game Day, but I’m not sure how?” Then strap yourself in, because we’re looking for more volunteers! If you are interested, sign up for one or more of the tasks presented below and we'll be getting you involved for one of the upcoming Game Days. As long as you have time to give, we’ll do our damndest to schedule in times that work for you. Game Day Host A Game Day host is there to help and guide participants towards varying activities and answer any questions that might arise during Game Day. Help inform and guide participants to either an activity that is going on currently that need more participants and/or start gathering participants to gain enough to create a new activity. Information distributed to participants will include; Briefing participants on how they can enter their names into a raffle. Workshop Channel and how it works What game modes are currently being played or most likely to be played next. What each channel represents. The timeline for Custom Scenarios channel (when active); direct participants to respective TS channel, to wait for CS Host to show up Answer any question participants have about the event or anything that current hosts may have knowledge of (example: division specific information that host may be actively involved with) If this sounds interesting and you wish to volunteer as a Game Day host then please fill out this form. If you have no idea what some of those bullet points were, then we’ll be happy to provide all the information necessary. https://goo.gl/forms/0UvN9TX76Ms76PYK2 Game Day Caster If you haven’t seen the amazing job that @Sharpspoonful did during the first Imperium Game Day stream or you need a reminder, then take a look at this: Requirements: Facecam of decent quality. Game Day Opfor As Opfor you're expected to learn the custom events provided by us event coordinators, and help us out come Game Day by acting as the opposing forces in the custom events. This is done by about 3-4 hours of dedicated training time a week before Game Day starts, at the most convenient time for everyone involved. Come Game Day you'll be scheduled for about 3-4 hours or depending on your availability to act out your role as Opfor. Sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/0UvN9TX76Ms76PYK2 Game Day Stream Cameraman When we asked Imperiums own @Trophias what he thinks makes a good cameraman he said: “Yo, join us, imperium stream, yo” - Trophias 2k17... and I couldn’t have said it better myself. Your role as a cameraman will be to make sure that the most action packed and exciting shots that you can provide are available for the Caster to commentate over, and everyone watching to enjoy. Now there are two ways of helping out here, you can simply be streaming your point of view as you’re playing, or you could volunteer as a literal Lakitu camera man flying around carefree to the rest of the world. Now either way you wish to help out it means that you will be in game broadcasting your view for the stream to use, and for this to be enjoyable to watch there are some requirements on your end: An internet connection that handles streaming in at least 720p (prioritize 1080p) Software that allows you to stream STABLE 30+ FPS If you wish to help out as a cameraman, then apply here under the Stream Tab: http://imperium-studios.tk/ If the case is that any or all of these have caught your attention then please do apply, and take this to your heart; we’re doing these events because they are meant for Imperium to have fun together, and we hope and thrive for you as a volunteer to experience the same joy whilst helping out with the event, or taking part in them yourselves.

    Game Day, February 25th

Hello @Imperium Member It's that time again, where we all gather together with those we love and compete for bragging rights! Now that February is coming to a close it's time to prepare yourselves for our monthly Game Day on the 25th (Saturday 1600 UTC - Sunday 04:00 UTC). This month we've decided to keep things simple but still slightly competitive with a series of smaller game modes and objectives for you all to participate in. This event won't be a hyper-competitive tournament like last month but expect some friendly competition due to the pickup game style. Depending on the levels of competition we have additional prizes may be awarded! We hope to see you all on Game Day and expect to have a great time!
