Well, 1080 Ti has been released and of course it was a slimmed down Titan XP ... sorry did I say scaled down? I mean it is better than a Titan XP (except for physical numbers 12 GB Vs 11 GB) for gaming at USD $699, knocking the 1080 down 200 dollars to 499. It might be 150?.

Very like the 780 Ti and then Titan, except only 1GB less of ram(but 10% faster) ,less Bus width and ROPs.
