Ragnus, you might want to look into space based themes and backgrounds or look over the ships in SC find one you like and use a shot of it against a space background. Just a couple of suggestions for the siggie portion. Sparkie The Dragon You might look into something to go with your name or call sign for the id block also.

Welcome Ragnus! Glad to have you here! Way to go Grem! Sparkie The Dragon
  3. Still want to know whatever happened to the REAL CRUCIBLE:

Anvil Aerospace Crucible – A so-called “flying toolbox,” the Crucible is the ship you want on your side when you suffer an asteroid collision or survive a pirate attack! Structurally, the Crucible consists of a cockpit, drive unit and workshop. The Crucible’s workshop is versatile: it can be used as a base for conducting EVA repairs (complete with requisite tool storage) or it can use magnetic grapplers to attach directly to a ship hull. In this situation, the workshop actually opens to space and allows a repair crew direct access to a damaged ship. The workshop can either maintain artificial gravity or allow for zero-g repair operations, depending on the needs of the mission. The Crucible’s cockpit is also outfitted with an array of repair tools, including dual purpose mounts that can exchange weapons for tractor beams and remote manipulator arms. The Crucible is also part of a larger planned repair system. For larger project, independent sections of support struts and drive units, called the Miller ERS (External Repair Structure), can be locked together to form a sort of scaffolding around a damaged starship, the next best thing to an orbital drydock. A standard ERS unit includes a small drive, thrusters, magnetic attach points and modular hardpoints for mounting tractor beams, repair tools or weapons. ERS segments each have a code defining their shape (P1 = Straight section, P2= Left turn, P3 = Right turn, etc.) with the multiple layouts allowing extensive zero-gravity construction as necessary. In the case of damaged capital ships, like the Navy’s Bengal carriers, hundreds of ERS units might be formed into a latticework serviced by a dozen or more Crucibles.

This was the ship I was waiting for!

  4. Sigh, why am I NOT surprised exploration and discovery not active until 4.0. Sparkie The Dragon
  5. Gallitin so sorry that your little one was injured, glad it wasn't worse, but definitely was more than bad enuff. I wish a speedy recovery, and as many have said we must stay vigilant the young ones don't always see the cause and effect of things and fearless cause they don't see the connection to the danger involved. 6. Hails, as far as I am aware the private server option is still alive, but I admit I haven't seen any write ups on it, I am just going by what was put out when I bought into the game it was part of my original purchase for the reason of having seen some games turn out as unplayable due to the playstyles that evolved. I prefer an option to depart from any game system that I don't care for do to the playstyles in use. Call it what you will but after investing what I have I have NO INTENTION of letting ANYONE ruin the game for me! Sparkie The Dragon
  7. Hails All, just throwing my 2 cents in. What you might consider doing is getting the modders kit like I did, I like what I see so far but things can change in the future. The modder kit is supposed to allow you to set up your own server, that way you can still play the game and do the flying around, exploration without having to deal with the PvP combat. It's just a thought but one I keep in the back of my mind, after all some of us DO NOT want the constant combat options. Sparkie The Dragon
  8. Thanks Bro, I was always sure I could count on my buds to be there when needed! Sparkie The Dragon
  9. Hails All: You can always do what I did and picked up the CCU for $0 from a Dragonfly to the Argo. I did this cause I have 2 Dragonflies and can CCU one if I find I need an Argo not sure I do but it's always nice to have options! Sparkie The Dragon
  10. Hails All: I for one DO NOT want anything to do with PVP, that said my sliders will ALWAYS be at the LOWEST possible settings! Also for the ones that do find me it is why I will be running 3 MIS and 2 Gunships in my Squadron. If your bold enuff to brave a wall of missiles backed up by a ton of fl-33s not to mention my other ships then we can Party. Afar as I'm concerned the Combat Jocks can fight each other, and after reading that most LR Explorers can expect to be on their own because they are to far away for the Combat Jocks to take the time to get there, I have redone my Squadron with the exact purpose of being without support from the outside. Sparkie The Dragon
  11. Hails Bro, it is in what your looking for, I dumped 2 MIS, a Redeemer, a Carrack, a 315P and a Delta to get the Mega Pack. I am not sure I did the right thing but the DUR, Terrapin and Aquilia are nice to have. I have been looking at picking up the Aquilia for awhile, I am not sure about keeping the DUR may burn it and recover one of the MIS or the Redeemer. I am also looking at getting a Sabre or a Vanguard to replace the Delta. Just my thoughts there but the LTI to me is ALWAYS a GOOD THING! Sparkie The Dragon
  12. Hails VOA, great topic as always! On my two cents worth, I probably will not change my pledge views over this as for me a Capital ship does not fit my desire or playstyle in the PU. In Imperium we have many who have gone to the larger ships. I think the Connie or Carrack are the largest I will go as I am an Explorer and would prefer that as my gaming career. Like I said just my two cents worth. Sparkie The Dragon
  13. Might be me but I don't see an actual list, the underlined link does not open. Sparkie The Dragon
  14. Yes many option floating out there unfortunately till the release we wont be able to confirm most. But I am happy with my choices a wall of missiles followed up by the heavy gunship and fl-33s on the lancers should give most adversaries pause and if not, as a 21st century gladiator once put it "Don't SING IT, JUST BRING IT!" smiles. Sparkie The Dragon
  15. Ahh did you miss the Starfarer Gemini in my post? That is my refueling option. Sparkie The Dragon
