  1. It's done.  Just need to to do some finish cable management, bit of nip and tucking, but for the most part it's done.  Win 10 pro up and running on my m.2 Samsung 960evo.  The desk I also built to meet the dimensions of both the Enthoo case and the 4k monitor.  All the hardware is listed in my about me section for those interested in the nitty gritty.  Already played some SC for and hour with all temps under 45c running at 4k.  IMAG1715.thumb.jpg.ff72f0086531959f626421fba49635ff.jpg

  2. All the pieces are in.  Just got my MSI 1080ti in.  Have the kraken g10 mod kit and a corsair h50 for it.  Next steps are GPU Vram heatsinks and mounting the g10, some lighting work around the case, polishing up my wiring, and getting Windows on my M.2 Samsung 960evo.  Let the Modding begin!  Should be up and running by next week.  Will post finished glam pics on my "About ME" section shortly.  I also plan on doing a build series post with pictures of the Rig during the entire process for those interested.

      Can't wait to see!

  4. The wait for the 1080ti continues to mid March 😔.  Was hoping to get my rig finished and running by early next month.  Ugh.

By then the card itself will be a year old, I would skip this card all together, Duel GTX 1070's is the better option if you are team green. as they are $400 each and beat the Titan XP in 90% of games with SLI support (all tripple A titles) and the 1080TI is rumoured to be $1000 and will have worse performance than the Titan XP.

As you can see the 1070 in SLI is the smart buy this gen for Pascal.

I think the 1080ti's took too long to come out, and their price to performance isn't worth it. Looks like AMD is catching a break this generation. If your heart is set on Team Green, then dual 1070's is the way to go.

I've run SLI and cross fire rigs in the past and found there are often problems with games not utilizing both cards appropriately.  Even though SLI 70s may benchmark better I'd rather, out of preference, stick to single card configs.  I'll wait till March then in the TI either sucks per dollar or won't be released I'll grab a top tier Vega.

  5. I can't wait for CES this year!  Show me the 1080TI already!!

yeah should be interesting... except I dont have a game that needs better GPU... maybe for the 4k screens

Yeah I have a 4k so I need some horsepower to push all those pixels.

Thanks ! I am happy with how it is coming out. I do have several cosmetic edits that I think it needs. I'm taking suggestions too, for those of you out there following the build.

Build update: Just received my RAM and M.2 960 Evo. I added some heatsinks to the SSD and on some of the Mobo's larger un-passively cooled chips. I also did some coloring on the Metal Manufacturer plates and cut out a small viewing space on my sound board for the PSU. All I need now is my custom Cables from cablemod.com and I plan on waiting for an MSI 1080 ti which should be 2-3 months.

Still working on it. Just added some Mods to the build. The white panels are airflow blockers and sound dampening white foam board. I painted the 950 SSD and the metal decals white. I have 32gb of the new Corsair LED RAM and the new 500GB 960 EVO on the way. I plan on painting the RAM shields and bought some small VRAM heaksinks for the M.2 960. The final piece will be the new 1080ti when that comes out.

This is a great video thanks for sharing the setup! You have so much hardware to manage, crazy. I am a subscriber to your channel and I never knew you were an Imperium member, what the hell?! Then again I've been gone for so long it's not surprising. Love your vids and keep them coming comrade.

What a crazy cpu cooler! Is that a micro atx mobo? Are those cables from cablemod or did you do those yourself? Love the clear pump fluid, you don't see that often. Very MISC like since we are comparing builds with Ship manufacturers. Excellent build btw !
