  1. This is the reason I also think SQ42 will not be released in 2018. I think GIC will need more time to get all the mechanics in place that are needed for both the PU and SQ42. But I really hope we'll get some good news about SQ42 this week.
  2. I have been keeping track of the development for the last 5 years and I'm surprised by the optimistic expectations of many backers. Really curious what the community thinks about this.
  3. What's the point in giving dates if they can't meet them. It will only cause more disappointment. 3.0 was originally scheduled for release at Christmas 2016. It is doubtful they will release it at Christmas this year.
  4. I have spent so much time with vanilla WoW that I'm looking forward to get more information about the release.
  5. We still have a long way ahead of us. Looking at the current state of the game, I wouldn't be surprised if GIC needs another 5 year to get the PU into Beta. I hope we don't have to wait a couple of years to get the first episode of SQ42.
  6. I'm not sure what to expect. Nobody knows what timelines we can expect for the initital release of the PU and SQ42. But I really hope it doesn't take 10+ years to get everything in the game that they promised. I mean if you are saying they will continue to add content for 10+ years then I certainly hope GIC will support the game this long. But 10 years, jeez. Not sure if I have time to play games in 10 years.
  7. True, but there are still a large number of ships in development. Why not work on those?
  8. Agree with you on this. With all the core tech still in development I was hoping GIC would focus more on this instead of working on improving visuals.
  9. As mentioned earlier GIC will use instances in the Universe. In one of the AtV''s Chris said they were hoping to get 50-100 players in a single instance. However it is uncertain what they can actually achieve with the high fidelity they are aiming for. With the different instances in the universe it doesn't matter how many people will be online. Each instance will only accomodate a limited number of players anyway. So it don't think overcrowding will be an issue. We just need to wait and see how this will work out.
  10. I like the Wild West theme for an open world. Played Red Red Redemption on the PS4 a lot and this looks pretty good.
  11. You are absolutely right @Fizzlefuse you can't simply calculate the release dates. I understand software development is very complex and even GIC is not able to deliver according to their own schedule. Like I said it is an optimistic projection based on statistics, nothing more. But I hope some people might find it useful to look ahead and maybe adjust their expectations.
  12. Like many of you I'm really looking forward to the full release of this game. Unfortunately it is taking longer then I hoped. Since we don't hear much about the progress of SQ 42 I was curious what we can expect regarding the release of the PU. Since we already know what GIC has planned for the coming releases, I wanted to figure out when we can expect the release of the coming versions. I know GIC will make the production schedule for 3.0 available soon but I wanted to look further ahead.   13. It took me around 8 hours to download, but I have to say it looks pretty damn good. The sound and the new explosion after a kill are great. Also the handling of my hornet feels a bit better. Overall it runs pretty smooth on my pc.
