  1. From reading your post, unless there is a hardware firewall blocking your traffic, you may need to contact your ISP. I'm not sure about how ISP's work in Dubai, but I would expect you could contact to see if certain information is blocked. I would also try to contact RSI support directly and let them know information about your ISP and/or location as they may know about a problem.
  2. actually could not stand the default profile to the point I didn't really want to play it anymore, (I always customize my set up's in games and lack of option is quite irritating to me) This is extremely close to what I would do, not sure if I would even have anything different. Aprreciate it sir.
  3. Nope, they keep running into development problems. Really doesn't bother me though, I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they decided to do a push for e3 instead since Pax didn't go well. Then probably running a release.
  4. That and finally got caught up in Wolf Among Us.
  5. would be more shocked if they didn't push it back, for something that should of been ready in December, to what was shown at PAX, I would expect more of a mid summer release.

  7. Quite an interesting read, though I laugh that people think large corporations will really do anything to this game. I believe CIG has saw what a fully player run market can and can't do, which is why they chose not to do it. After playing EvE online for over 7 years now, I have never been apart of an ORG (outside of the computer based ones you have to be in) and have thrived as a multi-billionaire in the game. A lot of people I have seen have actually said that it is impossible to do such a thing, that unless you are part of an organization or running areas in null the game is pointless. The problem is that people have a massive tunnel vision when it comes to EvE, that when people run null sec and prices on Jita then everyone else is screwed, which simply isn't true at all. I've done mission running, exploration, POS, Planetary Management, wormholes, null sec all alone without any support. My hopes for this game and what they are trying to do is get away from that mentality and push that the game is what you want it to be, which seems to be the point. As long as people don't tunnel vision about the game and think, well everyone says it needs to be done this way then there is no other way then we'll be fine. IMO "Meta" for a game just means, "too damn lazy to change."
  8. I would stop where your at and go to your other thread and get the Windows 8.1 iso and burn an install disc.
  9. Would do what Maverick said, the Windows install disc in repair mode can restore your MBR. Linux is fine for this, but not necessary.
  10. The Ghost is probably the only other ship I will purchase pre-launch, I love stealth tactics and it's just simply cool to look at. I'm waiting for more info on how exactly cloaking works and how the Ghost will perform overall though.
  11. Have had mine for 5 years, still works like when I bought it. It's not a heavy duty set up and it's not a HOTAS, but it works, and works well. I think it's quite a mainstay as the "first" joystick people get, and is useful as such. At the time I was going for Saitek, and after dealing with a lot of cheap crap they like to put out I got this. I would say it's the best low end stick you can get.
  12. No real issues with it, but there isn't much out there on it. If it requires occulus I will pass as i'm not really psyched about the vr system, never really jumped on the 3d or VR tech. If it can be played normally and is on PC. Then yea why not.
  13. @Zarian I made it, you can go to the signature request forum to get someone to make you one, i'm unfortunately too busy to really help out with that in a mass person sense but if you want one from me, just pm me and we can get you going.
  14. I have been looking at the Ghost as well as the main thing I like to do in EVE is stealth bombers and picking people off As good as theory crafting is, we simply don't know how well the stealth class will work in SC, I would expect a balance between the stealth and firepower, as the ship would need to hit fast and hard, otherwise it wouldn't be very effective against heavier armed ships. I am pretty much waiting until the DFM as most people have mentioned above to really see what happens with it. I would love to have the ghost sitting next to my Avenger in my hanger though, I think they will look good together.
  15. Greetings, from Colorado Springs, with the - degree temperatures we've been having sure it feels like we are already in space
  16. In EVE all my ships are named after the Cthulhu mythos characters (Cthulhu, Dagon, Cthugha etc) I will probably maintain that in SC or name my ship Event Horizon, because I simply love that movie.

Ongoing Discussion GPUs you will be using for star citizen

Have an R9 280 for when I got BF4 (the R9 290's weren't even out yet). Can run BF4 on Ultra software OC'd so I will probably maintain the same card
  18. It's a mixture of both, all joysticks have a deadzone around center position of the stick, this keeps "jittering" from happening in your game do to small movements on the stick. The software also can affect this by allowing movement to happen only when a specific amount of the stick has been moved. Typically the more you spend on a joystick the less deadzone you have. A cheaper stick may have a larger deadzone as a expensive HOTAS may have a small deadzone. In the video BF3 did have a terrible deadzone, which is why I didn't use a joystick on it. With Star Citizen it depends on the programming and if they allow a setting to modify deadzone. Also, again, depending on what stick you buy.
  19. Would love to have a Star Citizen specific HOTAS set up... unless it's Saitek... have had too many issues with them in the past. Running a Thrustmaster at the moment but if they make one, and it's good, i'd probably buy it.
  20. Back in school I liked to write things, mostly horror, and around that time Resident Evil 1 and 2 were out. I liked the Umbrella Corporation and decided to wright up something based around a similar organization called the One-X Corporation, which also dealt with virus' and such though I didn't go the zombie way. Anyways I kept the name through my GFX era with One-X Conceptions and One-X Digital Designs, focusing on contract business graphics including web design as well as photomanipulations (which I still do but usually just print out, I don't post them anymore). I typically just use it with games mixing between it and the other name I use Tetra (use this less as ever since a Zelda game people think i'm a female when I use it.) and that's about it.

    Hey There

I agree, I love the jet/space shuttle like look of it. Sleek lines and menacing at the same time can't wait to fly it around.

    Hey There

Just coming in and saying hey, submitted my application and hope to become a part of what seems to be an amazing Org. Mainly been playing EvE but have been wanting something more action oriented, and quite simply something new, can't want for the release. Have a good one.
