  1. @Silveryn Maybe, sure.... But not with Life Time Insurance
  2. I just got an M50 from reddit WITH LTI for $150, depends who you look for, there are "Ship Stores" on there that don't have M50 in the name, so search Ship or Store/s and you'll find them.
  3. I can't wait to see this update, probably months away X3 But at least I know I may be getting a slightly longer ship for my money. I agree with most of what they are doing to it with the exception of the placement of the Merlin. To anyone who has or has seen the Constellation, does it not have a lot of blank space at the back which could have been turned into a small docking bay all star ship Enterprise like XD. All in all though I'm impressed with the work, I guess this "leak" means they intend to do a brand new unveil of it and a few other ships soon enough.
  4. 1. Constellation 2. Origin 325a 3. Avenger
  5. Yeah, considering how much they've been listening to us so far, they are changing the design of two whole ships for us, it'd make no sense that they just stop XD
  6. Thanks VoA That helps a lot understanding the HUD a bit more.... It would also help if they didn't change every few weeks, We'll probably end up with our HUD's being different from all the ones we've seen so far but probably not by much as they have said creating the HUD is a great deal of work.
  7. I'd really like to get one but for now my new ivy bridge 6 core will be fine, I can see that the 8 core will destroy everything on the market, especially with overclocking! Does haswell E still use LGA 2011?
  8. I'd honestly wait until better 4K monitors are out because of the new competition between cheap screens. From what I've heard, not seen, it is better to have one good monitor than 3 and as mentioned above by Jake, the bezels can get in the way. What I can say from personal experience though is that the response time is COMPLETELY unnoticeable under 6-8ms depending on your own sight, so if you can get a better image quality at 5ms than a 2ms panel, I'd get the 5ms one. Please make sure you take note of other peoples opinion and experiences, again, Jake said the viewing angles are impressive with the drawbacks being much lower frame rates and bezels. @CyberianK EVGA is already doing 6GB 780's or do you mean 780ti's, because I was dissapointed when there was nothing about a 4 or 6gb Ti
  9. @Malefik If you have the budget I'd recommend the Asus 1440p PB278q, it's what I have. It's TN panel but I think it looks beautiful, and would recommend either BenQ or Asus for 1080p too. Monitors last a long time, so it's a good idea to invest in a good one now but it all depends
  10. @Terodius Actually due to the chip manufacturer shitstorm in Taiwan, both Nvidia and AMD next gen gpu's have been delayed by half a year from intended launch late summer, so expect nvidia 800 and amd 300 early 2015. But you're right on the CPU's, there is very little increase from gen to gen however, about 10% each year

    M50 Revealed

I think some of you are missing the point of the ship, it's a fast racer! And in the new 10 for the chairman he said the M50 had undergone a few design changes so it'll be like a formula 1 car but with the luxury or a Ferrari. So in the finished game it'll be a great little ship to get in and fly around, it ISN'T meant for fighting, so comparing it to any of the other ships is pointless.
  12. Hah, it'd be funny if this were true but apparently Nvidia are super pissed because they have to rework two years of planning in the next few months to get their new chips working on the older 28nm process XP
  13. I wouldn't wait for the next gen, the next big leap will be Nvidia's Pascal GPU in 2016 so I think I'm safe assuming my 780 ti Classified will last until then X3 I have no idea what AMD are doing and I honestly don't care as long as they give Nvidia strong competition to move forward
  14. So... The next generation of Nvidia, and by extension AMD, have been delayed by at least half a year if not until January 2015 because TSMC who manufacture their GPU wafers has had problems with the 20nm manufacture process. What's happened is that Maxwell cards have to be reworked meaning anyone who wanted to wait until the next gen of Nvidia or the next AMD cards came out is going to have to wait even longer. http://www.techspot.com/news/56481-20nm-gpus-unlikely-in-2014-due-to-tsmc-issues.html What do you guys think?
  15. @Spirius I guess you're right, although it's still down to CIG to either create the tools for Hardware developers to tap into the game or at least make player feedback available for 3rd party hardware to read...... So yeah, if hardware manufacturers jump on SC anything is possible The full consumer version of Oculus Rift should be out WITHIN the next year.. I hope.. And Oculus has already said they are going to be doing resolutions of either 1440 or 1600 followed soon by a 4K one when they find a screen manufacturer who will work with them, so maybe this time next year there will be a developer version at 1600p Lastly, I'd save your money for either Saitek's X-55 or TM's Warthog, I mean no offense to X-52 users but it just doesn't stand up to or against them, the X-52 is great, better than a lot of other HOTAS systems, but not as good as the higher priced options, obviously X3
