  1. We can be pretty sure that the "Small refinery ship" from the 4 concept ships makes an appearance - but I wouldn't be too hung up on it being an "Argo RAFT". After all, they did mention that it was a MISCtery ship (timestamped video below). In fact, the rough silhouette in the blur looks a lot like the middle image in the 4 column.
  2. Normally I would add stuff like game crashes etc., but with it all being pre-recorded a lot of that will probs be missing. Lets go with twitch stream crash = finish drink - in the past with pre-recorded stuff they've still had stream issues.
  3. The preso starts at 3PM UTC on October 9. Chris is up first with the keynote, and that usually has the big speech. The rest will probably immediately follow (I'm just going to watch the youtube uploads after for these). https://robertsspaceindustries.com/citizencon Schedule is here (no times yet). Fair warning, a really loud video starts playing when you first load it.
  4. I would love to pick New Babbage because it is my fav, but half the ships I have can't even jump out of there. So probs will have to be Lorville out of pure practicality right now.
  5. Honestly, I don't mind elite players coming at all. In fact been enjoying Kate's videos from a new player perspective. I just hope they come in realising that a) it's an alpha still (bugs to be expected), and b) it's not elite, so don't try to make it become elite. More the merrier otherwise.
  6. I named nothing because I replaced my OC ships with a Completionist pack.... Even the 600i Executive doesn't have naming (Legatus reward) despite being impossible to get before April 27, 2020. Thank goodness I still kept my original WB 600i with name reservation so I've been squatting my executive name for years. How dare I give CIG more money 😕
  7. Nothing that I know of. Impossible to CCU from these ships to another. My guess is they just populated the list with them at one point. Idris K is just a standalone pack, not a CCU, so it isn't in the upgrades page anyways.
  8. Correct provided it was bought 100% with cash. Doesn't work. Gifting is tied to the base pledge. So if you have a giftable aurora, you could apply all the credit CCUs in the world and it will remain giftable. Likewise, if you have a non-giftable aurora you can apply all the cash CCUs in the world and it remains non-giftable. Generally when it becomes flyable. Although some ships (see Idris, Merchantman as examples) have increased during development. Typically the price hierarchy is first ever concept sale < concept sales < in development < flyable. Although CIG want to move away from concept sales. Nope. Any ship that is hull limited (sold in limited quantities) is traditionally not available for CCU. This rules out ships like the Pioneer,, Polaris, Kraken, Idris, Javelin. CIG have been known sometimes to make exceptions for a special sale (see the Polaris at IAE this year), but this is the exception not the rule. Apart from the Polaris at the last IAE, none of the ships I just mentioned have ever been available for CCU. If you see quantity limited here, it's typically not available for CCU* (* - Some things like the Kraken-> KRaken Privateer and the Idris K Upgrade Kit are available, but require the base hull that cannot be CCU'd to to begin with). Not saying they will never appear as the Polaris clearly just did, but don't bank on it.
  9. 1. Yes. That FAQ is specifically referring to each pledge can only be gifted once. For example, if you gift the C2 CCU to that account, that account CANNOT gift that CCU further. From that article: "This is counted as once per pledge, not once per account." 2. Yes; however the funds will be locked to that account. If you get anything with credit, it cannot be gifted (there is a way to transfer credit, but it involves using the credit to CCU a fresh aurora. Gift status is tied to the base pledge). 3. Yes provided 100% of the cost is cash; however CCUs in buyback change price. So it's exactly the same as if you buy the CCU in the store at the next sale. If the C2 goes up by $20 when it comes out in 3.13, then the price of your CCU in buyback will also increase. If you want to keep the cheaper price, it is best you don't melt a CCU. 4. Not sure. Bomb functionality is not scheduled until later this year with 3.15 and the A2 is coming with that. As the new roadmap pulls directly from their Jira, I'm more inclined to believe that is still the case. As I mentioned in point 3 though, the CCU price in buyback could change so if you're even thinking about it now might be the best time to buyback before it goes up.
  10. I can hook you up with buyback in 24 hours at cost? (Just bought it back in case you say yes - I need the credit anyways ). $5 is the cost price.
  11. Also you need to make sure you have the right size laser. Size 1 for the Prospector, Size 2 for the Mole (This got me the first time).
  12. Hmm... ok. The CCU was there for me a week or so ago. Maybe my cache was just bugged. 😮 Didn't realise there was still an LTI game pack.
  13. @Danakar Endeel CIG must have seen this post. Nomad CCU is now gone it looks like.
  14. This is one of the first games I've played where the difference between an SSD and a HDD is EXTREMELY noticeable. If you're looking at a relatively cheap way to increase your performance in game and know how to install a new drive, you can pick up a decent SATA 500GB SSD (more than enough for now if you want a dedicated SC drive) for well under $100 USD: (Just an example, not a recommendation) https://www.newegg.com/samsung-860-evo-series-500gb/p/N82E16820147674. This will dramatically improve load times as well as in-game performance for streaming in and out content.
  15. Not even added to our hangars on the website yet, so not surprised it isn't in yet. As to the Legatus pack, they offer "upgrades" to people who have it each year with all the ships released that year (I don't have the pack, but know someone who does). OG Digital Completionist is still one of the best value/$$ you could've got now with all the old ship price increases.
  16. For sure. Expect it to line up by manufacturer with the free fly at the expo. https://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/17360-IAE-2949-Free-Fly-Jaxs-Picks
  17. Honestly, I hope they DON'T Remove hover mode. I love it myself. However, it there should be multiple "toggleable" hover modes. Also, useful tip: hold X to lock your hover vertically. Perhaps this is what should be the toggle. Simple physics says this is mostly working as intended as the thrust vector should always be aligned to run through the centre of gravity in order to prevent pitching and other control moments. You want things to go straight unless another action is performed on them. If this is not the case, design decisions and computer systems need to be able to work around this. Computers and fly-by-wire systems should allow for this toggle feature, as modern systems can somewhat handle these types of situations. A perfect example of this is to create an asymmetrical rocket in KSP with SAS and RCS enabled. The result is the RCS thrusters are firing to continuously to counter these pitching moments. In the game world, tipping the ship will mean that the thrust vectors on fixed mounts are now angled, and not pointing in a straight axis because they maintain alignment with the centre of gravity. CIG rather than removing the current implementation (which I rather enjoy) should instead focus on adding alternative hover modes (for example fixed hover) where manoeuvring thrusters in other areas are computer controlled and allow ships to hover in alternative orientations by countering lateral vectors. This however should also take into account that the strongest thrusters aside from the rear thrusters would be structurally located on the underside as they would get more use on planetary excursions, and therefore tipping over should be a possibility. See these examples, In the first I will illustrate the current system, and in the second a potential future alternative mode. In the current system when a ship is perfectly horizontally aligned, the overall thrust vector points directly through the centre of mass and results in a vertical movement; however, when the ship tilts forward, that vector continues to align in the same ship axis and results in both a vertical as well as horizontal movement. In a hypothetical "alternative hover" mode, this horizontal movement would be addressed. As you can see in this mode, the forward facing thruster is firing (despite being weaker) to counter the horizontal movement from the underside thrusters. As a consequence, it also provides its own vertical movement. The additive result is that the ship continues to move straight up/down despite being tilted. As mentioned, if the ship tilts too far the thrusters should no longer be able to support the vehicle and result in potential control instabilities. Also note, that this alternative mode should use more manoeuvring fuel (if implemented) as more thrusters are firing at a given time. Hope this makes sense.
  18. Legatus has had a badge since the new concierge program launched over a year ago. Been wearing it proudly since Also Completionist still exists, but just hasn't been updated. My guess is they might consider replacing it at some point, as 15k was a completionist but now even Legatus isn't a true completionist.
  19. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/17153-Anvil-Ballista As an FYI, the dunestalker (desert) skin is a Chairmans club exclusive.
  20. Yep. Accessible on the right hand side in the main Area 18 square building (the one with the giant hologram person)

1 word: Security. LTI despite being 3 meaningless letters, tells me that I will ALWAYS be able to get my weapons/ships/etc. in the game, provided it is still operating. It is essentially a guarantee that what I spent REAL MONEY on cannot be "lost." This is why I care about LTI. I'm not going to lose any sleep over this (as it is a game), but I would prefer it actually having LTI (Currently only things I have without LTI are the AMD Omega and Intel Sabre). Honestly, if it weren't for LTI I would have a Constellation and/or Freelancer tops.
  22. Calling it now, 3850x has a 50 because it is the 50th anniversary of AMD on 1 May next year (this is their 8086k). Exciting times. If I didn't have what was a decent rig 2 yrs ago (6 core, 12 thread), I'd consider this. 7nm is hopefully gonna be awesome!
  23. Or you can shortcut - F11 opens the comms tab straight away without having to go into any menus in the mobiglas
  24. It didn't fit. More than half of it is cut off vertically (just above hangar doors and below), and on all sides only the area inside this red box fits.
