Introduction
Fidelitas usque ad mortem!, “Loyalty until death!”
The front line fleet. The first responders. Retreat is never an option. Causing hell is what we do. TRG Gaming was founded on May 20th, 2003 and was one of the premier Terran outfits in Planetside, having now expanded to become a multi-game community. TRG is a mature, Age 18+, highly structured "Shock and Awe" outfit well known for rapid response teams, hyper-aggressive heavy assaults, and incredibly devoted support players. We operate with the intensity, focus and cohesiveness of a very tight-knit group of life-long gamers. We attribute this to having been around for over a decade and having a core group of leadership that has grown and learned with our community. TRG focuses on a fun, stress free, environment while promoting individual thinking, freedom of choice, and culturing leadership. As a community we are joining Star Citizen with the same attitude and play style that we have in Planetside 2.

Our Current Status
Prior to alpha 3.3, TRG had not been very active in Star Citizen, due to the difficulty in organizing events or finding meaningful gameplay that could be approached by larger numbers of members. However, with the performance improvements coming with 3.3 live and beyond, we are now actively running periodic events including dogfight tournies, fleet vs fleet (sometimes in combination with other friendly organizations), racing, and general get-togethers. Starting from our core tight-knit group of veterans, we intend on continuously focusing on creating fun and interesting events for org members, and being a community of like-minded, mature gamers.
Though many of our members are on North American time zones, we are also actively and *strongly interested in* recruiting players in Oceanic time zones. We have a strong core base of members there and are looking to expand to a large enough player count to support running our fleets during oceanic evenings.
Our Style of Gameplay
TRG emphasizes skill and intelligence from its members, and relies on that far more than sheer numbers to claim victory. This is unlike many organizations where members are nothing more than warm bodies to be thrown at objectives. This strategy has bred loyalty and respect amongst our members, and has helped us become not only better gamers, but also create a better community. In TRG, you aren’t just a number, you’re a member.
TRG has a strong history of allowing even its lowest ranking, newest members to make on-the-fly tactical decisions, and we have been successful because we attract and retain smart, mature players who can be trusted to support the organization. As a result, TRG operates in a sort of “Organized Chaos” method, with command level strategic decisions made and direction given, then allowing the individuals to carry out the mission, take an objective or get to a rendezvous point of their own accord. This is also a major reason why we have an age restriction and a focus on maturity and respect in our gaming.
While “Organized Chaos” will work well in most situations, it is not lost on TRG leadership that in-game mechanics and greater strategic missions will require much more coordination, not the least of which is the fact that up to 6-10 players will be on a single ship even in smaller operations, and that number of crew could go much, much higher. Because of this, there are more rigid roles assigned to those who volunteer to be in that position. Compared with other games TRG is involved in, this creates a noticeable chain of command and identifiable leadership, though we still focus as much as possible on allowing our members to play the way they want to.
Our Structure
TRG in Star Citizen is composed of three major divisions, each focusing on one general type of gameplay, to allow members to specialize in what they do and be recognized for it. Members from different divisions may freely assist with operations regardless of their division, though they may have some unique responsibilities given to them based on what division they are a member of.
Military Division (STRATCOM)
“Speak softly and carry a big stick.”
-Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States
TRG’s Military Division is our “big stick”, which will be used to support and provide opportunity for ECOM and LOGCOM. The Military Division will also be a political tool, used as a position of strength and able to deliver on threats, as well as to support alliances, enforce trade agreements, and police friendly space. Those in the military division usually focus on running offensive operations, daily "raids" and organized fleet operations.
Economics and Commerce Division (ECOM)
The ECOM division’s mission is to develop industry and create profit to support TRG’s ultimate goal of become a dominant player in the persistent universe. Members of this division are focused on resource collection (including mining, refining, etc..), trade (both in-game and out), and asset acquisition of all sorts. Much of the gameplay ECOM is involved in is shared in part by LOGCOM.
Logistics Command (LOGCOM)
Logcom is the glue that holds everything together. From exploration and mapping of new areas, to maintenance and damage control, logcom is for those that enjoy playing supporting roles alongside their comrades. LOGCOM works closely with ECOM and STRATCOM to achieve objectives and is critical to making organized fleet operations possible.
