  1. I read the Comm Links from CIG from waaaay back when in 2011-2013. Fact 1: The $6 million pledge from CIG was the game would start with 100 systems on launch. Below is the link: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/12811-55-Million-On-To-The-Stars Fun Relevant Fact 2: Chris Roberts also stated in another interview around the same period, and in response to concerns that more and more money with more and more CIG pledges- well wouldn't that in turn only delay the game further, etc. The exact interview topic was: In an exclusive interview, Chris Roberts clarified how the money raised would be used to develop Star Citizen and he defused concerns that more money means more features which means longer development cycles and the dreaded launch delays. CR's response was: Chris went on to say that the game is still scheduled to come out in 2015. So in a nutshell, CR said "No". That he would not allow it to be delayed further, and that with increases in the scope and scale of the game would also come increases in the number of people working on the project to keep on schedule so that CIG would work on the project in more depth. Also must be mindful that this all occurred back in the day when SC was originally projected to launch in 2 years, sometime in 2014. Below is the link: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/13433-Press-Roundup Fact 3: It's now 2017 and CR was recently quoted in an interview that the game will launch with 5-10 systems. My take on this? If they launch the game with 5-10 systems VERY SOON (like THIS YEAR) and provide regular and FREE updates with more systems every couple months then that is better than waiting until 2025 with 100 systems on launch. I guess we could call it my pragmatic opinion. It's not a perfect world, but we do want CR to make an awesome fantasy universe for us :-) So.... I think we as a community might want to start applying some friendly pressure on getting us a game we can play this year (launched with a PU), otherwise too much understanding and too much patience on our parts may result in a 2020+ launch date :-( IMHO that is what I fear the most and what would kind of kill my trust in CR/CIG. Just my 2 cents :-)
  2. I am interested. If my friends above have decided not to purchase this please let me know. One important question I have is- Will the associated E-mail address be coming with the RSI Account? -Uth
  3. Hello All! I was trying to help guide a new member to join Imperium and gave him this link: http://www.imperium.sc/ At which point one can click the JOIN US link and is sent to the following link http://www.imperium.sc/join-us/ He scrolled down and clicked on the bottom "JOIN US" button (literally at the bottom of the page) and all it did was reroute him to the top of the same page. I think the hyperlink needs to be fixed so it brings the player to the Star Citizen base so they can register there and accomplish the test, right? There is also a link HOW TO JOIN on the same page. Which is what one needs to click. However the second "JOIN US" button on the bottom of the JOIN US page should probably be removed.
  4. Albion Online just launched a few days ago. It seems to be a pretty cool MMORPG sandbox game. I and a few friends have been playing it since launch so if anyone wants to get a leg up starting let me know and I'll help you out. We already created a guild, Imperium Crusaders, and have a level 4 guild island. If you start the game, travel to Forest Cross and make your start there as our Guild Island is accessible from Lymhurst. Hope to see you fellas out there :-) In case you are wondering, Albion Online is pretty much Ultima Online with MUCH better graphics and of course lots of changes. Maybe one way way of describing it is Ultime Online meets Settler of Catan :-)
  5. Oh hell yeah, life would not be the same without Mr Awesome!
  6. Hi Everyone! I figured out a way to get both a Gladius (w 6 MI) and a Dragonfly with only a small investment of $25. You also get a few other cool rewards along the way. I tested it out myself and it worked like a charm. So how? By using the Referral program AND the 2017 Referral Contest concurrently- between now and Aug 8th it is possible to reap the rewards of both. After this contest is up then it is still worth it just for the Gladius imo, since it is a $125 ship atm. Exactly how? That is up to you. The goal is to earn 10 Referral Points (RP) linked to your account. I used Bing Ads, set up an account with the online chat. Refused to put any money on it until AFTER I got the $100 coupon for new accounts (had to wait like 2 days for that), then I prepaid $25. My ad on Bing has run 17 days now, and I have 58 prospects and 14 recruits. I have spent $90 of my total $125 ad money so I am hopeful that I will get to Lt in the referral program (25 RP) before that amount dwindles to zero and I let it go idle. If someone is interested in doing the same I think it is a good bet and I would not mind helping you out in setting up the account and the ad. From experience I think using Google ads is not worth it (they charge too much per click and per impression while Bing only charges per click), however Google and Bing are running similar ad coupons for new accounts. What exactly can you get doing this now? You can check the status of the referral program and your referral code by going to YOUR RSI ACCOUNT and clicking REFERRAL PROGRAM (the Referral Contest link is embedded on the REFERRAL PROGRAM page) Below is the list from the RSI Referral Program webpage and below that is the list of rewards from the 2017 Referral Contest. Referral Rewards 2017 Referral Contest Rewards So if you like hangar flair and a Gladius short range patrol fighter/Dragonfly ship set then I think this is about the best deal out there right now- plus you promote Star Citizen which shouldn't hurt either :-) You can check the status of the referral program and find your referral code by going to your MY RSI > MY ACCOUNT > REFERRAL PROGRAM (the Referral Contest link is embedded in the RANKING LADDER page) Wish all you fellow Imperials (Imperiumals? haha) [orgmates in Imperium!] the best! -Uthrac This Post has been improved and edited by the Switchmeister (thx Switch! lol) VERY IMPORTANT EDIT as of 2017-07-06 I just discovered that one must ACTIVELY ENROLL in the 2017 Referral Contest. From your My RSI > My Account > Referral Program > Ranking Ladder > 2017 Referral Contest page you must then select "Enter Contest" and agree to the terms! This was poorly thought out by RSI to say the least, as most people I know also failed to find this and, like myself, assumed that the Referral Program is automatic, so the Referral contest would also be automatic. I have submitted a customer service request on this issue and am hoping CIG will have the decency to automate enrollment. Until then it would be wise to go to the page and Enter the Contest ASAP.
  7. I would like to buy that Polaris off you :-)
  8. When I receive my "Price" do I have to pay it...? I love how winning something these days always costs something hahahaha
