  1. If you have a credit card or paypal tied to the account, I would keep an eye on it to make sure no fraudulent purchases are made. I don't have personal experience with an account being hacked, but from what I've read in the past, Valve isn't great about returning items that were transferred away from the account. I've also read that if they make a fraudulent purchase, and you issue a charge back, then they might lock the account from purchasing/multiplayer. All anecdotal though, so take that with a grain of salt.
  2. Congrats on the 1000th post! Might as well count me in.
  3. That would be my bad then. Glad you found a better price.
  4. I edited the tag on your post to read 'WTB' instead of 'Complete', as I assumed the transaction wasn't completed immediately after posting. Please indicate if this is incorrect.
  5. For an extra measure, I use an anti-static wristband when working on my PC. Basically grounds your body to your tower, which is a good measure for someone like myself who often forgets to discharge static electricity while moving around and working on my PC. I would also recommend getting a simple PC toolkit, if you don't have one already. Something like this. You probably won't need most of the stuff in it, but it's relatively inexpensive, and I use most of my stuff pretty often.
  6. It would be cool if this is source 2. I'll believe that HL3 is coming when I actually have it in my steam library. Too many rumors over the years for me to get my hopes up at this point.
  7. Thread violates Rule 4 of Marketplace, which prohibits price checks. Locking thread. If you have any questions please feel free to pm me.
  8. Please remember that thread crapping, including issues with the price, is not permitted. All offending posts have been removed.
  9. You're right that this could be someone with your account info testing the waters by sending a small package. Cancelling your credit card was a good move. I'd also check your paypal, ebay and amazon accounts to see if you see anything weird. I'd also change your passwords on those accounts, as well as the associated emails.
  10. Phew, one of them went through. Nice.
  11. Man, this order has been 'placing' for about 6 minutes.
  12. Welp, hope I can manage to snag one in the 4pm PST lot. I predict lots of pressing of F5 waiting for the sale to begin.
