  1. What a fantastic stream 10 hours of deliciousness!
  2. With so many gameplay additions being realistically added this year you picked a great time to get a new rig. Welcome to the base!
  3. Welcome! Always great to see another former UO player. Used to play on great lakes shard.
  4. is that the reclaimers's claw? Man this ship is gonna be fun to see chopping up bits of scrap.
  5. I've got the video que'd up to the exact spot where he discusses the crew stations while salvaging. References the pilot, the claw operator, tractor beam operator's (It sounds like he's referencing it as a title and not as something that is plural, plus if you pause where they show the station there are two handles maybe for either tractor beam), then 2 drone operators, a couple of turret locations as well as scanner locations. So it sounds like they understand that you will need to be kinda trading off roles. And given that these other roles are in a separate location id bargen that 3 of your members are on the deck while doing salvage and those other 2 are trading off between drones, turrets and scanning on that separate deck.

I look forward to being able to drop by for a pitcher after a lucrative run. It will be very interesting to see what defenses are going to be like, auto cannons that defend while your logged off may not be out of the question. I'm hoping they follow other games like EvE online where bases aren't destroyed in a day but will enter a defensive mode so that you can respond at a time of your choosing ahead of time. 7. A nice update video @Danakar Endeel, short but to point. I hope they can get it dismissed Crytek clearly not happy that lumberyard is involved but it's what CIG needs to get a good game out.
  8. You don't clean up after yourselves??? That is a 50 dkp minus! hahaha
  9. Love that the captain gets his/hers own quarters which is a real nice touch. But yes it seems that industry maybe has more roles than players in which case the trade off and hectic nature of these ships should be awesome!
  10. Short video that shows just what your able to do with a duel stick. Really makes me look forward to racing for leisure in the game.
  11. I could see having a few extra's as well. Its interesting that they say max players is 5 but the reclaimer is so large and has so many stations that I feel 5 is recommended more than it is the maximum.
  12. I'm curious to see what prevailing tactics will exist on the part of the pirates. Will they rely on suicide ganks in higher security space maybe scouts that prevent your escape till the main fleet arrives? And just how long will an industry ship be able to last in a fight, so does backup need to be seconds away or can it be minutes away (standing army vs reserves)? When it came to eve the group I was in we would run mining without an escort as long as the system was considered clear. Which was done through Intel from surrounding systems that linked to ours. Just so much game design that hasn't been announced, to my knowledge, so the picture isn't yet clear. So I have two theories of how CIG could shape mining operations: 1. If mining operations have some tanky-ness. They operate without a physically present escort. But assistance will need to be minutes away to support an escape. 2. If mining ships are weak or easily taken over, then a fighter fleet presence makes sense. Physically present force to deter. Aligned to home, very jumpy miners that run to port when the deterring force isn't seen as enough. Also it appears the Orion has a turret so I wouldn't be surprised if a large enough fleet had some kind of herd safety when it came to facing a small group of pirates.
  13. I think defiantly the bulk materials will be automated through that shredding room. The real interesting thing that I hope happens is separating out "valuable scrap" from bulk metals. My idea for doing this is the claw operator will be tearing apart pieces of debris and feeding the bulk to an input to that shredding room. Simultaneously the drones fly around grabbing what the claw operator is sorting in space and with more precision removing valuable components from scrap. I think this would increase the need for having a full crew and a feeling of skill being rewarded. As drone pilots can potentially recover components earning more profit then simply shredding everything in sight. I also love the idea of the claw operator having to avoid hurting the drones and doing a sort of orchestrated dance maximizing the ships time and profits. Does anyone else like this idea or find it do able for CIG?
  14. Hello! I did the basic Mustang Alpha AC Starter I spent a long time mulling over the idea of dropping hundreds of dollars (The Reclaimer almost had me!) but ended up deciding that this game will be something I would much rather spend the money on equipment for a more long term experience. I look forward to the new Saitek Star Citizen equipment that their putting out! Overall as far as game play excitement I wanna play with the biggest but still well organized group, as group play has always been the best way to play MMO games in my opinion, I have my eyes on Imperium and am happy to be jumping onto the Star Citizen band wagon since eyeing it a few months after the kick starter finished. There is a lot to be excited about and I am happy to be joining a forum community to share in the excitement!
