I really wish we had more information on this. I honestly thought for a good while that the jump points would be similar to Tradewars / Blocknova traders. Where jumping to one point gives you options for other points, this keeps branching out and is semi interlocking since there is a vast number of combinations. However, some are just plain dead ends.
I do not want Star Citizen to be a spreadsheet game, however, it would be nice if it required some sort of in game logging with your ship (numbers / sectors you had to manually put in to your ships computer). If I recall correctly in tradewars you could scan the other jump points to see whats there (better scanners would show more).
There would always be cloaked ships or other things you could not predict but at least you could see mines/defenses along with what resources might be there for the taking.
With that said it would be interesting if there were jump points which would work like previously mentioned and then worm holes which offered some sort of high risk / reward for entering.
