  1. EDIT 28 June 2023: Wow, this one has blown up after being shared around by Pipeline. I want to make a couple of comments regarding the info below. Remember, these are things from my memory / impressions and condensing information, so there might be some inaccuracies. I've tried to be as accurate as possible and will edit if something was incorrect. Video has been uploaded, I will add / edit accordingly. All additions or edits will be made in BLUE. Apologies for inaccuracies in the first version. Ok, so there was a lot of information given out in the Bar Citizen in HK event. Some of it was stuff that everyone already knew, but some of it was new information or less known information. I'll try to make notes from what I remember and @JosephWcan maybe add in things I might've forgotten. - SQ42 being removed from the store is NOT and indicator of anything remotely imminent regarding SQ42 releasing. There wasn't a denial of anything SQ42 coming out (like previews or some kind of early access/vertical slice) but it was clear that they're not expecting it to come out this year. - CIG is really excited to see how Starfield performs and they don't see any real issue with "competition". - 3.2 wipe will likely happen ONLY if there have been fixes to the duplication mechanics that have been plaguing the game. Wiping without removing the dupe bugs is pointless in their opinion. (but they will wipe whenever they feel like it's appropriate) They prefer to get away from wipes in general unless there's a reason for them. - CIG is aware of most duping bugs and are trying to squash them. CIG was also aware of some salvage bugs, but the staff that heard about the "infinite salvage bug with a single Reclaimer" were unaware of that specific bug. - Hull-C coming out will give them a lot of good information on how bigger ships will impact the server performance in the game, but there is a low likelihood of any big ships coming out after 3.2 this year. HOWEVER there was a statement made in passing about "...wishing to see something big like the Pioneer coming out this year..." and the comment was made "You really should come to Citizencon this year, I think you'd be happy." - Each dev has their own favourite manufacturer/ship type, but the only Drake-o-phile there was Todd Papy. Erin Roberts loves the Tali "For reasons that will become very clear when Squadron comes out." - Ship designs are going to follow "Old and new" styles from the same manufacturer. As such, ships like the MISC Freelancer (old MISC) will likely not see an upgrade to the aesthetic of the Hull-A (New MISC). - AI crew/blades for simple tasks like mining/salvage will not likely be in game until there is more stability otherwise the higher server loads will end up negating their ability to do basic tasks (i.e. when all the AI on a server just freezes in place). - The Reclaimer's elevator is unique and is the only type in the game, so whenever there are updates to elevators in the game, it tends to break the Reclaimer's elevator. They know it's a problem and they know the other problems with the Reclaimer, but they can only do so much while they're also changing aspects of the game. - Salvage mechanics for breaking bigger pieces into smaller pieces are still being thought up, and haven't been pushed past concept ideas. In addition, ONLY ships that have been created with the physicalized components systems can be soft-deathed and have their components removed. Older ships that don't have the ability to remove the components manually don't actually HAVE the physical component integrated into the ship, just a placeholder "skin". - AI Systems like ChatGPT won't be used to supplement things in the game because of proprietary reasons. - When base building comes into the game, it will be something more akin to Fallout 4's pre-fab house system, not something where you can create a base building panel by panel. Base building is VERY important to CIG because they want to have people creating bases and whatnot, but it won't be coming out until likely around Nyx. Pyro was asked about for Base Building and the response was a resounding "nope". - Different systems, when they come out, will have different themes and CIG will expect that the way that each system looks and acts will reflect both the theme of the system as well as when it was created. The expectation is that Stanton will feel "old and safe" compared to the "harsh and dangerous" Pyro, while Nyx will be more "off-grid homesteader" themed (which implies heavily that base building will be seen when Nyx comes out). - Pyro still needs server meshing (as has been said in many videos) - Smaller side-missions will be given at some point once there's more stability and meshing. - Eventually, UGF missions could have multiple parts, including where you need to first destroy air assets before going into a bunker on the ground and secure stuff, with also reinforcements coming to try to relieve their colleagues. No time frame on implementation, though. - Art aesthetics for different cities, especially human cities, are inspired by their in-game lore, with a lot of tie-ins to sections of current-day Earth. HK was specifically mentioned for making A18 and Lorville alleyways and advertisements. However, as Alien lore and aesthetics get built out, we'll see some amazing Alien architecture. - When asked about why they don't release specific systems and allow people to navigate either by a menu or a loading screen, the response was simply "That's not how we want to do it, we want to get the server meshing thing figured out so we can start rolling in new systems." When followup asked about "how many systems" the response was "Well, we want to have Pyro and Nyx in as soon as possible, but we haven't built too much of other systems yet." - Land beacons that are owned can be sold in-game or the land that the beacon claimed can be sold, but players are not able to "claim land" themselves and sell it "officially" to others, as the only types of land claims that are recognized come from governing authorities (i.e. UEE). - There will NOT be "player ownership" of stations in-game. Players and groups can "control" stations if they have people on them and block people from entering them, but the idea of owning them (i.e. POS owning in EvE) won't happen. - Player housing and ownership will absolutely be a thing, but it's expected to be instanced and like "owning an apartment", but because of server instancing/meshing, you could have any number of people actually owning "Flat 23 B" in a hab tower. Players will also be able to own multiple housing units around the 'verse. - TOW assets aren't coming into Arena Commander and ToW IS BEING WORKED ON, BUT NOT WITH A LARGE TEAM/PRIORITY. There is a group that is testing different game modes when they're doing work on it. One feature from TOW team that the AC update has is the ability to spawn into other people's ships, but TOW "maps and assets" aren't being put into AC. (Impression from other conversations later was that TOW is being worked on, but the priority focus is on other gameplay aspects) - 600i rework is still being considered but it's not on the tracker because it's taken a back seat to many other things. - There was a long and complicated discussion about the economy and the effect of the Hull-C on the economy, but the gist of it is that certain ships are considered as "haulers" while others are considered as "delivery" ships. Ones that are able to land are "Delivery" while "haulers" carry stuff from one station to another and have inter-stellar capability. Todd Papy did state he didn't particularly see the Hull-C as inter-stellar. Which is a bit weird. But the long and short of it was that they don't really have a projection on how the Hull-C will affect the economy yet. Most of this conversation was focused around how players could move things between Pyro and Stanton, nothing was really said about the Hull-C's effect on things when it comes into 3.20. - CIG realize what a mess the "updated Cutlass" price debacle was and double, double pinky swear that any time there will be a price increase on existing ships, it will be advertised well beforehand on Spectrum. -FPS Sliding and additional animations will be a thing, no ETA given. - Passenger transport missions will come after freight transport missions. - Quanta isn't seen as virtual economy gameplay, more NPC focused and adjusting shop prices in-game. -Persistent hangars are slated to come out when the next iteration of cargo systems come into the game. -AI Blades aren't really being worked on right now, but NPC crew stuff with "wingman commands" are being tested, but no idea when we will have implementation.

  4. MANIFESTO While the game is being developed we would like to build one of the most dedicated and organized groups in the Star Citizen Universe. We will be able to accomplish much in the initial stages of Star Citizen’s release and carve out our own piece of the ‘Verse just for Imperium. Imperium Mission Imperium’s overall goal is to have fun in Star Citizen. However, this does not mean that we will not strive to be one of the best. At launch, Imperium plans acquire an area in fringe(null-sec) space to establish our operations and expand. We will find a beneficial location that will allow us to have a prosperous economy in the game, enabling us access to a variety of materials. This will allow our explorers to find the minerals, miners to extract, transports to move, and military to protect. We will create a military force that strives to be second to none. While we may command large numbers, we won’t be superior for that fact alone. A training program is in the works for specific ships, scenarios, and professions in Star Citizen that will adapt to changes in the ‘verse. Our fleet will be a home for any and all pilots that are like minded and willing to contribute to the organization. An additional aspect we have to offer is our Unit System. Units are not mandatory, but encouraged for groups of friends who share similar interests and the same play time. Units will eventually be able to take on missions as a group, putting their training as a unit against any threats that attempt to rise up against Imperium. We have already established a solid foundation from which to stand, now we need only you to continue building! Why join Imperium? While the game is being developed we would like to build one of the most dedicated and organized groups in the Star Citizen Universe. We will be able to accomplish much in the initial stages of Star Citizen’s release and carve out our own piece of the Verse’ just for Imperium. We are looking for responsible players to contribute to all the professions that Star Citizen will offer. As the game draws closer, we will fill our leadership positions with members who demonstrate motivation, knowledge and sensibility. What We Offer: 1. Mutual respect to everyone, member or ally. We will work together with our friends and allies to create an enjoyable experience in the Star Citizen Universe. 2. We are one of the largest structured international organizations, with active members from all around the globe. 3. The option to join or create an Imperium unit for you and your friends that have shared interests in various game mechanics. 4. A unique mission system and LFG tool that will be hosted on SCB for any star citizen and Imperium member to use. How to Join: 1. Create an account on our Portal at: portal.starcitizenbase.com/join 2. Press the Join us now! at the top right of the RSI Imperium organization page 3. Provide a link to your portal account in the application form, and then submit your application 4. While waiting for approval, feel free to join us on our Discord, or read through our wiki

Hey Nick, We're a fan forum, but we've been around awhile. It sounds to me like what you're experiencing is server side lag that tends to happen when a server becomes unstable / before a 30k. Usually when this kind of thing happens, most people will jump into a bed or land at a station, log off, then hop regions to a different server and keep on playing.

There doesn't seem to be much to do solo as a CS5 so I figured I'd share some of my research on what I think is an actual viable mission loop. A CS5 has non-crim allies/party members. They QT onto the CS5 when the CS5 does an assassination mmission. The CS5 uses an eclipse to remove the 3 to 4 escorts fast. Then a ghost to soft death the main target. The non-crim allies loot the cargo. 3 hard deaths should == one soft death. Master Assassin mission cargoes are divided into two half sized cargo loot tables and 1 small sized cargo loot table. The half sized cargo has 5% chance of quantanium and 6% chance of all "low valued drugs". The other half sized cargo includes 9% drugs and 5% quantanium. And INCLUDES Maze. The small loot table is 30% weevil eggs or 70% taranite which sells for the price of gold. With these loot tables I find that master Assassin missions are far...far superior to ERT bounty loot tables. As far as I can tell they have not been nerfed in 3.22.0a I can't really find other "viable" mission loops for CS5. Bunkers are one way trips because of elevator camping. Mining claims are low pay. If you get lucky you get some space missions off comms... I don't find the comms towers to be viable because your bounty is a target and the comms tower just tells people you're vulnerable. Salvage is a valid game loop because you can take those missions and you can be in-out fast enough to be off comms during the vulnerable parts. But I think landing at Grim is a crapshoot. As someone who steals CMAT at Grim and knows how to sell it at Grim. I'd prefer Salvage to just be a bonus when I torpedo a reclaimer who thinks Grim is a convenient space port. Also yes, you can sell stolen goods at Grim. I won't tell here how to do it. It's Google-able. But as far as I know it's an exploit to be patched. So hence won't share the method. I also don't think you're really living with a CS5 if you're just getting comms taken down. Anyone can do anything without crime stat when that is the case. Also regarding klescher. I can do the Parkor including the 5 tigerclaw locations in under 10minutes. I have NEVER. Not once. Been able to spawn a vehicle in either of the 2 vehicle bays. Urchins or whatever they are. So I have NO clue what's up with that "need an out" mission. It's led me to think of staging ships near Klescher. But I do not have the patience to test their persistence and if persistence is per shard only. Theoretically per game session it'll persist plenty. So I might consider leaving a nomad or something at Klescher to run to whenever I need. Just recently my non-crim org members helped me SPK away my CS5 run It took about 30minutes of spamming away the murders. I did 25% of the misdemeanors before giving up and just logging off and respawning at home base. Paying off the remaining "vehicle crimes" was over 1mil in credits. If there's no cap to klescher time (I hear mixed results) than my recent CS5 run at 4.5hours per murder and I think it's an hour for vehicle destructions...equalled: 220hours or so. I've been told the klescher time caps out at 24hours or 400hours. I really don't know what the real answer to that is. I estimate you can pay off 16hours every 30minutes or 15minutes with take-downs and looting hadanite and doing deep O2 missions. But I think for a solo I'd prefer the staged vehicle the most. Just park it and backspace outta there. For orgs obviously you can maybe get a pick up. But I don't like to rely on orgs for that. If your org is super fancy you can stage a mule full of tiger claws in Klescher to pay off the time. Been told a backpack worth is 900,000 credits.

    Hello everyone.

Hello, I'm a relatively new player to Star Citizen as I finally bought a starter pledge (100i) during the Foundation Festival 2023. I decided to join Imperium after having Federal as my guide for a couple of hte weekends since he is quite knowledgeable and the groups we had were enjoyable. Given the somewhat off workhours I have due to working in the evenings the time that I can play games is kind of odd for someone in the Chicago metropolitan area so I had been looking for an organization whose goals aligned with my own, and that people would be on when I was able to typically log on. (I despise piracy, griefing, and those who exploit bugs and glitches for gain at the cost of others as such activities take away from the enjoyment others can have in the game.) I'm looking forward to the Engineering, Science, and Exploration game loops that haven't been added in yet. Not quite sure which ships I'm most looking forward to piloting or working on as part of a crew since so many game play elements haven't been added in yet.

  18. Tons of guides out there so I can't begin to list all the things you can do to earn money. Monitor missions (“stop illegal surveillance”) are decent money makers on start. They are not in bunkers, you just fly to a station, find three monitor satellites, and after that kill then within 5 minutes. Very easy 20k And as for gear, when you do box delivery missions, look for loot boxes and gear up that way. OR... If you do a bunker mission you will have a full set of everything. GL... and its a game so have fun or it's no longer a game

  30. The blue statement / correction is the "correct" bit based off of condensing the info from the Q&A. There's a team that does work on ToW and some dynamics going into the updated AC modes came from that team, but it doesn't have a huge priority. My initial statement about it being shelved came from me misremembering a part of the Q&A and once I was able to watch the recording I fixed it.

  33. Very simple to fix : 1) Go to Star Citizen RSI webpage and fill the form to log in with your account as if you have no problems. 2) The page will show you that you need an auth code 3) Down on this message you will see the options to get back your account if you can not log in 4) One of this option is: to fill an assistance ticket from outside your account, just using the page as guest 5) Fill the ticket: they will answer soon to you and, of course, will ask you personal account informations to verify your identity 6) Once done this step, they (the assistance tec) will reset the security of your account to the email that is inside it, so the next time you will try to log in will be not a code from your auth to use but the code sended to your email. 7) wait almost one hour...sometime the RSI webpage is slowly to upgrade it's database. 😎 Once done with the tickect assistance, try to log in again: this time the code will be sended you trought your email with a message: use it and get back inside You will get back your account and all your goodies. Hope it helped: good luck PS: The game app launcher can need also 1 day to upgrade your log in accont changes...don't ask me the reason...it's al alpha

  44. Running at Medium/60fps tends to be subjective to the area of the game you're in. Space areas with some debris should be less taxing than, say, flying around Crusader (one of the planets). Your main bottleneck issue will likely be your graphics card. There's a public telemetry dashboard that will give you very GENERAL figures of what you might expect for performance based off of what CIG's tracked client performance being with different rigs. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/telemetry It's not always accurate, but it's decent for general info and to give you an idea of what you'd likely see if you had certain GPU/CPU combinations. Your specific combination shows up here based off of 'general settings'. You can play around with resolution, graphics settings, etc... to see what the average fps would be based on a number of other factors.

  46. It has come to the attention of Imperium Fleet Command and SCB administrators that The Base Radio has decided to incorporate into their website https://thebase.sc/about/history a factually inaccurate claim detailed here. The date being October 16, 2021 is important, as are the key claims that Imperium Command UNILATERALLY and UNEXPECTEDLY announced that the partnership was ended. Additionally, the qualifier “supposedly for reason that we think are unrelated to the Base itself” is a curious addition, and probably a bit of a projection as to the actual reasons why the Base Radio chose to unilaterally sever its ties with SCB and Imperium. Yes, the Base Radio is the initiator of the unilateral separation. Evidence of this is shown by the sudden resignations of nearly all Base Radio “staff” that had been members of Imperium. These resignations happened up to a month before the post referenced above. Here are the records of resignations beginning in 15 September 2021 and culminating in a “mass exodus” in the first week of October, right before CitizenCon. At the time of their leaving, most of these individuals were either listed as “Monkey Crew” (staff) on the Base Radio discord, or they were often in the Base Radio discord voice communications or acting as contributors. As is easily seen by the dates, this exodus happened well before our announcement. There were no communications from any of these people directly to SCB / Imperium leadership explaining why they had left, with two notable exceptions being Radoorid and TheOnly, who were the only ones who gave their intent to leave. Most of the members who left Imperium also left the Imperium discord either during their exodus or sometime afterward, with no communication directly to SCB or Imperium leadership as to why they had done so. Given the lack of communication from all except the two above mentioned members, and the fact that SCB/Imperium waited approximately two weeks before making any public statement, it should be quite clear from the timeline that the separation was not initiated on our part, but theirs. It seems evident that the Base Radio’s statement,“…reasons, that we think are unrelated to The Base itself…” led to the separation is likely true, because those people left Imperium and severed their connection for reasons that had nothing to do with Imperium/SCB’s treatment of the Base Radio. Instead it was due to unhappiness these members felt with a decision Imperium leadership made that affected one of the persons who left Imperium (we’ll call them Person X). This projection on the part of the Base Radio’s history page is nothing short of laughable. Information provided to Imperium / SCB leadership from sources at the time confirmed that not only did members of the Base Radio feel strongly negative toward the leadership’s decision that affected Person X, but there was even talk that Imperium and SCB leadership should resign due to the decision and designate members of the Base Radio as the new leadership. None of the members of the Base Radio had any position in leadership or any real information as to the situation surrounding Person X except, potentially, what Person X shared with them. This is because Imperium leadership had heeded Person X’s request to not have a public notice given around their situation. We honored and continue to honor that request, despite the fact that our position seems to have led the Base Radio to falsely claim that Imperium Command is the originator of the end of the SCB / Base Radio partnership. Given the history of the Base Radio and its origination as an Imperium Media project that grew into a semi-independent entity, largely staffed by members of Imperium, it is very unfortunate to see such a blatant lie being spread by the Base Radio. Hopefully the information provided above will help clear up the false and disingenuous information the Base Radio has put out. For now, SCB / Imperium leadership and admins see this as a confirmation that the Base Radio’s unilateral separation from SCB / Imperium was best for all parties involved.

  47. Not impressed with this Cutlass Steal nor the Q&A. Effectively they charge $235 for a Cutlass Black that was given a few S1 doorguns and a small remote turret where the Black will get its tractorbeam turret; then they crammed in 18 seats which reduced the cargo capacity to 0. Sounds to me like a minimal effort ship just so they could sell people on Jumptown2.0. It's the same level of 'effort' that they showed with the ROC-DumbSeat (which was originally a discarded design), or the Cyclone-MT (which was just a TR with 4 S3 missiles; thus making the more expensive AA obsolete). Heck, it has the exact same components too with only 1 S2 shield so that thing is going to pop instantly. CIG could have take this opportunity to give each Cutlass variant 2xS2 shields at the very least and could have reduced the number of dropseats on this Cutlass Steal to 10 and a small cargo grid. CIG was in such a hurry that they didn't even bother to check if the dropseats would fit as they are also clipping into the fire extinguisher and people have said that it's very hard to actually get the gun out of the gunrack next to each seat. So yeah... The most egregious thing was the price though as this thing should have been sold at $120 max imo; not $235. That's just corporate greed imo. I thought Drake was making cheap no-frills ships so why this insane price? To me this was just a last-ditch minimal effort cash-grab at the 11th hour. You'd be better off with 3 regular Cutlass Blacks as each already has 6 seats in the back and then also have vehicles onboard for ground support and/or cargo to actually carry the drugs out. This Cutlass Steal has 0SCU so can't even get at the cargo. Personally I'd rather come in with a Redeemer. It may only have 4 jumpseats (and 4 additional marines could secure themselves in the beds if needs be) but at least it has massive shields, massive firepower, and 2SCU worth of cargo capacity to get the drugs to the authorities at Port Olisar.
